Local art classes — Monument School of Fine Arts: we’re a local small business with global appeal, and we offer top quality art instruction and events for children and adults. After school kids classes, weekend –and week night — adult painting workshops and outdoor scenic classes, too! Classes offered all year round, open enrollment.
History
Established in 1994.
Janet Sellers, our founder, started Monument School of Fine Arts to share her understanding and experience in the arts for the community. Her background in the arts includes public artworks in large and small cities, and extensive work in the field of art, environmental design, and in the entertainment industry both as editor and designer.
She was head teacher for a large teaching studio in Los Angeles area before relocating to Monument, Colorado, where she continues her painting and teaching as well as public art sculptures for Colorado cities,
MSFA is proud to have award-winning teachers, award-winning students, too. We started MSFA to offer local students and adults top-quality art instruction, art shows and more to enrich their lives and make some local family fun. We support local and national cultural events and sponsor many of them, including the National Junior Duck Stamp Design competition, annual art shows in local art venues, Valentines for Veterans and more.

Janet S.
Business Owner
Award-winning artist, Janet Sellers, shares her expertise in her art and with her students who also win top honors in art based on her classes. Born in an artist community, Janet has extensive experience with art, artists and venues. Educated in art at a number of museums in Japan and the U.S., as well as the prestigious Art Center College of Design, her work ranges in scope from teaching basic traditional art for homes and corporate offices to creating monumental murals (500′ long) and sculptures for cities and state venues and museums.
