Saturday was a day for my daughter since we had t been able to do much with me being gone for two weeks and then Jonas blowing through town. Skyla specifically asked for the Chinese buffet so that’s where we landed. She had been here wit her father twice already and they both were raving about it. So I knew I had to give it a try. I am not big on buffets but let’s just say I will definitely be back! Upon entering we were greeted with a smile and quickly shuffle to a booth where we were asked what would we like to drink and the waitress returned quickly with our water and fresh lemon. I had read in previous reviews that the service was horrible? Well first of all at a buffet place typically the service isn’t going to be catering if you will they will check on you to take your plates and offer you refills which would which is what was done to us at least three times which in my book is a solid four star restaurant. I was very impressed with the selection of food at the buffet I was very excited to see some of my old favorite and some of my new favorites. The sushi was really really good! It was prepared fresh! It tasted fantastic! I like the bees and broccoli as well very very fresh!!! And let’s face it when my bill came and it was 22 dollars I was like yay!!! And we were all happy! These days you can’t beat a bargain! We will definitely be back!

My daughter and I have been here twice now and just like any buffet it’s not the best food, but that’s not why you come. Their sushi is decent and for a buffet place if it is decent well that fits my bill especially for only $ 11 at dinner time. They have the normal chinese dishes and stuff for the kids and a limited dessert selection. They also have a mongolian area, though I haven’t tried it yet. It hasn’t been overly busy and the service has been great with refills. In fact we will probably be back tomorrow!

It is not the best Chinese buffet I have ever had but I think it is for sure the best I Morgantown and the best I have been to In the area. They have a lot of different food choices from traditional Chinese, sushi, hibachi, traditional American and dessert as well. The price is a great deal for lunch and the lunch hours are pretty broad! The staff is nice and overall it’s a great dining experience.

This buffet is a 4 anywhere else but in Morgantown –it’s a five star, in my books. Reviews I read for this place were inadequate at best. Obviously all written by NY critics… not! As I see it, most of the reviewers would find Golden Corral better… I digress. Food is tasty, buffets are ultra clean as are tables. Spacious restaurant with a cozy ambiance. Service attentive w/plates & bowls whisked away in a timely manner. Great selection of hot dishes and pride is evident in the quality. Owner has obviously stepped up game in light of previous reviews. Location is easy to get to w/newish mall area and lots of parking. Cmon and grab a plate. Filling and a tasty treat amongst the biscuits n gravy fare of the chains and other restaurants in the area.

Typical Chinese buffet. Nothing extravagant or fancy. If you just want to be a glutton for 10 dollars then this is a good place to fill up. Not sure why people claim it’s horrible service… it’s a buffet! Get off your butt and serve yourself.

Typical chinese buffet, but sushi bar slightly better than average. A plus is that they have coconut shrimp –shrimp drenched in sweet, mayonnaise-y, hint-of-coconut sauce… my favorite guilty pleasure food. Also extra plus the Mongolian grill chef gave me an extra egg in my stir fry noodles when I asked for it. Yay Ice cream not too icy nor too creamy. Perfect standard average chinese buffet machine ice cream~

This, in my opinion, is one of the best buffets in Morgantown food wise. The food is generally pretty good. The employees, however, lack professionalism. They don’t tend to their tables very well, checking in only to deliver the check. The waitresses are constantly yelling to one another across the restaurant. Also, today I went in to grab some takeout, and two girls started to fist fight right at the front podium! A man, who I am assuming is the owner or manager, broke it up before it went too far and someone got hurt. He then proceeded to yell at only one of the girls, before returning to take my order. If you are looking for attentive staff and great food, this place is not for you. If you are okay with them dropping you off at your table to be left to your own devices, this place is great.

The food was half way decent. The service however was spotty. I waited a while for a refill while the workers just sat in a booth and ate. Also the food on the bar started getting cold after a while. My bad for a general chineese Buffett

First, let me be very clear: the only reason I’ve given 2 stars is for the Mongolian Grill and the coconut shrimp. I’ve been a loyal customer for 4 years and I wish I could afford to go more often. For the past several trips we have had the displeasure of having the slightly red-headed skinny Asian woman who has the foulest attitude I have ever encountered. We ordered water and proceeded to get our food. After 30 minutes we still had not gotten a refill on water, so I walked up to the sushi chef(who was watching animé behind the counter) to get me a refill. When our red-headed waitress saw me get the waters, she went behind the counter and rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to badmouth me in Chinese. When she finally brought our check, she made sure to follow us to the register to handle our transaction and see if we would leave a tip. LETMEBECLEAR: TIPSDEMANDSERVICE. When I left $ 0.00 she rolled her eyes at me again and continued to badmouth me. I refuse to tip a waitress who does not consistently check on refills, doesn’t clear our plates, and is blatantly rude. It is called a job for that very reason. She is in serious need of an attitude adjustment; we will not be returning to our favorite Chinese buffet because we were treated so poorly on numerous occasions, even though the food is delicious. It’s not worth the drama.

Buffet had lots of selections of different dishes including salad and dessert bar including ice cream. Chef made to order food also. They had crab legs which were old and soggy, really did not understand why they had them Our waitress was not helpful and sort of rude, we felt unwelcome by her. Don’t think I will go back.

I came with a friend on the weekend and we arrived at around 8:30 p.m. I asked what time they closed and they said 10:00 p.m. So we sat down. They were technically right. They did close at 10:00 p.m. but from 9:00 p.m. the cleanup started and the staff ate their dinners in the one part of the restaurant. The toilets were being cleaned when I tried to use them. After 9:00 p.m. you’ll find less and less available and you’ll know that you should have come earlier. The food is fine. Chinese, sushi, deserts, fish, and so on. The pricing is slightly higher on the weekends than on weekdays and, of course, dinner is more expensive than lunch. We sat next to a couple that looked like they were on a date. She was Chinese, around 40 years old, and slim and attractive. He was around 50 years old and looked like your average American male. They were right next to us. At one stage one of the waitresses came over and talked to the woman for one or two minutes. When the waitress left the man asked the woman what the conversation was all about. She said that the waitress asked«if I was Chinese» and then she asked if you were my friend or my boyfriend. The patron Chinese woman then said that she was not going to say what the last bit of the conversation was all about and the American guy didn’t ask again. It’s quite obvious that the last bit was something negative that the American guy would not have enjoyed hearing. So when it comes to the comments about the rude staff here I can back that up. The waitress went out of her way to say something negative. She even started the conversation. There’s a good chance that they won’t be coming back. Not sure if we’ll be back either.

Typical Chinese Buffet. Food is good, service is sub par. None of the staff is very friendly, but my drink was never empty so that was a plus. They also kept the Buffet well filled during the dinner hours, especially the crab legs. I’ve also gotten take out off the Buffet which was great. For $ 8 you can fill a Togo box for lunch. I’ve also ordered off their lunch special menu to go and that was a mistake. I ordered general tsos and rice, and that’s all you get for $ 9. The menu said it came with egg rolls and a drink, but when I asked the woman at the register told me they don’t do that anymore. So I now know to get the buffet to go for a lot cheaper and for more food.

The food is excellent. It’s my favorite Chinese place here in Morgantown. The only downside is feeling like the waitresses are annoyed every time someone walks in. The lady who usually takes the payment at the cash register seems the most irritated. Again, the food is amazing, so if you don’t care whether or not the staff dotes on you, you’ll love it.

As far as Chinese Buffets go, this one ranks upper middle among it’s peers. The décor is nice, but you can tell that the people who built it weren’t all that concerned with maintenance in the long term. There are dividers throughout the restaurant that separate different sections. Those dividers consist of tall skinny plastic tubes, which have water, air bubbles, and fake fish bouncing around inside. They haven’t been cleaned recently, but it isn’t especially disgusting — just weird. As far as the food selection goes — it is your basic American-Chinese thoroughfare. They have crab legs on their dinner buffet. There is also sushi, apparently made onsite, and some kind of hibachi-ish setup wherein you pick your ingredients and a «chef» cooks it up on a flat-top grill in front of you. This place isn’t my first choice when deciding where to eat out, but it is a strong option when time is a consideration.

This buffet is probably the best in town. Best service… NO. Women were having a good time talking along them self. Food was yummy though. Great dumplings and sushi for a buffet :) I don’t care what people say. I think this place is yummy!

Nothing to like here. I’m not a big fan of buffets and this is just another typical Chinese mistake. Most of the selections taste the same. The chicken and broccoli was undercooked and watery. The Mongolian grill was slightly better still sub par. I will not go back.

Probably the best Chinese Buffet in Morgantown, but considering the options in this town that’s not necessarily a huge achievement. The food is good, but not great. I’ve had a lot better Chinese food elsewhere, but if you’re craving some in Morgantown I would recommend here. Lunch prices are good but weekend dinner price is very high for what you get.

Update: We’ve eaten here a few more times and now I’m always on the verge of never coming back to this place or any other buffet restaurant. I started off with some decent experiences, but the quality of the food just keeps getting worse.(from 4 stars to 2) Original review: We always like eating here. The restaurant is clean, the staff is courteous and the food is good. Our server actually cracked open all the crab legs for my son! Yes, you will sometimes come across a dish that is past it’s prime sitting out for too long, but that’s par for the course with a buffet. Not 3 stars for average, but 4 because they are a little bit better than your typical Chinese buffet. Give them a try!

I can’t say that I’ve experienced better in Morgantown or many other places. All the Chinese buffet places I’ve been to are all the same. This one just falls into that«Hm, yeah, it was OK» category. Nothing special and nothing great. It is what it is, a Chinese buffet. You know what to expect. You can order carry-out and there is plenty of parking. It is great for groups as there seems to be lots of room most of the time.

Do not go here if you are vegetarian. Although the coupon flyer in the mail states there are vegetarian dishes, there are very few. The labels are not clear at all, ie «cheese wontons» really means«crab & cheese wontons», the eggs rolls are vegetarian but not labelled as such, there were no vegetarian sushi rolls(how hard is it to make a california veggie roll?), and the staff cannot understand your questions so even if you ask if something is vegetarian it is frustrating to get an answer; so forget about even asking about fish sauce etc if you are trying to be a consistent vegetarian. What looked like potato salad has chicken in it. if you are adventurous about eating meat and seafood it is worth trying at least once to see if you like it, they have some pretty«exotic» looking dishes. If you are looking for healthy, fresh and vegetarian friendly chinese food, this is not the place to spend your money.
