M & H Tavern

What can I say, the only place in Morgan Hill that you can come back to drink before you are hungover. Lol. I don’t usually go to bars but if you are in the restaurant industry, this is the place to go after work. The only place close to this would be the hill. So happy that they are across the street from each other.

Classic Dive bar. Great place to gather at the end of a good day. No frills, but a strong pour. Juke box & darts. The «bouncers» are approachable & have your back.

Would have 5 start if it had a pool table but no room. Any place with a 6am opening time and carpet is a legit dive. This is a good place to grab a quick beer after work or drink before you have to go grocery shopping. The bartenders are all friendly and remember you and your drink after a few visits. Cheap beer and strong pours for cocktails. Really can’t go wrong unless you like dance music then your in the wrong spot and should get kicked in the balls.

We visit Morgan Hill at least once a year. Thought we would check out the local watering hole. Regulars were treated quite well. We didn’t even deserve recognition. There are plenty of other places with better customer service. Sorry M&H — you fail big time.

Nice patrons, nice bartender, very clean and cozy, cheap drinks.
They’ve got jukebox, ATM, beer on tap and a smoking area in the back.
It lacks of windows/​opening but it’s a nice dive bar. Perfect for few drinks before a nice dinner downtown!

I’ve been going here for years. Best drinks in town. Friendly staff and patrons. Always a good stop when out riding my MC.

Perfect small town dive bar on the main drag among plenty of very nice restaurants and shops. Comes equipped with local cool people from rich old farts to bad ass (but polite) bikers and of course cute chicks and hot dames– 4 beers on tap, 3 tvs, 1 jukebox, 1 ATM, 1 rear entrance from parking lot where you can smoke and electronic darts!

A very chill local bar that is very decently priced.
The bartenders are nice and the patrons is a good mixture of people.
Sometimes there is a large group of motorcycles in the back parking lot. Don’t let that deter you. The bikers are nice men and they are respectful to others.
They have chips and snacks for sale.
I believe you can order food from across the street and have an entrée delivered to you at the bar.
But ask your bartenders for details.

Bob is the biggest sweetheart I’ve seen behind the counter. Every bar tender here has been really sweet but bob has made sure to take care of me every time I’ve come in. Much love to m n h tavern.

We do not live in Morgan Hill but were meeting friends for dinner in downtown since they live in the area. My husband and I love a good dive bar and based on the look from the outside, this fit the bill. It didn’t matter that we were semi dressed up for dinner, who cares? They didn’t. Very nice ladies at the bar serving drinks for the price they should be. It was pretty early on a Saturday night (6:00pm) so it was fairly empty inside. It was dark and cozy inside but didn’t seem sticky. I highly recommend this place!

What can I say? They bartenders are fast and cordial. The drinks are cold. And even without a band or pool table, you can’t help but enjoy yourself, on a Friday or Saturday night. People having fun with no pretentious clientele. Just go and soak up the atmosphere lol

Always an experience to say the least. Been there on many occasions. I’ve had good times as well as bad. You never know what you’re gonna get when you walk in this place. It might get crowded, loud, etc., but if the bartender Bob is there he will always makes sure every customer is taken care of and respected. Annette is also nice and attentive as well always ready to get you another round. Mh tavern is one of a kind.

Best place in town. Great service and very friendly. Mixed age groups go here so if you want to have a good time at a local friendly bar this is the place. This is the only «local» bar in morgan hill.

This place has got decent beers on tap
I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was really cool and the drinks were incredible.
Service at the bar area tables was a bit slow at first (took awhile to get someones attention, but after that it was excellent). This place is great.

Not a bad Bloody Mary before starting the day! What can you say… kinds of «divey» but perect place to see the locals and watch some football. Will be back.

I liked the outdoor setting beer and the food but the only thing that killed it was our waitress. Rude and didn’t give good customer service, never attended our table and had another person do things for her. She would give dirty looks and wouldn’t ask how we were doing. Maybe it was the fake tits and tattoos. she got no tip and should be fired from this place.

Hmmmmmmm where do I start !
I drove from LA to Morgan Hill and felt like unwinding with a few drinks.
I walk in the bar music is going place is semi empty but feels comfortable.
I sit at the bar and after 8 – 10 minutes «Bob» the bartender walks over rubbing his mustache and goatee with his fingers (kinda gross unsanitary) whatever it’s a dive bar. I order a beer he brings it with the personality of a TURD.
Throughout the time I spend at the bar «bob» curses like a sailor and tell these 20 something kids how bad he was as a juvenile and how he kicks patrons out of «HIS» bar for being rude toward him.
As I watch him throughout the night he says totally inappropriate things to a 20 female I guess is about 25 years old. He then talks about «Mongols» a criminal biker gang and how he scared them off after throwing a member out of his bar.
At this point I’m thinking I’m a business owner and would hate for this guy to be working in my establishment and being the face of my business.
Cool bar great atmosphere BUT HORRIBLE STAFF…

I was at Ricatoni’s next door when i heard that the little league championship game was going über epic. So, I run out of Ricatoni’s desperately looking for a bar to watch the end of he game. A couple of doors down, viola.
After getting the game rundown from the local lifers at the bar, I settle into a seat and watch the last two innings. They didn’t make me buy anything, they just wanted my loving company. As such, I obliged.

Yep — It’s A-​Ok — But only because its dingy — Extremely dingy! But if you have good company (like I did — Thanks Daniel and M&M) then it can blossom into a beautiful Oasis!
D found this place while we were at the festival and told us to drop on by and their amazing 4 dollar liquor drinks — No liquor for me, please, but I’ll check out their beer. 4.50 for a Pint of Draft beer of your choice — Not bad — I enjoyed their New Castle and M liked their Hef.
I liked being served by the old man — he cracked a few jokes about his slow pace and wobbling hips — Nice one…
