In 1985, Robert ‘Rob’ Collins became president of CBI. Rob immediately looked to expand the company into a full service general contracting service provider. One of the first areas of expansion was to begin working with Homeowners Associations and Property Managers on single and multi-​unit residential projects. Today CBI is considered to be one of the première construction service providers in Southern California.
