Moving is a stressful experience, no doubt about that. One have to take care of many things and this sometimes have to be done in the same time, which is difficult to do. Anyway i want to say i liked the service i got from this company, and the fast response they gave, for me fast communication is half of the good service, the rest went well as well, they came on time and didn’t waste time moving the stuff we asked them to move and the overall experience was very good.

RJ Burton Relocation Services did an excellent job moving our family across the country, I really can’t recommend them enough. We have several fragile and valuable artifacts that I was really nervous about moving but Richard with RJ Burton’s took the time and care to crate all of my art pieces and carefully packed the rest of my belongings. When the truck arrived in our new home and we started unpacking, not a single piece of mine was broken or damaged. It all arrived perfectly! Richard was a pleasure to work with and all of RJ’s employee’s were friendly and very helpful. They arrived on time, ready to work and stayed until the job was done. We had a great experience and i highly recommend RJ Burton for your moving needs!

Late review — for May. We were remodeling and had to move the contents of our study, kitchen, dining room, living room and entertainment room into the garage and some upstairs to other rooms. We had to be done by Monday morning for the remodel to start on time. I called on Tuesday because we hadn’t made as much progress on our own as we’d hoped. Since they already had other moves scheduled for that weekend, they had a 4 hr window available on Saturday. I did a walk through(on the phone) and listed all the appliances, furniture, etc. room by room. They calculated the weight and gave me an estimate on the phone. Normally if I’d had time, I’d have them come by. But we really needed someone that weekend, and the cost seemed reasonable for 4 hrs of work. We have also moved often enough to know a fair price. Also, our friends had recommended this company as «fair» in pricing and conscientious in work. Two large guys showed up with a truck, packing materials and dish packs right on time and started right away. No breaks, no wasteful chitchat. They asked where each item would go, divided the garage by room so it would be kitchen items accessible first. They had to unscrew the fridge doors to make it fit and re-screwed them — since we wanted it running in the garage. In 3.5 hrs they were done, cleaned up all the mats they had placed down, added the cost of packing materials to the total and that was it. When I unpacked the kitchen items, everything was well marked before I opened the box I knew what was inside, nothing was broken and all the glassware was well padded. I’d definitely recommend them for local moves. Their prices are fair and their moving guys professional — they know what they’re doing.

I rarely write reviews, but have been so impressed with RJ Burton movers for a stressful move situation that I really want to give a shout out to Richard and his team. I first put in an online moving inquiry back in late February 2014 — after our house sold. It was late on a Tuesday or Wednesday night(like 7:30−8pm). The request goes out to multiple moving companies — but Richard called me within minutes of receiving my inquiry to introduce, and set up a time to do a walk through and give an estimate. Its important to note — that it was still at least 4 – 5 business days before I heard from any of the other moving companies(at least over the phone). We set up a time, and Richard was there right on time, did our walk through, talked logistics, was personable and gave me my moving quote. Mind you I received a couple of other quotes from other companies who also did a walk thru and were cheaper, I was still really impressed with RJ Burton’s customer service. As the date neared, I had tentatively scheduled with another company due to cost — and emailed Richard to let him know. But after doing some research on the BBB(and other sites) discovered that the company I selected had a pretty spotty record. After discussing Richard that cost was a main issue for me — we agreed on a revised price, and set up a date and time just a few days prior to my move. His team arrived at the house right on time(again), were professional, courteous, laid down protective matting through the house and were in and out of our 1,800 sq ft 4-bedroom house in about 3.5 hours. They had all of our moving paperwork squared away and showed up today in our new location(500 miles away from Seattle) bright and early at 7:30am as they told us they would. Moving can be stressful, but I have to say — this company made it about as stress-free as can be. Thanks guys — really happy with my move!

Let me first just say… Fantastic service! I recently needed to relocate for work, so I called RJ Burton Relocation Services. They were very professional, showed up on time(they gave me a 1-hour window), and made my move from Woodinville, WA to Chicago a breeze! Their team showed up on time, carried out all my packed belongings in a professional, timely manner, then delivered them to my new apartment. All I had to do was tell them where to put the boxes. I would recommend them to anybody who needs help to relocate to a new place!

My husband and I feel like we dodged a bullet with this one… We set up an appointment with RJ Burton Relocation Services last week. Their representative was supposed to come to our home and storage at 2:00PM today and provide us with an estimate. My husband cleared out his schedule for this. My husband got a call from the owner — Richard Burton at 10:30AM this morning. He was asking if we were told by other movers how many lbs. our belongings weight.(Isn’t it his job to determine that?) He gave us «an approximate» estimate and asked us to…(Drums, please) COMMIT to it.(Yes, he used the word«commit.») Naturally, my husband refused to commit to anything over the phone. Mr. Burton then informed us that he’s very busy and has other clients to assist. He mentioned that he «doesn’t want to twist our arms,» but needs a commitment before visiting our place for an estimate. Again — my husband refused to agree to those terms. So Mr. Burton agreed to honor his 2:00PM appointment. And so we waited… 2:00PM — No one showed up. 2:15PM — There’s still no one. 2:20PM — We start calling RJ Burton Relocation Services’ phone number. Nobody picks up. We try several times. And there’s no response. 2:22PM — We call them from our home phone number(which they don’t know) and someone picks up immediately. Eventually the owner said that he isn’t coming to give us an estimate after all. He insists on a commitment from us before he visits. My question is: how does one commit to an approximate estimate for moving without knowing if it includes the following things? Elevator Carry Flight Charge Linehaul Charge Wrapping furniture with reusable blankets & tape(yes, some companies charge you for that.) Transportation Charge Fuel Surcharge Auxiliary Service Storage-in-Transit Warehouse Handling I think the owner had us mistaken for people who are moving for the first time in their lives… Luckily we found another company that we’re going to use. So we won’t have to deal with Mr. Burton’s unprofessionalism and attitude problem. I suggest that you do the same.
