History

Established in 2010.

The Monebello location of Selva Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts was founded in 2010 when the head instructor, Jason Selva moved to the Montebello area.

Seeing the positive impact the Alhambra school had on the community, he knew that opening up a location in Montebello was a no brainer.

Head Coach Jason Selva is World Class Black Belt and Master Instructor at Selva BJJ. He has over 13 years of competive brazilian jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts experience. BEWARE of Schools Who Are Not Run by «Real» Black Belts!

In 2009 Qualified for the ADCC championships with is the equivalent the Olympics for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. At this tournament he set a world record which has yet to be beat by winning the enitre tournament and submitting all of his opponents in under 3 minutes!
