Specialties
We provide a venue for small scale (4 – 12 people) wine and paint parties. Every event is a private one! We also have two open paint nights per month for smaller groups or couples. We also have specialty art workshops in mixed media, art journaling and painting. We love to help scouts earn their art badges and offer a fun, artistic alternative to kids’ birthday parties.
History
Established in 2015.
Pastiche Studio is the brainchild and dream come true of two friends (and their amazing husbands) who decided life would be lovelier if they had a space to create their own personal art, as well as room enough to share the joy of art with others.
Born from that idea is a wonderful little studio tucked in a small strip just south of the Metra tracks in downtown Mokena.
Meet the Business Owner
Emily F.
Business Owner
A painter, art journal-er, writer and collage artist and animal lover. She is a wife, mom of five, and a Grammy.
Emily graduated from Columbia College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She spent 10 years creating a line of primitive cloth doll patterns under her company name Hootin’ Annies, and has been featured in dozens of magazines. In 2007, Emily became an Honoree of Country Living’s Pitch Your Product Contest. While enjoying her success as a cloth doll designer, she felt a deep pull to the fine arts side of creativity. She enjoys working with acrylics and canvas developing her free-spirited expressionistic style. She also enjoys creating paintings for the studio’s gallery for painting parties and specialty art workshops.
Her love of art is genuine and contagious.
