Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown

Best hotel in the area. Loved the breakfast and cookies. The food is standard across Hampton Inn & Suites, but here is extra tasty! The hotel is run efficiently and my room was ready hours earlier so I was able to check in earlier. Loved it here!

Very nice stay here. The hotel is located downtown in the historic district. The parking is limited to hotel guest and there is a $ 15 parking fee. Because it’s downtown, that’s understandable. My room was very nice. Two queen beds that slept very well. The four soft pillows were a plus as well. The front desk made a great recommendation for dinner, The Scam Room. My room also has a balcony and I have a nice view of the city. If I come back to Mobile, I will stay here again.

Had a great stay. Great location, very nice facilities. Manager Robert was very helpful when we had an issue with the reservation that could have cost us quite a bit of money. Will definitely stay there again the next time we swing through Mobile.

The hotel is in a great location downtown. We were impressed of it being very fresh and newly made over. Our room was very nice! And the breakfast was convenient and a good variety of choices. Customer service was excellent! My husband has a broken ankle, so to accommodate us with our rooms, we was given an attached room with a handicap bathroom for easy access and it worked out perfectly. We will stay again! Thanks!

Went to Mobile for the Robert Earl Keen show at the Saenger Theater. Stayed here one night. Wow! Very impressed. Very short walk to the theater from the hotel. Pleasant area of town. Seems kind of like New Orleans «Light.» The hotel was clean and appeared mostly new. We enjoyed the continental breakfast that included make them yourself waffles. Excellent value, perfect location for a concert or show at the theater. Staff was friendly, parking was easy. We will look for more opportunities to catch shows at the Saenger Theatre and stay at the Hampton Inn.

Best customer service I have ever experienced. Stayed at this hotel for 6 weeks straight on business and got to know the friendly staff very well. Towards the later weeks of my stay I forgot to book my hotel and called while driving down Sunday night to get a room for the week. When the receptionist asked me how long I was staying I told her Sunday through Thursday as this was the normal time frame I stayed, and she said is this Miss Hodges? Impressed that she knew me based solely off this info, she then responded saying I knew you were coming so I went ahead and reserved your room and gave you your complimentary upgrade for staying so many weeks with us. I was very impressed by this!!! Every time I walked in the door most all of the employees greeted me by name and were excited to have me as their guest. Could have stayed at a nicer Renaissance hotel close by, but the service won me over.

Nice hotel in the heart of the cute part of Mobile, AL. Front desk is attentive, hotel is clean, and the rooms are very well-​appointed. Even parking isn’t too much of a hassle (for a downtown location). Wish they had a spa… but, I’d stay here again & bring my family.

I stayed here on a business trip and it was a very nice hotel. The folks in the lobby were helpful and professional and the rooms were clean. The wi-​fi worked and really, for an overnight business trip, I can’t ask for much else! They offer free breakfast, which I did not partake in, but seemed like a decent spread. Not just cold breakfast, which is always nice. They also have parking for a fee in a gated lot behind the hotel. I had some technical difficulties with the parking lot! I didn’t realize that there is an area on the side of the hotel that you can pull into and check in, so you can get into the lot. I ended up parking on the street, checking in and then moving my car. It was kind of a pain, so it would have been nice to have known more about the parking situation ahead of time. FYI, the side entrance is down the street to the right of the hotel if you are facing it. I’d definitely stay here again — no complaints.

We had a great stay here. There was a woman working the desk the night we got in and the morning we left– I think her name was Linesay?– and despite working so much, she was super friendly and inviting. The lobby is large and sparkling clean with nice décor. Our room was large, spotless and richly furnished, the bathroom was spacious and clean and the bed was super comfortable. It wasn’t cheap but I was bale to get a discounted rate. The hotel is also located right in the middle of downtown Mobile, so it’s great if you want to walk around the city. The hotel also offers free wifi and a hot breakfast with a waffle maker, maple sausage, western omelets and a selection of donuts/​muffins/​bagels/​etc., as well as juice and coffee. I’d love to stay here again.

I’ve been staying here for the past three weeks for work, and it does start to feel like a home away from home after a while. The staff has always been friendly and accomodating, particularly those tending to the complimentary breakfast in the morning.
The saltwater pool is really lovely, always clean and inviting. If you do stay here, get a room with a balcony– I don’t have one and I really wish I did as I’m on the 7^th floor and have to go down to the lobby to smoke which suuucks.
I really love the location — there’s a Quizno’s attached to the lobby which is convenient on the days you don’t feel like urban-​foraging for food, and a lovely local coffee shop across the street. Veet’s is a great dive bar just next door with a friendly staff, cheap beers and a pool table and the Royal Scam the next door down is probably my favorite restaurant in Mobile, cost and menu considering. You’re also just walking distance from Dauphin Street which has a lot of fun bars, clubs and restaurants on the weekends.
The breakfast bar really gets old after a while… but I guess anything does after three weeks of pretty much the same stuff. Don’t forget your toiletries and medicines though as the sundries shop is HEINOUSLY overpriced ($ 3 for ONE tablet of pepcid AC, I almost fell over in shock)
