I have a eneral trial practice of 34 years in personal injury, truck & car 7 motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, serious personal injury, criminal felony & misdemeanor defense in Alabama city, state & federal trial and appellate courts, child support, custody, visitation & defense of divorce complaints.

Also, I file wills in probate court and file for administration of estates without wills in probate court to lawfully obtain the transfer to heirs of assets such as land, oil, gas & mineral interests & royalties.

I handle land cases such as boundary line disputes, petition for division, and petitions to determine the ownership of disputed property.

I handle family law matters such as obtaining child visitation, the determination of child support, and child custody. I will defend a client in a divorce action who desparately needs help.

History

Established in 1978.

I have been practicing law in state and federal courts in Alabama since March 1977. I have been in practice for over 34 years. I have practiced with my brother, James R. Cooper, Jr., since January 1979. We are located in historic, downtown Montgomery, Alabama, the State Capitol and the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement. Our office is conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 65 & 85.

Graduated from Marietta High School, Marietta, Ohio in 1969. Graduated from the University of Mississippi (Olé Miss) with a BA in Biology & Chemistry in 1973. Graduated from Jones Law School with a J.D. in 1976.
