Business Owner

Dr. Sang K. Lee offers more than 10 years of experience and a full set of credentials to back his medical practices. He is clinic leading acupuncturist, bringing the ancient wisdom of this sage practice to work alongside other healing modalities in optimizing client health & well being.

State licensed and board certified by the California Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, he completed his Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine with a clinical internship at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, and an externship at the Arthur Ashe Health and Wellness Center, UCLA. Dr. Lee also has a doctorate degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University. He has done externship at prestigious Oriental Medical Hosipital at Kyung Hee University hospital at Seoul, South Korea. He has extensively trained in both Chinese and Korean styles of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Tuina massage.

I was glad to find a good acupuncturist near home. Actually the only reason for 4 stars is their hours of operation. I find it very difficult to get in during the times they have.
Beyond that the Dr. s are very good. They take the time to work with you and understand your needs. I feel after several treatments my circulation has improved. They don’t try to sell you any extras. Now that I a have ben going for a while Dr. Park recommended a blend of herbs, which I feel really do work for me.
I recommend giving them a try. As long as you can fit in their schedule you should do well.

I’m so glad to write this post. I never thought I would try acupuncture. For one needles scare me. Second I’m not fond of having to stay still. Dr. Lee and Dr. Park make it easy.
They took their time to asses me and worked me through my challenges.
Super comfortable and zero pain.

I’m 30 yrs old. I have been dealing with chronic pain for at least 4 yrs. Dr. Lee in collaboration with Dr. Park have been exceptional at what they do. I love the teamwork. I have been to other acupuncturists, none quite like this pair of professionals who know what they’re doing. I can honestly say that my pain has decreased by at least 75%.
I have learned more about my body through them than I have ever know dealing with regular doctors who have performed every possible test (ct scan, MRI, x Ray, and ultrasound) I feel very in sync with my body’s overall functionality. Still got some work to do but it had been postponed due to recent news!!!
Recently Dr. Lee started me on his infertility plan. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for 10 years. So much frustration and devastation. We tried chlomid with IUI, we have tried uterine massage, we have been told that we are both normal and Dr’s couldn’t figure out the cause of our infertility. We had given up right before I stumbled upon Balance and Harmony Acupuncture for my pain. Dr. Lee was giving me heat treatment in conjunction with acupuncture, and natural liquid form herbs, disgusting and pricey, but way worth the little bundle of joy expected January 3, 2017! hooray! I just found out 3 days ago that I’m pregnant! Still in shock! I can’t believe it! The answer was lying in Monrovia the whole time. We are so blessed for Dr. Lee and Dr. Park. Definitely life changing. I would strongly recommend them to anyone. They accept PPO insurances, which is awesome! It is definitely a positive environment so stay positive and enjoy.

Best in everything. I’ve had acupuncture twice before in my life so I can compare. Ambiance is soothing. Dr. Lee is awesome. He is one smart, calm guy. I trust him with my health. I can tell he knows what he is doing. I’ve been going every week for a while now and I am feeling good for the first time in a long time. Not just relief from pain and symptoms but health and energy. I wasn’t expecting that.

I came here for treatment for a couple months, I gotta say, the service was great. I saw Dr Lee for most of my treatments but also Dr Park. Both were great and they tune in to what’s happening to your body intuitively. Just when I was starting to feel the treatments working, they raised their prices and changed their payment plans, so the main affordable package (10 sessions) can no longer be broken up into separate payments… You can now only do this if you buy a bigger package., this was pretty disappointing considering it was perfectly priced to be affordable and convenient for the average person’s income. I called and expressed this to the doc on the phone and that the treatments were REALLY working… the response was simply, «call us back when you’re ready.» I felt like the connection I made with the Doc just vanished in that moment…
I highly doubt I’ll come back here, I’ve already found some other places that have better pricing for similar service. Sad because I got 2 other people to buy the groupon for this place and it feels like they didn’t try to work with me at all even after I referred other people (doctors offices usually have the attitude of «the best way to show gratitude is by referral).

Before stepping into this place and paying the $ 100 initial consultation/​treatment, call your healthcare insurance to see if treatment is covered AND within network. If Balance and Harmony is «out of network,» you’ll be expected to pay about $ 70 per session. They have you sign an agreement on your first visit when you pay $ 100, even before checking to see if your healthcare covers the ongoing treatment. If it doesn’t and you can’t afford the $ 70/​session moving forward, you just lost $ 100 … they won’t refund you. It’s a gamble coming here, unless you call your health insurance first. Best advice I can give is call your healthcare insurance and make sure you’re covered AND within network before coming to this place.

Dr. Lee and Dr. Jeong really know their stuff. They have helped me overcome lower back pain, sciatica pain, upper back pain, pinched nerves. They have relieved my menopause symptoms, headaches, hot flashes, etc. Very good practitioners and staff. Kelsie in the front office is a wealth of information and makes you feel very at ease. I highly recommend this office for what ever ails you! They will make you feel better.

Eastern medicine!!! Had health problems especially allergies and constant sinus problems. Was constantly on antibiotics but after one month with dr jeung, My sinuse were completely better and allergies almost disappeared. They looked for the cause instead of just medicating my symptoms. So great!!! Dr Jung has moved to another business. He was the reason for the great review..

Love this place. I’m in the medical field I’ve always been so into western medicine can fix anything. Basically there is a pill for every symptom. I lately have been having hormonal changes and hotflashes headache neck pain anxiety. I’m 29 too young for menaupause lol. So I found this place on groupon so I called. The doctor answered the phone to my surprised and said I can pay them the groupon price instead. He even verified my insurance and called me bk but unfortunately I didn’t know my mom cancelled it so I’m paying out of pocket. I went in last Thursday not knowing what to expect. Kelsie is so sweet and nice and helpful. I filled out the paperwork and checked off my symptoms. I went in for my treatment and the dr was so nice and explained things. He didn’t pressure me to buy any herbs either. He basically said my left side which is the blood flow side I had bad blood and it’s stagnant. So the treatment with the needles didn’t hurt at all. When I went home I’m not gonna lie I felt like crap. My headache moved from my neck to my temples I was having hotflashes and very uncomfortable. So I decided to run the rosebowl to calm down. For some reason when I did my run it was a lot easier and I felt like my circulation was improving. I got a good night sleep and ever since I have felt back to my normal self if not better. Whatever the doctor did must have moved things around internally or energy wise and I am so thankful. I have 2 more sessions and look forward to them. I’m glad I don’t need pills to fix my problems anymore and that I can cleanse my system naturally. I highly recommend this place.

I have been coming here for 5 months. Dr. Jeong and Dr. Lee have really helped me with my alopecia. My hair was falling out by the handful’s. I have been going to a dermatologist for over a year, getting scalp injections for my hair loss and nothing worked. When a I came to Balance and Harmony everything changed. I came twice a week for treatments for about 2 months and my hair stopped falling out and started growing back in within a couple of weeks. Also, I take the herbs they recommend. The treatments have really helped with the knots in my back from stress.
Kelsey, the receptionist is always very helpful and friendly. I’m so glad I found Balance and Harmony.

Juicy acupuncture duo
I found this place thru groupon and didn’t think much of it since they offered it at a great low rate. I got it mainly for my mom but I decided to just get one for myself anyway. However, I was very surprised that acupuncture really does work. I have gone before at other places and I stopped going because I felt like it didn’t work so I stopped seeing any acupuncture.
This place is welcoming and professional. The front desk Kelsie is very sweet and beautiful and has a lot of knowledge. The 2 doctors alternate and they both are very good and really try to help you with your problems. I really like it that they explain everything and to try to improve your overall health and to let you know why some things are happening.
I really recommend this place, it has helped me and my mom tremendously. We started with a groupon and ended up buying their package. My mom really felt an improvement with her back and her feet is still a work in progress caused by diabetes. My neck and shoulder and back pain has improved 90% and I only went 3x. I am now a loyal believer of the 2 doctors here who are really knowledgeable and who are really trying to help people live a more comfortable life.
Coming here has been really good for me and my mom and I definitely will recommend these 2 doctors and acupuncture for people who are in pain. The needles don’t hurt for the most part but there’s times there is a 5 second pain on some areas. It really works and for someone who’s tried all kinds of treatment to cure my neck and back pain I really recommend this place to help cure it.

Dr. Lee is great. He does a good job at explaining how acupuncture works and what treatments he will use to address your specific issue. The service upfront (hooray Kelsie!) is fantastic as well. The environment is warm and friendly, so even if you’re not looking forward to treatments (ouch!), they make you feel very comfortable.
As far as acupuncture goes, it gets better over time. You can’t go once and think it’s going to solve everything overnight. Sustained treatments have helped relieve my lower back pain. I recommend going!

I bought a groupon deal which was a steal. Initial consultation and 3 treatments for about $ 60. I have been looking for alternative medicine and wanted to shy away from popping pills to «fix» the issue. It is very easy to get an appt unlike other places I’ve tried. I came in for the consultation and Dr. Jeong seemed really nice. He began checking my pulse and can sense something is wrong. It was so weird yet cool that he was able to detect what was wrong with my body. The atmosphere was really relaxing. The needles didn’t bother me and it was quite soothing listening to music and falling asleep. The next visit Dr Jeong was very accommodating. With my work schedule and coming from North Hollywood was far so he opened up a later appt for me. I was was really appreciative of that. Tomorrow will be my fourth session, and so far it seems like I can handle stress better at work and feel much better about myself. I came for a specific problem and I’ll update later on how that is going.

I started going to accupuncture last September ’12 for headaches and digestive issues. 5 months later, I could say that my headaches have completely gone away and so are my digestive issues. Office is small and clean. The doctors are professional and listen to your problems attentively. I always look forward to my session because I just feel so relaxed afterwards.

Because I suffer fron chronic back pain I needed to do something that wasn’t going to involve prescription pills. I decided to try acupuncture and I must say that it has changed the way I look at needles! Dr. Jeung and Dr. Lee really know their stuff. When you first meet them they are very approachable and kind and truly want to take care of your problem. The best part is that they take insurance if you are so lucky to have a plan that accepts this procedure. I would recommend them highly. My pain isn’t as consistant and they have also helped me in other areas that has to do with the well being of my health. So I say «go check them out!» You’ll leave there feeling brand new!
