JD Floor Store

Had a great experience with John and his staff, all the way from selection through installation. Initally started talking to J.D. because of the quality and quantity of reference information on the website. Then I went by in person, and the staff at the store was very knowledgeable and friendly. As another reviewer also mentioned, I was free to look around the store as long as I wanted without pressure or being shadowed, and I got to take home several nice large samples to look at in my house. Once I made the decision to go forward, scheduling and installation was very smooth. The installers were very friendly and professional, a real pleasure to work with, and the quality of work is great. I love my new floor and would absolutely recommend J.D.

We recently had all the carpet taken up in our second floor and replaced with bamboo flooring. The experience we had with JD Flooring was very positive, helpful, and friendly. We received a very good product, price, and professional installation. Because the type of the bamboo flooring that we want was relatively new, John was very patiently explaining all bits and pieces related to the flooring. I also could leisurely look around his store for flooring samples without someone looking after your back like in other stores. The people in the store (Kevin and sometimes John) answered all my questions very detailed and informative. They let us take home some samples so we can decide what we want with no rush. JD Floor Store was also able to meet with our tight schedules prior to moving our furnitures into our house after we closed. The installation itself went very fast, only 1 day for the entire second floor. Everything went great and we totally love our floor. We will definitely call JD flooring store again in the future!

We recently had J.D. Floor Store install engineered strand bamboo floors and are very, very please with the end result. They were completely accommodating from day 1 when we went in to browse in person, and answered our (what seemed like) hundreds of questions throughout the process. When it came time for our flooring decision, the actual purchase process was very easy, and the installation was only about a week after! The crew that came out was great and very professional and SO FAST! What would have taken us weeks and weeks to even attempt to do (and probably ultimately mess up) took them 1.5 days. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend J.D. Floor Store to anyone in the area thinking about a new floor installation.

Great job,.mthe floor looks great. JD came by and measured and basically threw in the entry way, pulling up the old tile and extending the wood flooring to the foyer. The price was good and they moved everything and put it back. Good experience.

Let me tell you how great these guys were. I originally called them out to refinish my hardwood floors, and to my surprise the owner of the store advised me to save my money and wait a couple more years. So later when I decided to replace my carpet I called them out, while at the same time getting an estimate from Home Depot.
JD Floor store: The owner came out, measured my house, advised me on what kinds of carpet would be good for my needs and how I could get new carpet in some areas, but leave old carpet (that was still in good shape) in other areas, without it looking odd. He was here over an hour and suggested a mid-​price but high quality carpet, and even a color that would go well with my existing carpet. Their estimate included moving all furniture, including disassembling and reassembling a couple of HUGE pieces of furniture, and also moving all my electronics.
Home Depot: The people at the store itself were very nice, and set up my measure. To save money I asked for a quote using one of the cheapest cuts of carpet they had — a low quality, low cost carpet (about ²⁄₃ the cost of what I chose from JD Floor store). The guy came to measure and I tried to ask him a couple questions (will that kind of carpet look good on stairs? will the seams show?) and he said, «M’am, I don’t know ANYTHING about carpet, I just measure.»
Now, based on my square footage and price of the carpet alone Home Depot SHOULD have been at least $ 1000 less, and even more since this with their special «whole house install for $ 99.» But they have so many extra charges (carpet removal, pad removal, furniture moving — and a couple other things I can’t remember) that it was only $ 300 (about 7%) less than the JD Floor quote. AND they told me I would have to hire movers to disassemble and move my large furniture and electronics, then hire them to come back and reassemble and move everything back when they were done! It wasn’t included in the price and they wouldn’t do it at any cost.
Well, I went with JD Floor store. They had the carpet installed within a week of my order, the crew were very professional, careful with my belongings and cleaned up after themselves. The carpet looks phenomenal and feels like a much higher quality than the price would suggest. I can’t tell you how happy I am — I got a great product, great service and a great price. I don’t normally post on these places because, honestly, I“m too lazy and not easily impressed, but I’m going to cut and paste this review on every site I can find!
