Estero Inn

Stayed for two nights starting Valentines Day 2016.
Young lady at desk (maybe Jenny?) was very nice and check in was quick. She showed us to our room. We stayed n the Marine Suite. Jesus that room is huge! It’s also the accessible room so roomy walk in shower which was nice. Great view out one window at Morro Rock.
While not this business we did get couples massage at the spa there and were very happy.
Breakfast was simple and really I think the basics of continental for those needed a bite before leaving as the entire street has food.
We appreciated food and holiday recommendations of staff. The room was clean and cleaning staff nice. My only criticism was the beds. That room has two and both were squeaky and a little lumpy.
Will we stay there again? Yes! Hoping for new beds though.

Can’t imagine a better setting to spend the night in Morro Bay. I thought the sunset couldn’t be beat however waking up in the Kelp Forest Suite to see the fishing boats quietly coming in, pelicans diving and sea otters cracking shells on their chests all with just an opening of an eye was a real treat.
It has clean, albeit simple, furnishings with a fireplace and sofa that makes for an extra bed if needed.
All other reviews stating lovely service and easy check in and out are reliable.

Adorable, easy, clean, great service. This place was perfect apart from one thing — the bed/​mattress needs to be replaced.
Otherwise, we loved it. Great staff. Great locations. Super quiet. Very clean — I loved the bathroom and kitchenette in our room.
I highly suggest this inn. A new mattress would have gotten them a 5 star review for sure.

We stayed in the Bay suite and loved it. It was very clean and helped us fulfill our mission of having a relaxing weekend.
Checking in was a breeze and they offer complimentary passes to wine tasting for 2 down the street.
Breakfast included yogurt, fresh fruit, juice/​milk/​among other things and a waffle maker! It was a good start to our day.
Wifi was reliable as well.
This is a great place to stay!

Did I tell you that I am in love with Morro Bay? It was our first visit and I can assure you, it is definitely not our last. We had the Sunset Suite and the view was amazing. The suite was very roomy, clean, and bed was comfortable. We were able to sleep with the patio door open and listen to the waves and boats all night long. The staff was responsive to any requests we had. We were within walking distance of some fantastic resturants. Stay here, you won’t be sorry!

We were pleasantly surprised. The suite is clean and very accommodating. The bed is super soft and comfy. It is right on the water and has a great view of the bay and the rock. When we walked into our room, it was obvious that is was freshly painted by the smell of paint. We did have to open the slider to air it out. Not a complaint… I appreciate the upkeep! The bathroom was super clean too! It is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely return and recommend this Inn.

This was our first time in Morro Bay, and we loved it. Our room at Estero was very comfortable, modern, and had a great bay view. Our room had a balcony, gas fireplace, wet bar, small refrigerator, very nice bathroom with tub, flat screen TV. Would definitely stay here again.
great location, easy to walk to lots of places. Free breakfast was very adequate, and staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was large and very comfortable.

We booked this hotel as a romantic weekend. We paid extra for the second floor bay view. The reviews and office staff told us the bed were very comfortable The room we got was rather small, nice and clean. The view was of a ugly barge. We sat on the bed and sank 8 inches — very soft. The queen mattress was so bad we immediately left (ate the cost of the hotel room) and found other accommodations locally. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody over 40 or who may suffer from any type of back issues. The mattress and no support

Great little spot on the water in Morro Bay. We stay here one evening and had a lovely time. The breakfast was great homemade waffles with fresh strawberries and whip cream, SLO coffee fresh & orange juice. We will be returning soon.

My wife and I did a little road trip to celebrate our 1^st anniversary. On the first night, we had an issue, that caused me to leave the room at 10pm and find the proper tools to fix the problem. By midnight, we solved the problem, but it ruined the mood we were trying to create, in particular, by picking this small inn.
The ENTIRE STAFF was EXCELLENT in handling the situation. They were kind, professional, and sympathetic to us for our stay.
The inn is close to EVERYTHING, so it was nice we could walk everywhere.
I would advise anyone that is going to Morro Bay to stay here.
A bit pricey, but worth it.
Free Parking, Free Wifi, Free Breakfast, and no «resort fee» or other such nonsense.

Stayed there with my wife over this past weekend. We had the Bayview Suite which was very nice and well maintained. It is too bad the hotel sits adjacent to a barge outfit and the stinking barge is an eyesore view to the south. Other than that, the room and it’s little balcony is excellent.
Gave a 4 star for what I felt was a lack of warm, friendly service upon our reception. The front desk attendant would answer a question if asked, but did not volunteer any advice or suggestions about places to go, see or eat in town. Also, when I went down to the breakfast, the OJ was gone and no one around to replenish.
All-​in-​all, a bit overpriced, but still a great place to stay.

Me and my wife decided to honeymoon here. We stayed in the Morro Rock room, and the week before arrival I called to ask that champagne and roses be put into the room secretly. They not only remembered but went above and beyond with food recommendations, things to do, brochures– even checking with me on our second day to see how everything was going and if there was anything we needed. I was beyond impressed with this hotel and staff. We stayed 3 nights and there’s even a 20% discount next door for massage services when staying at the Estero. Don’t miss this place. It’s well worth the price – trust me.

As newlyweds on our honeymoon, Estero Inn went above and beyond to make our celebration that much more memorable. We highly recommend this place for anyone traveling through central coast, Morrow Bay! Cheers!

Laying in my bed in the sunset suite at this very moment, I am happy as can be.
The fireplace warms the cold February night and I can hear the seals through my window. Tomorrow morning, I will wake up to the most beautiful view at sunrise, Morro Bay.
The hotel is simple but perfect for the area, incredibly clean, and the reception hostess was very sweet.
Rates are decent, and the location makes it the perfect excuse to extend an otherwise-​too-​long drive back to LA.

It appears to be a local place run by family. Not too big and just the right amount of rooms. Located by the pier.
One can get a beautiful view of the water, the rock and boats.
They have done a good job with sound proofing the windows. We could hardly hear any of the outside noise.
Clean room — comfy beds w/​clean linens
Bathroom was modern with sufficient lighting. It also had a heater.
The staff was helpful, gave us a warm welcome and explained to us the formalities.
They do have breakfast included, but honestly, not so great.
Room rates were slightly on the expensive side but I guess it was thanksgiving weekend. They also have a small parking lot for guests to park their cars at.
Now, the most important detail — free wifi!!! tada :)

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed in one of the suites, which had an excellent view of Morro Rock! The room was nice, the place was nice, the people at the front desk were nice. I loved it!
We ended up wanting to go kayaking the following morning, so we asked the woman at the front desk. They were like, «Oh, just borrow our kayak, we don’t want you getting charged by those rental companies.» Sweet! The owner came out and took us over to his personal kayak, letting us gallivant all over the bay at our leisure. I couldn’t believe how nice he was, and how concerned he was that we enjoy our time there. He built the inn himself, and we could tell he had put a lot of hard work into it as he glowed with pride.
They gave us an excellent recommendation for breakfast down the street. An excellent place to stay!

We were in Morro Bay for the winter birding festival last weekend. I went online to see what the rooms looked like and to see which one had the best ocean and rock views: the Ocean View room was perfect. I could lay in bed and actually SEE Morro Rock! All the niceties were included too: chocolates, flowers, Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, big fluffy towels, microwave, fridge, gas fireplace, comfy bed (although the pillows were firmer than I prefer). Lots of counter and storage space in the bathroom and in the actual room we had floor to ceiling cabinets (like a kitchen pantry) with place to hide your luggage, camera gear, binoculars, etc. My only gripe (and I had the same gripe about the Monterey Plaza): very cheap toilet paper. Nuff said.
Wifi worked perfectly, didn’t hear any of our neighbors — although the boat rental place next-​door had a very loud party Friday night that thankfully ended early. We could hear the seals all night but that wasn’t a bad thing. We had a small little balcony that we did use everyday. It was relaxing to sit there with a glass of wine (see my picture) and watch the goings-​ons of a real working harbor or to watch the sunset.
Our first night we asked to borrow wine glasses and Rick gave us champagne flutes and regular wine glasses as well. Staff here are wonderful. A continental breakfast is included but not your usual pastries and orange juice. Cereals, granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels & cream cheese, muffins and nut bread, juice, coffee and freshly made Belgium waffles. The breakfast room is really tiny but it’s a nice place to meet other guests. There’s also a single table outside if it’s warm enough.
We had a birding event early Sunday morning that was going to end at checkout time and they accommodated our request for a late checkout, 12 o’clock instead of 11 (we actually got back before 11:30) and there was no extra charge. I liked the Inn’s location too, at the far end of town, close enough to walk everywhere but far away from the middle of town noise.
We’re definitely going back soon!!!
