A great place to get your coffee in the morning it’s a little bit too far for me but it’s worth it at the very end

Stopped here en route to Florida. Yaya Grits with Shrimp and Sausage was the bomb! Perfect Gulf Coast southern dish. Thanks Unilocal for suggesting tis spot!

Stopped by this gem on the way through Mobile. Had the taste of India drink which was a lovely mixture of Chai and Vanilla. The bagel sandwich was amazing as well as their cheese grits. The sign outside said best grits in town, they weren’t lying.
Wonderful atmosphere and the cashier Jarvis was a delight with perfect customer service. Even took some cake pops to go for family. They were a hit. We are putting this place on a must visit list while commuting through Mobile.

Was in the area and looking for a bite to eat. Found this cute little coffee bistro and had an amazing lunch and delicious coffee. The staff was extremely tentative. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Delicious coffee and the grits are the best I’ve ever had. Seriously. And I love grits. I also had a breakfast bagel which was very tasty, but the GRITS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Yesterday I visited Cream & sugar café, I ordered yaya grits & all I got was a plate of grease and cold shrimp & sauage. just awful!

Unlike most reviewers, I understand we all have hot and cold days, but unfortunately, places serving food can’t afford the luxury of such a varying degree in food service. That said, there have been many times that I have enjoyed stopping by, grabbing a latte and a muffin or a take-​out breakfast sandwich. In all my instances, the experiences have all been pleasantly good and the food very satisfactory.

Regrettably, I had to change down to 4 stars for now. Yesterday, I ordered a Caesar Salad. And guess what I got? Just a plate of iceberg lettuce with a side of Caesar dressing.
A frickin’ plate of iceberg lettuce. What’s up with all that? This is NOT how Caesar Salad suppose to appear like. I’d like to receive an explanation, please. I refused to accept it, and requested a refund which I did get. But still… What the heck is this?

Quaint restaurant in a renovated old home near downtown Mobile. Not an extensive menu, but quality food. I ordered a breakfast burrito and brewed coffee (Peruvian). Service was fast. Food was hot and very good. More seating would make for a nicer experience.

Food– 5 stars! Breakfast burrito was tasty, coffee as good as anywhere, and we LOVED the cake balls. Key lime was our favorite.
The servers were fine– a bit lackluster and we had to find and open a package of napkins so we could clean our table.
Clientele was very cool. Had nice conversations with several people while we were here.
Worth coming back for the bread. We’ll give the circuses another try.

Great little coffee shop. Handmade coffee drinks and a small menu of food offerings. The pastry take the cake (pun intended). Cake balls are awesome and several flavors of Old Dutch ice cream. Outside seating in the court yard is dog friend. Great neighborhood location. I really enjoyed sitting outside and watching the world go by. Come join me

Such a cute little place to stop! They have breakfast and lunch all day and some very cute pastries. I had the sausage biscuit and hash brown casserole and my boyfriend had the chicken salad– all was so good and a great price. Good selection of hot and cold drinks– a great little café!

Quaint neighborhood café that has delicious food and local brewed coffee. It was a little small and got a bit noisy when the blender was on but other than that it was a great place to visit. The cake balls were creatively flavored and so yummy. The prices were quite reasonable and the staff was very nice.
I will definitely be back!

If you are like me and you have spent hours on end daydreaming about finding the perfect coffee shop in a cozy neighborhood, with quirky staff and delicious food, your search is over.
Cream and Sugar Café is the place you want to pretend to be one of the Gilmore Girls while reading a novel and drinking freshly steamed coffee. It is in an old house and has the coziest warmth when you walk inside. I stumbled in on a early Saturday morning for some shrimp and grits, sausage biscuits, and cheesy hash browns for my friend and I. I met and quickly fell in love with Jarvis working behind the counter. He was so sweet and lit up the coffee shop. He was helpful and patient as this was my first visit and couldn’t decide what to order. He chatted with me about my hometown of Brewton (we are new to Mobile) and made me feel so comfortable.
There are big jars full of candy, sprinkles, and cookie chips ready to top ice cream and Frios popsicles were in stock. There was a full case of a variety of cake balls in yummy flavors like red velvet and chocolate. Upstairs they have a loft for studying and its so cozy! I also love that they extend the store hours during finals so college kids can have time to study.
Our breakfast was delicious and I can’t wait to be back! I am bringing a friend later this week because I know she will love the atmosphere and service. Thank you Cream and Sugar!

HOLY CAKE BALLS BATMAN!!! This place is amazing!
I stopped in for lunch one day and was excited to see that they were filming an episode of the Prancing Elites’ reality tv show out front. The place was pretty crowded between the lunch crowd and the film crew. The service was still outstanding.
The food — seriously, it’s phenomenal! I had the absolute best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken salad has almonds and bell peppers and is served on a crescent roll. I’ve yet to stop thinking about it. I followed it up with two cake balls that were out of this world! One was pumpkin spice and it was probably one of the best desserts I’ve had all year. The other was strawberry shortcake, and it was good too, but didn’t compare to the pumpkin spice. I love that they serve Earl Grey tea rather than the usual, everyday tea you get at most restaurants.
The atmosphere is quite charming as well. The place is a quaint little cottage style house in the Oakleigh neighborhood. It has a little front porch with a couple of small tables on it. They also have a little patio outside. There are a few cozy little tables inside, of course.
I wish I could give this place more than five stars. It’s easily one of my favorite lunch spots anywhere.

This is the coolest breakfast spot on Sunday morning in Mobile. Why? — Because it’s a cute yet sophisticated coffee house in the middle of a beautiful historic neighborhood. And of course they serve wonderful breakfast food. One of my faves is the Conecuh Sausage Biscuit — soft and scrumptious. Love the servers, they are super fun.

I stumbled upon Cream and Sugar Café by total accident. We were driving back to Austin from Gulf Shores and stopped in Mobile to visit Magnolia Cemetery. Afterward we drove around the beautiful historic neighborhood and decided to stop for some coffee before getting back on the road. I had a pumpkin spice frozen coffee drink that was AMAZING. And it wasn’t even fall! These beautiful people recognized that pumpkin can be enjoyed year-​round. I fell in love with the atmosphere, enjoying the hell out of my out-​of-​season pumpkin spice, and vowed to return.
Fast-​forward a year later. Mobile was a natural stopping point on our Austin to Savannah road trip. But I am not ashamed to admit that the thought of stopping at Cream and Sugar was also in the back of my mind. So we took a slight detour on our way out of town the next morning. They do have an extensive selection of frozen coffee drinks (I refer to them as coffee milkshakes because real talk, for the calorie content they might as well be. But SO WORTH IT) and this time I went with peanut butter mocha. Perfection. And I decided to try one of the cake balls. Red velvet is the standard by which I judge all cake balls and they passed with flying colors.
There is just something about Cream and Sugar — maybe the community feel — that I really love. Next time I want to try some of their savory items. It is definitely worth the trip off of I-​10!

Super cute, quaint place in historic Mobile. Loved my breakfast burrito with Conecuh sausage — it was amazing and quite filling! The oatmeal was a bit surprising — came out raw in a bowl with a side of steamed milk. So if you like your oatmeal cooked to death, this isn’t for you. For a lighter dish, the greek yogurt and fruit was quite satisfying. Seems to be a two man shop — one in the front and one in the back, so try to avoid rush hour.

The pistachio was ok. The salted caramel was delicious, although I do wish they used fleur de sel on top instead of crystallized sugar. The key lime was my fave. It managed to hit all of the salivary notes you expect.
The neighborhood is so cute. As a Yankee visiting the south, this house-​converted-​restaurant is the definition of a southern spot. Sit on the porch. It’s the perfect place for watching the local kids play on the street and soak up the warm sunny breezes.

I was visiting a friend in Mobile and stopped by this charming little breakfast spot. The smoothie was really good. They have almond milk for lattes! I was so surprised and their drink was amazing. Everyone who worked here was phenomenal. Worth checking out if you are traveling and in the mood for good coffee.
