Starting has a kid enjoing colors and shapes i was on the oil painting designs and after working on a ceramic place on long beach, going to europe to have more ideas and inspiration i deside to open a studio that has been growing every day with more and more happy customers including a few hoollywood movie actors, main stores on Catalina island, very good named companies, arquitects and designers .You are welcome to visit us to show you how we combine all process and new ideas to create a very nice work on Hand painted tiles!

Jeojessi tiles are beautiful. The tiles have incised designs giving them a lovely 3D texture. In the showroom in San Pedro, you can see every step of the tile process and custom order your own design. Over the years, I have collected various pieces to accent my Spanish themed home. They complement that style perfectly.

Jeojessi is a small shop in San Pedro that makes hand-​painted tiles. The business is run by the family of Juan Aguirre, who has studied tile painting in Spain, Italy and Mexico — his wife is the principal artist.
At a cost of about $ 65 per square foot, Juan will copy or create any design you wish on tiles baked in Italy, and produce it for you in a variety of styles — traditional European faïence, Mexican majolica or the style made famous in the former pottery factories of Santa Catalina Island. The later is very much in the «Arts and Crafts» tradition and goes perfectly with houses built in the 1910−1920s.
I happen to be a pottery freak and my home is loaded with the best I have been able to find around the world. Juan Aguirre’s work is worthy of appearing in my or any collection. A really good find in a business where schlock art and under baked tiles are the norm.
