History

Established in 1980.

We are a father/​daughter business. Dad started shooting for fun back when Nixon was President. It was his hobby and thru request he started taking photos all of the time. Hobby became is business. I, the daughter Jessica, also had photography as my hobby and then it dawned on me that I could do what I love and get paid. After I graduated from CMSU, dad was offered a job with the Missouri House Senate. Perfect timing, I then took over running our studio in 2003 in Raytown. We then became Scott E. Thomas & Daughter Photography. Recently, we have moved our studio to downtown Lee’s Summit.

Photography is my passion. I love freezing all of the moments and beautiful faces in time. I have 2 boys Jackson and Carter. Since I have become a parent, I have realized how fast they grow and how important it is to capture as many memories as I can. And I was everyone to do the same. I have always keep my pricing reasonable and hook up all of my return customers with $ 54 worth of free photos every time they book a session. Plus, if something $-wise comes up no worries we keep all photos forever. I am not your boring head and shoulder photographer… I am more like a ninja I climb up high on bridges to laying on the itchy grass to get that amazing shot.
