C & M Auto Service

C&M Auto is amazing. I have a Mercedes, and hesitated to take it anywhere but Mercedes for the normal fears. I just needed a service and the price was actually more than DOUBLE at Mercedes, than what C&M charged. Because of the reviews and a friend referring me, I made an appointment. They were fast, extremely up-​front, courteous and the bill was actually less than their estimate. I recently took my car back for the second maintenance and they asked if I had received their coupon in the mail. I had not, so they discounted the bill! This was completely on their part, asking ME if I had a coupon! We are going back again this weekend with my husband’s car, which is a Toyota, but again, their prices are far less than the dealership and they do a perfect job. I am so happy to have found a reputable repair business, don’t hesitate for a moment, go to C&M!!!

I’ve always experienced personal service via the phone and when I arrive at the shop. WIFI availability makes it easy for me to wait and work while my car is being serviced. Prices are competitive and most importantly, I trust C&M Service whenever I need a job done. If for some reason I have a problem, I know they will follow-​up and get it resolved quickly.

I don’t live in Morgan Hill and had no clue who could fix an issue with the charging system on my old, old Miata. When I called C & M and asked «Jose» if their shop could replace the alternator on a 1990 Miata, he assured me that they could but probably «not today.» Imagine how pleased I was when the shop not only replaced the alternator but also identified a couple of other issues and fixed them too. All this in less than 24 hours. Thank you, thank you Jose and Craig for keeping me in the loop and putting me back on the road so quickly.

Need a great diesel shop? Go to Richard, he’ll take care of you. I have a Ford F250 (the bloody 6.0) that needed the dreaded EGR cooler, oil cooler, coolant filter, and turbo rebuild. Needless to say, the price was very reasonable, excellent service and the job was done right. BTW, it’s a great looking professional shop! But hey, who really cares? It’s the workmanship to me that is most important and C & M delivered.

Had a wheel alignment on my Ford F-​250 done at C & M. My truck is lifted and they were the only place in town that could do it. Customer service was great, shop is nice and clean and everyone is professional.
I had a problem with my steering box. It wasn’t reinstalled properly when the lift was installed. Vibration and torque eventually sheered off a couple of the mounting bolts. C & M was able to back out the bolts (even with lock tite on them) saving me having to install a new steering box.
Colleen from C & M called me a few days later to say thanks for my business. A nice touch.

Ok, these guys must work on commission.
Took my car in nearly a year ago, the vehicle inspection they gave yielded was seeping hoses, needed suspension work like tie rods and alignment, transmission leak, all at a cost of nearly $ 400.
I had them change the oil only.
Went back 9 months for an oil change, and they did their inspection, and everything came back ok.
I asked them everythings’ Okay?
What about the inspection you gave regarding suspension work ?
Everything looks fine he said. Looks fine now. Huh? …wow…magic.
Does this make anyone wonder about why 9 months ago, all this ‘extra’ work was required according to ‘their inspection of my vehicle’ ?
I had a close friend take her vehicle in and they gave her an inspection work order for $ 2200 and she took the car into another auto service company and none of that work was needed.
Makes you wonder about this company ‘selling services’
They really ought to stop this.

First time I’ve ever looked for a local mechanic through Unilocal. Being somewhat new in the area, I felt I had to go with Dealerships hoping for the trust factor. Well, my dealership couldn’t get my car in for about 4 days, so I figured this was the time to look. I jumped on Unilocal,and found C & M. and great ratings. I called them. they were able to get me in the same day, assess my problem, repair it, perform some regular maintenance (oil change) and get it back to me SAME day. Awesome service, EXCELLENT work, GREAT FACILITY. Pricing fair, even have coupons on their site. I will NOT be going back to the dealership anytime soon. Thank you Craig and team.

My car door would not close and or lock. I took my car to C&M Automotive and it was fixed by the very next day! The door worked fine and I also had the air conditioning serviced. Air conditioner working as we get into the hotter days ahead! Excellent service. I only trust my car to C&M Auto!

Very clean and quiet lobby. This place is tucked away on a small street and I wouldn’t have known about it except that I received a flyer with a coupon on it, which I redeemed. I waited in the lobby and used their wifi to kill time.
I just got a simple oil change, but when everything was done, the front desk person took a few minutes to explain a few things that I should be aware of on the car, and she asked a couple of questions about my car habits and gave suggestions. She was genuine in finding out more info and giving advice. Not expected, but it would have been nice if one of the service people who worked on the car actually did this. As the front desk person, she went above and beyond just handing me the bill though.
My bill included a printout of what was checked, what passed, and what items need attention.

Took in my son’s 1985 Mercedes for a brake check and oil change. The service was efficient and trustworthy — that’s why we use Craig and company for all our cars over the past 5 years since we had a bad experience (s) @ Monterey Auto down the street.
This time, instead of just shuttling me back home, I was in a jam and needed to attend a parent-​teacher conf @ my kids school. They loaned me a car for the day so I could goto the meeting then take it to work! Craig is nice & honest– and staffs folks like him (e.g. Service Manager Colleen is great).
Prices seem standard/​competitive — but my experience is they stand behind their work and will make it right if you are unhappy. E.g., There was a lot of other stuff that could have been replaced, but he gave his take on prioritizing what should be first — kind of like my doctor as I get older!
When the brakes checked out OK, they waived the inspection fee and let me use an oil change coupon I found on the web! They also staff a certified Mercedes mechanic who is good — important when figuring out issues with a 30 year old car designed by the sometimes a little too creative Mercedes engineers (don’t get me started!).
Finally — the system they use to record what was checked, fixed and recommended (long list for this car!) is invaluable and among the most complete I’ve seen.

Saturday Morning there’s always errands to run. So much to do but with a headlight out, it needed to be prioritized. As I walked in their office to ask if they «did that sort of thing», …and they did… I was treated nicely with a hot cup of tea and on my way, with a new headlight, within 30 minutes. I’ll be back.

You can never be really sure if your getting a straight deal with car guys, but this place seems legit. I’ve been a few times now for oil changes and other minor things. They seem to be honest and kind. You do wait a little longer in the lobby then they originally say, but it’s no big deal if you come prepared with work, a book or something. Prices for oil changes and simple work seem fair. It’s a little bit more expensive for bigger jobs (which I haven’t done yet), but maybe it’s because you get what you pay for. The lobby is clean, coffee/​water inside while you wait. Nice staff too. I will continue to use this place.

Awesome Service — I had to change my appointment to take my car in for brakes right before Christmas and they were very accommodating. Now that my car is out of warranty, I will be going to C&M for all my auto needs. Thanks Craig and Richard :-)

Service was prompt and as described. Came in without an appointment for a dead starter and they turned it around pretty quick for me. They even looked everything over and made some recommendations for future service. Will definitely be back.

First time there today for an alignment. C&M and the staff did an awesome job on my car and explain everything when the work was done. Would come back again for more work and recommend them to my friends. Great job guys!!!

The best car repair in town. They are fair and honest and the customer service is great. They were recommended to me by a friend whose family has been bringing their cars to Craig since before he opened his own shop.

I had a smog check on my van. I booked an appointment and was told it would take 45 min. At 30 min they told me my van failed and needed a new gas cap. A new part was sent over from the warehouse and I was on my way within one hour of my arrival. Fast, friendly, professional service! Also, a nice comfortable lobby and clean restrooms. I highly recommend C&M!

Ive been using this shop for several years and have never had a bad experience. I have taken at least 5 different vehicles (mine and family) and have always been treated fairly and with respect.
I have come to the point that if I am not the one fixing my vehicle, C&M is. I have had very bad experiences with several other local shops (both quality and customer service) and have come to trust all work done by this shop and will go out of my way to ensure they are the people performing any service or repair i am not able to.
