The Paper Rabbit

The paper rabbit was the place I used to go to almost every other week when I was in elementary school getting things for my desk at school, desk at home and just thought it was the cutest place to go too. Going back now to the new location and as an adult and having things taken care of for this holiday season come across the manager or the owner don’t know exactly what she is, but I can tell you, she was the rudest and bitchiest person I have come across for a small business in Montrose. My mom also thought she was a real bitch, and it takes a lot to make that impression on her. She had blonde hair and a pink sweatshirt. We explained to her that there was a paint pen that we purchased, which I have to mention they sell it for twice the amount than at Aaron Brothers or any other craft store. When we went to tell her that the pen did not work properly and the girl in the front of the store, agreed as well, the girl was cut off by the manager explaining that it’s our fault since we didn’t use the pen properly not the pens fault. In a loud and condescending tone, and would not credit us back or exchange the pen for a new one. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!!

This review is a long time coming! I have been coming here for decades! Danielle is amazing! She always comes through for me. This is my go to store gifts and even just to shop. They always have great holiday items for my home too! My latest visit brought me in looking for a cake topper. I didn’t realize how hard it was to find a nice cake topper. Danielle solved my problem. My daughter ice skating cake came out perfect with this cake topper and she got a gift out of it too! Thank you Danielle and your wonderful staff for yet another life saver! Way LONG over due– Customer almost 20+ years– even through change of ownership years back and still LOVE it there. Actually More SO!
Moved the past 11 years or so haven’t had the opportunity to continue to shop until this past week.

I love the Paper Rabbit, I have been going to this store for 9 years for all of my supplies. I have attended so many parties here and I still walk into this store every once in a while, just to see how things are!
I am giving this place 4 stars for a reason. As for what the previous reviews has said, the staff can be a little rude. I agree. However, this is such a great store. I think that they need to make a little adjustment, which is an easy fix.
I still recommend coming into this store, its super cute and I will never stop coming here.

The Paper Rabbit is my go to for buying memorable gifts for my nieces/​nephews and loved ones. They have a huge variety of items you can choose to buy for whoever you want (baby, boyfriend, teachers, etc) and the artists are really good at decorating! I definitely tell all my friends and family about this place because everyone always loves the gifts I get from here! Thanks for being awesome :)

I LOVE this shop! It is my go to place for nice personalized birthday gifts. The staff are all very laid-​back and allow plenty of time to look around without making one feel pressured or rushed along.
The pieces can quickly add up to be an expensive gift so we save these for the people with care about most and are closest with.

I went today and I got a rude may I help you. The ladies were eating lunch and they really couldn’t be bothered with me.
Nothing exciting about this store but it was this feeling that I was being watched by four pairs if eyes. Since it didn’t feel welcome to browse I left quickly.
There usual craft equipment to personalize your stuff but I will be going to another store.

I’ve been a fan of Paper Rabbit for years. Lots if cute hand-​lettered gift ideas for everyone but particularly school-​aged kids (up to High School).
There’s a lot to say about this place but I just mention a few.
Their letter school items (binders, pencil boxes, etc.) make great gifts for kids who live out of the LA area. They’ll have something unique at their school!
Lettering classes! Whether it’s a one-​on-​one lesson or a group your artist son or daughter will love this.
If you’re ordering one of their hand-​lettered items around a major event (graduation, start of school, Christmas) order early! Avoid the rush and get your item in time.
They do special projects. I’ve seen stools, chairs, and stepping stools all nicely decorated.
I’ve always had great service and experiences here. Danielle and all the girls do a great job.

What a wonderful place. I have always known about this place, but never went in. I needed a name painted on a bucket and went in. The ladies that run the place were real sweeties, gave me great ideas and the price was really reasonable. They had it done in a few hours and it was awesome. I will definitely be back.

Pretty cool stationary store. They have a good variety of invitations and can print them for you for a fee. Love their stickers, pens, paints, all that jazz. What I don’t like is their staff. Usually kids work there or sometimes older ladies that totally ignore you because they’re getting crafty. If it’s for a customer, I understand but you have other customers too yanno! Maybe they need a number ticket system because I usually just give up. Also, almost nothing is ever on sale.

This place is getting 2 stars solely based on the fact that the people who work here are rude.
I went in for the first time about a year ago on a busy Saturday. I thought the place was so cute and wanted to buy some things but couldn’t get a single person to help me. It was a busy day so I just brushed it off and decided to give them another chance in the future.
So, this past week, my husband and I went in a weekend. No one was in the store except for the owner and 2 employees. Not a single «Hello», «can I help you?», smile or anything. The stuff is cute but there is NO WAY I would ever buy from a store with rude customer service. It’s really not that hard to say hello.

This is the Best little stationary store i have ever found or have ever been too! i have literally went to this store all the years my daughters were growing up in junior and high school because this store has it ALL when it comes to every kind of paper supply. They carry SO many stickers, cards, gifts, paper and bulk supplies at a discount and they will engrave things and gifts that you buy from them which is really great. I bought my daughters both pencil and color box cases and the owner Danielle had one of her sales girl’s engrave them both and they do an amazing job. Paper Rabbit also carries beautiful Christmas supplies and ornaments that are so unique and different that i bought to decorate my home which i never found in any retail store. Everyone that works there is really friendly and courteous and they all help you with everything you are looking for.

Cute shop with awesome little finds and stationary.. . when I lived closer to this area, my mom, sis and I used to shop here all the time.

This place is so fuhreakin cute! It makes me wish I had a daughter already haha. All the stickers and glitter makes me feel so girly (which I’m really not.) I also really like that they host parties, so adorable it makes me squeal. The owner (?) is very sweet and patient, she reminds me of most the people in the Montrose =)

something positive happened when the store moved…
i was in the area and had some time to kill so i decided to check out the new location and Natalie was working.
she has worked there for quite some time off and on and knew some of the girls that i knew that used to work there.
the store looked great, everyone was happy and super friendly and i made a purchase.
this is a speciality gift store and you will find unique items that you cant find anywhere else as great gifts for kids.
as a new mom of two i am pressed for time and have since placed a few phone orders and it was has been easy-peasy…and guess what?
they even wrap now with no issue what so ever.
i am so glad things turned around because i really LOVE this store as it has become a landmark to the area.

Danielle, the owner is amazing. I do not know how she does it some times. She is always busy and has something to do yet makes time for every customer and their questions or concerns. For years the Paper Rabbit has employed teens in the community allowing for us all to have a job! Not only does Danielle have the best sticker wall she participates in community events all year round. The pink Paper Rabbit car can be seen driving around town and we all know exactly who it is!!! Thank you Dede for always keeping the store clean and organized, its a paradise for anyone who is creative and I tell everyone about it!!! Cutest store around!!!

I really love Paper Rabbit. Perfect place to get awesome personalized items like school supplies, frames and other cool stuff. They also host birthday parties where you can learn cool decorating stuff. The staff is darling. They are always really nice.
This store is really for anyone. Child, Teen, Adult… anyone. You will love it.

I love Paper Rabbit. The majority of their services is dedicated to cute, personalized (hand crafted) items such as frames, buckets, and school supplies. They also have birthday parties where you can learn the craft of paint pens as well. Super cute place with a friendly staff as well.
This store is great for children as well as adults. You can also get custom invitations, balloons, and the selection of stickers is awesome.
