Axes Music was established in 1999 a half mile south of our current location. We Buy & Sell New and Used gear, Instruct, Record, and Repair. We offer lessons in Banjo, Bass, Drums, Guitar, Lap Steel, Piano, and Violin. We offer experienced set-​ups, structural and electronic repair, restrings, and other regular maintenance on all fretted instruments. Our studio has been in operation since 2005 and well before in our own homes. We’ve tuned our system to compete with commercial standards and offer a wide variety of tonal colors to meet the needs of YOUR project. Axes Music strives to keep to world playing because it’s what we love to do and know you do to!

History

Established in 1999.

Owner, Clyde, saw a developing community closer to home in need of an «old school» music store to provide a comfortable environment to learn, play, and connect with local musicians. Son, Bill, currently heads operations and has worked closely with his Father since he was 7 years old. Both are lifetime musicians and have a love of spreading music through education, performance, and recordings.

Business Owner

Bill has headed operations at Axes Music Inc. since 2009. He studied under his Father from the age of 7 years old working alongside in various other music retail and instructional businesses. He’s played in bands and has been recording music since the age of 12 and is proficient in many styles. Bill has also instructed guitar and bass since the age of 16 and has a keen understanding of the tools and skill sets required by players of every level. If he doesn’t have the resources to provide a customer with exactly what they need, he will say so and will not hesitate to refer another business that could better suit the customer. «Old school without the grey hairs.»
