I am writing this review to support others that have had poor service and poor communication. Bottom line is I spoke to Craig directly about a repair that still left my parents garage door inoperable. He said he had a job in Venice Beach but would come over after he finished which he thought would be around noon. Noon came and no Craig or phone call. I called him at 1:45pm, then 3:20pm. No answer or call back. I called the office at 3:50 twice and left messages with no response. The next day Craig leaves a message that he’s 15 min from the house. No prior phone call or scheduled appointment. Of course no one was home. After spending $ 165 for Craig to replace the plastic traveler, I wound up fixing the more major problem myself which was a broken sleeve/​clip between the screw drive segments. I called their office only to be directed to the office manager. She said she would look into it and get back to me before noon. I’m still waiting

I called two other places before deciding on Caliber to install 3 garage doors for my new house project in Fountain Valley. Leo and his team were superior. Arrived on time, professionally installed the doors. Fixed what I asked. Overall, im satisfied with the work they did and the prices.

As the board of director treasurer of a 300 unit complex Irvine, I cannot emphasize enough the positive experience we had with Caliber Garage Doors. The director of sales and marketing Leo Marin attended a board meeting where we interviewed 2 other companies for our garage door replacement project. The representation that Caliber Garage Doors delivered was very thorough and impressive. The board of directors decided to award Caliber Garage Doors the contract. I would highly recommend Caliber Garage Doors for all of your garage door needs.

I needed a garage door opener installed. Called Caliber and they gave me a lot of information over the phone. I made my decision and they showed up to install it the same day. Installation was clean and the opener works great.

These guys never showed up

My husband and I are in need of new gates, fencing, and a garage window at our home. Naturally we went to Unilocal to see what was out there, and up pops Caliber. After reading the mostly 5 star reviews and looking at their portfolio, we knew we had to at least get a quote. Leo gave me a call and was super friendly, said he could do everything we wanted, and we set up an appointment for a Saturday. He came by along with a colleague to take a look and said he would provide a quote early the following week. He even sent a follow-​up email that same day asking for photo examples of what we’d like, which I quickly sent his way.
I checked in the following Tuesday, Leo said he’d have something on Thursday. Checked in late Thursday, he said he needed one more day. Still, there was nothing over the weekend. I checked in Sunday (hoping he’d see it Monday) — nothing. Checked in Tuesday — nothing. Finally I sent a «last call» email on Thursday. He finally replies with:
«Unfortunately Caliber will not be providing a bid. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.»
Inconvenienced is definitely the right word. This was the last quote we were waiting for before making our decision. If he did not want to /​could not do the work, he should have just said so in the beginning instead of leading us for 2 weeks to believe we’d get a quote.
Pretty sure when you have potential clients who are looking to spend thousands of dollars on a home project, this isn’t the way to treat them or their time.

Our property in west palmas in Irvine needed the garage door to be replaced and Leo came quickly and did a great job replacing it and all is working well. He’s a very professional guy.

Would like to give a shoutout to Craig Paskiewichz for the outstanding service of the installation of my garage door. He explained everything thoroughly and had a great vibe about him overall. I originally ordered the door from home depot, and it came without what I thought was supposed to come with the garage door handle. Caliber went above and beyond to give me the handle after talking with Bill:) Kay btw wasn’t that helpful:(Thank You! Will def get a door directly through Caliber next time!

They stand by their service. I called them after a year because the spring broke. I call them to find out why and would they fixed or replace the spring They sent out a service technician and he was able to evaluate it properly. The first installer did not put the right spring on. Caliber told me that it is good for 5 years. This is service and we were glad to have caliber come out again. Mistakes do happen. Thank you

It was a pleasure to deal with Caliber Garage Door. I was looking for expensive garage door. Called many companies and none of them could provide appropriate price, until I contact the Caliber. The sales representative Leo Marin provided me with the door, I was looking for, at acceptable price. I recommend to contact Leo before you buy garage door somewhere else.

A father and son team came on time to fix my garage one Saturday. The work didn’t take long at all, and they even did some adjustments to fix the dangling garage chain. Garage fixed and a little quieter too, so I’m a happy customer.

These guy were on time and finished with replacement of my springs in 20 minutes. Unbelievable. It only cost 195.00

Great experience with this company! Very punctual and friendly. Craig did a great job assessing situation and fixed it within minutes. He didn’t try to make a sale, he came to do exactly what was needed. I requested bid for the future. Will use again and highly recommend.

My experience was a little different than all the others on here, like some I did have my own opener purchased from Costco, needed a door and a few things changed, called based on reviews, got a fast response from Henry came out within the hour and gave me a great price on new door, weather stripping and installing my opener, set up install time for two days from that date within a two hour window.
Fast forward to install date, technician showed up early in window, took a look at my opener and proceeded to tell me it was to hard to install this one since he had done one for his neighbor and it was an all day adventure, suggested a few of their brands or picking up a new one from Home depot but not a genie. I inquired about how much more to install the opener I already had since it was «hard to install» and he replied with a round about answer of easier if I got something else, I said never mind will just call another company and went in the house to make calls when I came out a few minutes later he was still there telling me it would take a few hours to install the door. informed him I could not use the door without the opener and he left somewhat agitated over the fact I wasted his time.
After he left I went to Home depot picked up a new basic door came Home and did everything myself in a little under three hours, the thanks I give is for saving me a lot of money and letting me know even at my somewhat advanced age, lol I can still get stuff done myself.
Henry did call me two days later to see if I had purchased a new opener and to reschedule the job, so follow up at least was a good thing.

This is what Unilocal is all about! Helping me find a local professional when I have no clue who to trust. Based on all the great reviews for Caliber, and the so-​so reviews for other garage door service companies in the area, I went with Caliber and had an awesome experience.
When I first called, they said they could try to make it out same day, even though it was about 2pm. My fix wasn’t that urgent, so I set an appointment for 2 days later that worked better with my schedule. The woman on the phone was quick and polite and as with everyone else’s reviews, quoted me $ 185 to replace the two tension springs on a roll up two car garage door without insulation. I looked around and found the parts as cheap as $ 60 for the pair, but I would have also had to buy some steel rod to make tools out of, wait for shipping, and with never winding a set of garage springs before, it was well worth the extra $ 100 to have the professionals do it.
On the day of the appointment the service guys, a father and son team, showed up 10 minutes early and spent no longer than 20 minutes at my house. They de-​tensioned the spring that hadn’t broken, put on the new springs and tensioned them, and fixed the cables that came loose.
I was extremely happy with the quick service and the great job they did. After seeing a bunch of YouTube videos of amateurs showing you how to do this job, I think it would have taken me 2 hours to do the same job that they did in 20.

Salesman, Henry and installers Jose & Sal did a wonderful job on my custom designed mahogany garage door. I didn’t want to pick one out of a book and designed it to go with the windows in my house. They made a beautiful! door and got it installed before my deadline. A pleasure to deal with. Absolutely no problems. Highly recommended. Also Henry can really solve location and technology problems. I was really impressed by him. Other companies, not so much.
The door was around $ 3600. It is a single door but made of mahogany with custom windows. I did not get an automatic door opener.
IMPORTANT!:
If you are going to stain/​paint your own door, I would recommend having them deliver it a few days early so you can do it BEFORE it is installed. Otherwise, it’s very difficult to work around the hardware and flashing.
