Voice lessons with Danielle center on developing a healthy vocal technique based around science and a physiological understanding of the voice. Danielle’s students learn classical vocal technique, which they then adapt and apply to their favorite styles of singing including pop, rock, indie, musical theater, and opera. Lessons cover technique, vocal health, skills to improve intonation, music theory, sight-singing, songwriting, audition skills, practice tips, stage etiquette, expressiveness, developing stage presence, and more.
Piano lessons are designed with the beginner and intermediate student in mind, aiming to foster independent reading skills and helping students develop a passion for classical repertoire, as well translating their favorite songs to the piano. Lessons cover music theory, musicianship, sight-reading, performance practice, music history, piano for rock & pop, and motivation techniques.
Combination voice and piano lessons are offered for students hoping to improve both skills.
History
Established in 2008.
Danielle Palomares holds a Master of Music degree from UCLA and a Bachelor of Music from UC Irvine. Danielle’s passion for teaching took shape in 2008, after she worked as an outreach scholar/teacher with UC Irvine’s Creative Connections program, which brings art and music education into schools that would otherwise be unable to fund such programs. Ms. Palomares has worked both as a primary instructor and as a substitute teacher for several studios throughout Orange County, eventually working with an average of 40 students per week privately, organizing recitals for her students, and furthering her performance career as an operatic soprano.
While attending UCLA from 2012 – 2014, she taught dozens of UCLA students both privately and as a formal teaching assistant with the university. With years of experience and a passion for working with students of all ages and backgrounds, Danielle has moved back to her hometown of Monrovia, CA where she teaches in-home and in-studio lessons.
