After having been repeatedly frustrated by the quality of service with a larger company, my husband found LBA today. First of all, receiving same day service for our busted AC on the hottest day of the year was greatly appreciated. Secondly, Nick was personable, professional, and prompt – creating a strong first impression on behalf of the company. We have switched to LBA’s maintenance plan and look forward to continued stellar service. (Also, thank you, Nick, for rolling our garbage and recycling bins up to the garage for us! That was thoughtful of you!)

They got to our house as quickly as they could, and the technician diagnosed the problem within minutes of gaining access to the AC unit. Nick was awesome, and deserves a day or two off! PAID!!! Thank you Nick!

Our a/​c went out at 3:30 am today. We called at 3:30 am and again at 5 am and were told they would page someone. We finally got a call they would let us know if they could fix our a/​c today. They finally called back at 8:10 am and said they would be out between 1 – 4 pm. It’s 4:40 pm right now and no calls and no service person. We called someone else and they are fixing our a/​c right now. Very disappointed that on a very hot day, no response and they advertise as being open ²⁴⁄₇; that’s why we picked them & made a call. Our poor pets have been home all day in a warm house. Luckily, I left the blinds closed so this helped some.

I’ve worked with LBA over the years to handle many projects. The largest was a multi-​hundred-​thousand dollar complete mechanical contract for a 58,000 sq. ft. Building I was remodeling, and the smallest have been simple service calls for my own home HVAC and plumbing systems. The company is always prompt, courteous, and fair in all regards. Technicians are clean, careful, and well-​spoken. The reputation LBA enjoys is one it has earned.

Zach S. came over to my house and installed a steam humidifier. He did a great job on keeping me informed on the work. Very polite and professional. Price was very fair. Will definitely use LBA again.

They always go above and beyond — fixing everything that we needed while explaining what’s going on so that we can understand our system and what’s happening to it. They also really try to keep the costs to a minimum as much as possible, without cutting corners. Everyone we’ve ever worked with at LBA has been super friendly and nice. We’ll never call the «other guys» again!

When you are facing a major home repair, there is peace of mind knowing you’re in good, capable hands. When our sewer line had to be replaced, LBA Heating & Plumbing provided those capable hands to complete the task. Our Service Manager, Mitch, was incredibly proficient (his handling of the camera scope through the line was better than the inspector’s) and knowledgeable (answering every question I asked, thoroughly and patiently). His team arrived promptly the morning of the job, and everyone had stellar attitudes; despite the messiness of the work, they appeared genuinely happy to be there to help us out. Greg was in charge of the outside work in the easement, Angelena took care of the excavation in our basement, and Matt moved between the two areas providing assistance as needed. We were especially glad that Mitch was there, as unexpected issues arose during the job (with our foundation drain and with the sewer line from our easement to the main line) and his expertise was invaluable in solving them. The entire team was extremely well-​coordinated, synchronizing their tasks so that no one stood ide and everything moved as quickly yet as calmly as possible. There was no fuss – just efficient, timely work. They thoughtfully kept the length of time the sewer was out of operation as short as possible, so that we would not be inconvenienced. And they were kind enough to invite me to watch the pipe-​bursting process (which is REALLY cool!) both down in the basement and out in the easement excavation. Their proficiency created a smooth operation which was completed in a surprisingly short period of time. When they were finished, there was only about 4″ of overfill in the excavated section of the easement; new concrete was laid in the basement area; there was new PVC pipe for our house drain, a new filter cap over our foundation drain, and our washer drain was correctly connected. The outside area was tidy and my neighbors were amazed that there was so little evidence of the major work that had gone on all day. We thanked the team profusely for their time and expertise, but there’s really no way to thank someone adequately for such great service. It truly was a great relief to have the work completed so well and so quickly. I am telling everyone I know that LBA is the BEST plumbing company in the city!

Used LBA for my new Lennox Central Air Conditioning unit and ongoing HVAC service. Unit was installed professionally, the LBA Techs and Installers were professional, courteous, and left my house cleaner than it was before they did the installation. Installation estimated time and cost were consistent with original estimate provided to me before install — very pleased with their service.

265 for a 20 dollar part + 120 labor. If you’re charging for «expertise and diagnostics», then that should be reflected in your labor costs. What the hell guys?

LBA is the only company I use anymore to service my air conditioner, boiler, hot water heater and other plumbing needs. I trust them to be in my home, even when I’m not there. We have done tons of business with them over the last several years, renovating two houses, and they recognize us as loyal customers. They are always professional and clean on site, and they work within my schedule for convenience. I highly recommend LBA for all your plumbing, heating and cooling needs.

Zach and Zack (yup, there were two of ‘em!) were prompt, helpful, and quickly fixed the problem. They answered all my questions and were careful to wear shoe covers. I will use them again.

Eric (the service tech) was very professional is servicing our system and problem. He was very clear with what he was going to do, the diagnostics, the repair, and the additional preventative maintenance. I will call on LBA again.

We were referred to LBA by our regular air conditioner company because they no longer install or work on units that are in attics. Our house is old, the air conditioner and furnace was old. The duct work in the attic had disintegrated so it needed to be replaced. LBA had EVERYTHING done in 1 day! The guys were so polite, neat and clean and professional and courteous and we are so thankful for their wonderful service. John, Zach, Keith, Jim and the rest were wonderful. We would recommend LBA in a heartbeat.

This buisness will rip you off! It’s like buying a car. They must work on commission. They will always find something wrong. They told me I needed a new air conditioner so I called for a second opinion. The new guy told me LBA put to much freon in it.

From Darrell (salesman) to Bo & Jim (installers) the entire process went smooth. Had new AC /​Heater /​Humidifier installed along with some new duct work and the guys did a great job. They were on time and were done in just a few hours.
I would give these guys a call if you are looking at replacing your AC /​Heater. Excellent service, very knowledgable.

My AC died during the 100 degree heat wave. I called LBA and they were out at 7:30 am the next morning. Great. «Repairman» Jon told me the unit was beyond repair and gave me an estimate of $ 3250 to replace. I paid him $ 89 and then had friend of a friend stop by to confirm before we spent the big bucks. He oiled the fan motor and I had AC in 10 minutes. We replaced the motor the next day unit is working great.
I contacted LBA and explained what had transpired. Roger did the right thing and apologized and refunded my $ 89. For that I am appreciative. If you use this company get a second opinion before shelling out big money and don’t let Jon on your property.

Okay, these guys ARE heroes.
My heat went out on Tuesday. Saw a good Unilocal review Wednesday morning, and the serviceman was here at 1:00. My 22-​year old Lennox furnace was DOA, and possibly trying to poison us with carbon monoxide… it is now 27 hours later, and I have a complete new high-​efficiency HVAC system up and running.
Everyone I dealt with was a complete professional. They call before they come, and they show up on time. All the utility rebates were applied up front, and LBA took care of sending in for the manufacture’s rebate. They explained everything and set up a service call in a couple of weeks to make sure everything’s working right and that I’m satisfied. They cleaned up and finished about 2 hours ahead of schedule.
And they sell Lennox. Did I mention the last one lived for 22 years? I’m doin’ a Happy Girl Dance, too!
