I went in for the first time and Kelly helped me. I got a full set gel manicure and I absolutely love my nails! Perfection!

Honestly I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Henry repaired my nails and made them look extremely healthy again! He’s so gentle when he’s working with your nails, I loved it. Kathy is the owner of the salon and she was the one that actually painted my nails and she is such a doll. She’s so nice and makes sure everything is perfect before you pay. They don’t rush at all and they use top quality nail powder and they even have drops to put on your nails to make them dry faster! I have never seen it anywhere else and it works great and my nails look amazing. Kathy spares no expense to get top quality supplies for her customers. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this nail salon. They will also repair any damage to your nails within the first week of getting them done for FREE!

My go to nail salon. It’s clean, and it doesn’t have that heavy acetone smell. I hate it when other nail salons have nail dust over their machines or tool caddy. At Peridot I have never seen the nail dust so I have been coming here since they opened a couple of years ago. I also like that they have a large selection of branded nail polish and lots of choices. Service is always attentive. They even provide you with water or tea!

I have been coming to this nail salon for YEARS. The customer service is superb and I feel wonderful & relaxed while I enjoy some «me time». I have LITERALLY had every technician who works there and they each make my experience so pleasurable. Everyone is so sweet and talented.
The location is very clean, organized, and nicely decorated. They have a wonderful collection of nail colors and current trends. I have been to many nail locations in Monrovia and Peridot is hands down the best. I recommend all my friends to Peridot!

Go to Mary or Henry they do a great job with mani & acylics!

I hate to leave bad reviews but this is my Gel nail polish after one week only. I have no clue why this happened, but it’s very disappointing I wanted to love this salon.

I came in on a whim and I’m so glad I did. I got Henry, who did my nails perfectly, the shape, thickness and length were all perfect. I have gone back three more times now, for fills and once to remove tips and do an overlay and in all this time NOTHING HAS LIFTED. Henry is truly the Nail Master!

Great Nail Salon!
I’ve been coming here for several months now and I can’t really say anything bad. I’m always greeted nicely with one of the lovely ladies at the front desk. Whether its the owner herself or one of the nice staff members.
The place is always clean and all the techs are friendly and very accommodating. They have a very good selection of colors in both regular and GEL. Their GEL collection is the best I’ve seen yet. All there spa chairs work and are functional. (I’ve been to several places where they don’t massage or the heater option doesn’t work and they just leave it) Manicure/​Pedicures are always enjoyed!
You can tell this place has class, and owner does a great job at it! Thanks Peridot Nails & Spa. See you soon!

My favorite nail place so far! Everybody was really nice and friendly! I had trouble deciding on my color, and staffs were really helpful! Always an enjoyable experience definitely recommended for others

I’ve been eyeing this place for some time. Of course, because it’s pricier than average, I held off.
I had a 50^th birthday surprise party to attend and I wanted amazing looking gel nails w/​design. I searched all local nail places and looked through their posted pics from Unilocal and read reviews. I decided to finally try peridot.
They get three stars because YES they are very thorough with their pedicure and manicure. I felt they couldn’t have done a better job with that part.
Why they lacked the two stars… there is a definite language barrier. Which makes it tough to communicate. Usually I don’t mind, but have to mention that for those that mind.
But the real fail was when I told my nail tech, Michelle, that I wanted exactly what was on the picture I pulled from Unilocal.I told her it’s totally okay if you can’t do it, I only want it if you think you can do it exactly like this pic. She said, yea no problem I can do that. She came back with only one nail color. I told her, where is the white? She says, there’s white? I told her look at the pic again please. Seriously if you can’t do it, it’s completely ok and I’ll get all one color. She said no, I just hadn’t noticed the white nail. Okay fine. She did my nails in close to colors, including the white nail with glitter. No, they didn’t look like the exact colors but they were ok. The BAD part was the glitter confetti triangular adornments shown in the pic. I told her do you have these? She said yes. Well since I was getting a pedi at the same time, I got distracted. She ended up drawing triangles with white nail polish!!! Needless to say, I hated my nails and everyone at the party asked me what was up with my nail design. I shouldn’t have taken a chance on Peridot. I really thought they’d know what they were doing and I really wish they did. So pedi & gel mani, $ 69. My pedi was off the hook. But my embarrassing nails– not worth it :-(
Also, on their pamphlet is shows hot stone. Well they don’t even have it.
I even attempted to send some communication via their «contact us» section on their web page. 1 week, no answer. All they needed to do was fix the two nails with these ridiculous white polish triangles, but that’s not happening.
Not impressed. Not happy. Won’t go back :-(
I wish it had just worked out, but I have to be honest here and say that they try, but based off price and skill with specialty designs, at least my tech Michelle, didn’t cut it.

I tried to come here on Friday before Halloween they had a blackout which would be fine but they kept trying to sell just a mani when I wanted gel. Why would I come back for the polish… We all know that won’t happened, they were kind of pushy and I don’t like it when they talk in their own language,

came here a month ago and was satisfied with my pedicure service thru Lin. a bit pricey but worth da price… they always use new tools and clean after each client. After two weeks I came back for mani/​pedi and Michelle and Stephanie did a great job ! So after my mani/​pedi today, I told myself to finally write my review. Plenty of nail polish to choose from OPI, Essie, China glaze etc. Hope this helps. Good job girls

Professional and creative. Love Hana. She’s very precise and careful. My nails are perfect for tonight’s event.

And another year has passed and I continue to get my nails done at Peridot Nails.
The service and is top notch and most importantly, it is clean!
I love the change in decorations (depending on the seasons) and appreciate Kathy’s (the owner) passion for the latest nail trends.
Water and tea are always available for customers. Sometimes we even get baked goodies around the holiday season.
Nancy and Kim are my girls and always make me feel welcomed. Stephanie is really sweet and polite.

This is the BEST experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The staff is amazing and friendly. The shop is clean, open and bright and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
The technicians did my mani pedi so well and took their time and were very attentive. The receptionist was so sweet and helped me pick out my colors. The owners even came over to chat during my service and even after I paid.
This nail salon is so well managed and focuses on quality and experience. Worth every cent I spent here today and I will keep coming back

Decided to try out this side of the 626 nail salons… man…
I rolled in at 340pm, and the receptionist greeted me and assigned Vicky to me, who did my did my Gel manicure. Sweet gal — but inexperience when working with me. Originally, I brought in a photo wanting to mimic the vampire fangs with 3D bloody splatter on the other nails, but that didn’t work since my nails were told they were too short and the fangs looked horrible and so I opted for something else. –1 star off.
When Vicky was cutting my cuticles — she kept looking over my shoulders for someone or something and got distracted and was cutting it fast and ended up nipping my middle finger –_​– (see picture) it bled and later crusted up, but thank god it didnt hurt too much. She was profusely apologetic and poured a lot of antispetic on it to make sure it didnt get infected, but after that, she was nervous throughout the whole time in doing my nails. –2 Stars
After her failed attempt to do fangs, I decided to do black gel with red glitter gel and a white spider with a red gemstone on it. She ended up having Cathy — the owner do it. Obviously, Cathy was annoyed in having to do it for me and was showing Vicky how to do it.
As for the paint job, Vicky didn’t do too much of a good job. In between coats, I’ve noticed the sides of both of my fingers weren’t covered throughly and my right hand looked sloppier as compared to my left hand. Once I got home and washed my hands, it became even clearer how much paint was left off on the sides.
Granted, this was done for Halloween and so I’ll consider it to be sloppy and tattered, but if this was for a nicer occasion, I wouldve been even more pissed at wasting $ 38.00.
After, I paid and was getting ready to leave, I heard Cathy say to Vicky «Did you remember to charge her $ 8 for the design?» Really??? She had mentioned to another Unilocaled who had posted a negative review on rude customer service on here — that she tells her staff not to talk in Vietnamese to each other in front of the customer and she just did it while I was getting ready to leave. At least wait until I’m out of earshot or out the door. I read Vicky face when Cathy approached her. –3 Stars off.
Overall, from afar, the manicure looks pretty decent, but up close, it’s really disappointing. I can’t really stop staring at the bad side paint job and nipped cuticle. It was a nice place to try, but once is good enough.
