Well haven’t been to one of these joints in a while, but the service was good the food not like it use to be. Had the burbon steak lost a lot of flavor the drinks were good rest of my fam said there dish was pretty good. Good stop.

I would love to offer a review of the food but my party never got seated. We stood up front door several minutes and no one ever paid us any attention.

Ok has this Applebees’ standards slipped or were they always this bad & I just never paid attention? Our first disappointment was being introduced to our table… mess of food and garbage on the floor right next to our table and we had to step over it. What has happened to American dining? It seems to have become common practice for servers to wipe off a table and just let garbage lay wherever it falls. Worse yet, customers don’t complain. Had a manager been present I would have commented but it was soon very obvious that there was no management there that night. We were served our drinks, a wine and a margarita. Glasses were gritty feeling to the touch. yuck were they clean? My wine glass had red wine slopped all over the base… I had to wipe it off myself. We were not offered or served any water and it took a while before our order was taken. As we waited for our food we noticed a bartender and a waitress standing at the end of the bar sharing a meal. It seemed a bit too casual for them there dining in plain view of all customers, chatting, wiping their mouths and then pouring drinks. Then we noticed they were both eating out of one Styrofoam to go box… two forks and one box. It was just kind of gross like two pigs eating out of one trough… couldn’t they have done that in the back at least, out of sight? Our Caesar salads arrived… cold salads on some very hot plates… oh well… no big deal I suppose but it shows they do not pay attention to detail. Our dinners were quite good… steaks and baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked properly and the potatoes were done well too… very tasty. Young wait staff was everywhere and most were working hard and seemed attentive to their customers but with no manager in sight, things were not well coordinated and some were slacking. Meanwhile food and garbage was left laying on the floor. I searched for a manager all night but there was none to be had so I left my feedback on Unilocal. I guess Gordon Ramsey has spoiled my dining out because he’s made me aware of important little details and how poorly management sometimes is when it comes to cleanliness and service. Applebees, you could be doing a lot better… you get a D+ at best from this customer.

No. Just no. We kept saying the last would be the last, but this time? Done. We have been back for convenience, and this time were just inconvenienced. I get the staff is young. However, I am over being an afterthought while they socialize with friends at tables and among themselves. A little conversation is fine-but when I and other customers are waving down any server just to get a question answered. We have a problem. Food is subpar. Ordered burgers pink(pink or not pink are options) and the last three times we get welllllllll done. To credit they offer to grudgingly take back, but it seems like you are inconveniencing them. Manager or supervisor checked but more cursory. Complained about burger but more like a nod and sorry and next table. Besides why wait for another 15 for a new plate. This last time my husband’s burger was so dried out. What is going on? My meal was meh. Literally not worth mentioning. Ever. Final straw was check and dessert. Dessert arrived thrown together. Ugh. Tried to wave down server to break some bills and couldn’t find. Waved down another who all of couldn’t help either. We left. Done.

I won’t be going back here. The service is always terrible. Bartender took forever to take my drink order. And when I finally got my drink, it was weak. Too sweet and hardly any alcohol. Standard should be a 1 ounce pour but it was not even that. Food tasted like frozen food cooked that I could have easily bought at the grocery store. Not to mention it took about 20 minutes to even get my food.

I’ve eaten here many times and it’s always been solid standard chain fare. I just had to make a comment that we did a takeout order and Diana H. was AWESOME. We’ve ordered many times(dine in and takeout) and asked for extra sauce on a dish and they NEVER give it even though they are always obliging when they take our order. This time, Diana took our order over the phone and she made sure we got our extra sauce. She was super friendly and made sure we knew she was there to get things right. Fingers crossed for our next visit.

Applebee’s is usually a very solid chain restaurant to go to, especially for late night meals. I came here with a group of 7 others at 9:30 and was seated immediately. We made it in right before the late night rush, which was lucky, as it got pretty crowded and people were waiting a bit to be seated. After 10 they have a half off appetizer special and that’s all you need. The portions are huge. I had the sliders with bacon appetizer(the bacon definitely made the burgers) and they were delicious. No they were more than delicious. I got full off of just two of the mini burgers and wanted so badly to finish off of the third one, since it was so good, but couldn’t. I was so sad to leave the last couple of bites, but just couldn’t eat anymore. I also sampled the spinach dip and chip appetizer and it was delicious as well. Both the dip and chips came out warm, and I really enjoyed the cheesiness of the dip. Seeing the size of the apps, I can’t imagine the size of the entrees. I don’t know if it was just because they had a new bartender or someone just inexperienced in the art of drink making, but every drink at our table was sent back. I also noticed other tables sending their drinks back, and our waitress told us this had been happening all night. So hopefully they’ll either retrain the bartenders or get someone who knows how to make a drink. I had ordered a frozen margarita and it came out soupy and disgusting. We also sent back a terrible mojito and another drink I can’t recall. Friday night seems to be karaōke night. This is the first time I’ve ever seen an Applebee’s with a karaōke night and I could see myself possibly liking it up here in the Northeast. But, I have to say, they need a better system. No one should be allowed to come up more than two times, especially when you suck at singing. Sure it’s all fun and what not to get up on the mic, but when you keep going up, the novelty wears off real quick. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She even split up our checks four ways! All in all a very solid chain restaurant experience. Applebee’s hasn’t failed me yet.
