Located inside the mission viejo mall, and guess what— they just LOWERED THEIR PRICES YAY! Back down to 5.89 for a chicken teriyaki. If you have two people, I recommend getting a double meat chicken teriyaki and splitting it!

We had the teriyaki chicken and did not like it.
The chicken was very greasy. Some pieces were overcooked (not turned over soon enough?) and tough to bite on one side. Some pieces were «stuck» to other pieces so maybe they need to slow down when they chop up the pieces.
The service was friendly.

Food is pretty good, I’d give 4.5 for the food. Love the veggies and fried rice. A decent fast food option with balance– in my view– plenty of fiber and protein. It’s the service, or the lack thereof, that I have an issue with. Smile and keep eye contact, people! You are in the service industry! Better look like you care! From the cashier to the cooks, only blank faces downcast eyes with mild annoyance are offered. The cook got confused over my order and were not helpful when I asked for clarification. When he was loading my plate, a small piece of grease flew and burned my hand. Ouch! I was glad it’s not in my eyes or face. And he was not interested to even ask if I was ok. IT’S OVER BETWEEN US! I left in a bad mood with my food. No tip for you.

I love this place so much I’m literally addicted. I have been getting this place for years now on a regular basis! I eat it at least once a week! I always get triple chicken because I like it so much.
The teriyaki sauce is by far the best I ever have at any teriyaki bowl place! I love how they are always yelling yummy yummy chicken! I seriously would recommend this place to anyone! I love it and would say that anyone else should love it too. Best part is the food is always fresh because they are constantly cooking it!

Drove 20 minutes to get here… & got here 20 minutes before closing & was told they were closed. You just turned away a customer that’s been coming here for 10+ years… that’s really bad customer service!!!

So today’s lunch time was very uncomfortable and frustrating at Sarku’s.
I ordered a chicken teriyaki roll and shrimp tempura roll. Simple as that. But somehow it translated to shrimp tempura and California roll.
I tell the guy who made my sushi that the order wasn’t correct, and the lady at the cash register insisted that that’s what I ordered.
Um. No.
The guy making the sushi was like, ok. Chicken teriyaki roll and shrimp tempura roll. Got it.
The entire time, the cashier glared at me in plain sight for a good 5 minutes as though it were my fault. There was no way I misread that she was pissed at me over an order that she messed up.
Funny enough, the guy making my sushi messed up the order again.
Took them 3 times to fix my order, all
the while the cashier lady was being extremely rude to me.
Never getting food from there again and Terrible customer service.
Not even one apology for wasting my time either.

My favorite place to eat in the mall. Always get the Teriyaki Chicken with double meat! I have been coming here for over 10 years. The place right next to them has been trying to steal their business by also offering Teriyaki Chicken, don’t get the 2 mixed up! GO TO SARKU

The chicken teriyaki is the best I have ever had. Make sure you get sauce on it otherwise it isn’t half as good. I will be coming back here often!

At the mall? Grab some yummy chicken teriyaki from Sarku. They have perfected the chicken teriyaki and it is — hands down — better than other sit down Japanese restaurants. It’s juicy, savory and the veggies have the perfect crispiness.
There’s always a line but they’re quick.
They also have shrimp tempura, shrimp teriyaki and even fresh sushi. But their signature dish — chicken Teriyaki — is the one worth the trip.

This is perfect for when you have one of those days where you go to the mall and it seems like you spend countless hours browsing the many shops until finally working up an appetite.
This place is awesome as they are always giving out free samples of their teriyaki chicken to you as you walk about the food court!
Smart for them to do that because it’s worked they’ve been here since they redid the mall a good number of years ago beating out various competitors with similar chicken concepts.
Every time I’ve been here the food has been just awesome a mound of chicken, veggies, & steamed white rice served to you hot of the grill.
The cashier will usually try to get you to order double chicken you don’t really need it they generally give you a good amount so I only get the double if I’m super hungry!
They also offer sushi and other seafood but everyone always gets the chicken it seems very rare that I see anyone get anything else so roll the dice with that on if it’s good or not.
If you work in the mall they will give you 50¢ off of your check just tell the cashier and you will be chillin.
You know ill be back here again at one point to fend off the hunger of the mall rat syndrome as it’s what’s good in the food court!

I’m a health nut, so I order the chicken and veggies, with no rice, sauce or oil. It’s delicious!

Best food court place ever food is so good always fresh and staff is verry friendly omg the chicken and veggies the best thing on the menu come here alot they have a stamp card and on the 5^th stamp you get a meal free i use that all the time check this place out o and one of the guys is always saying yummy yummy i think he is the owner so yep ck this place out at the mission Viejo. As I was leaving the restroom, I watched the cook leave the bathroom and walk straight back to the restaurant. WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS… I haven’t eaten there, but now I won’t ever! So fuggin gross.
Next day… Just saw the same guy do the same thing AGAIN!

Run don’t walk. My husband and i eat here ever chance we get. Theres a guy that yells yummy yummy hes really nice and very funny. Their positive attitudes and out going personalities are what keep us comming back along with the amazing chicken. Omg so good. This is a food i eat just because it makes me happy.

The chicken was good, but I made the mistake of ordering the Deluxe Bento since I wanted more variety. That was a mistake. The California rolls and tempuras were of very low quality and seems like it had been under heat lamp for way too long. Stick with what’s fresh, which is the teriyaki chicken.

Yesterday I was sitting with my friend for a lunch there.
The place looks Nice everthing was very clean and the employers was very friendly and professional,
The only problem that i had was that its took a long time Untill the food was serve to ua and we were very hungry.
Although the food was very good and high quality
Bottom line im gonna recommended to my friends and familay.

Worst place ever. The man who hands out meat samples offed me a sample and I said no. He kept trying to force the sample on me and my mom told him I don’t eat meat. He said why don’t u eat meat and he was a real jerk about the way I eat. Worst place and they never have business

I come here on my lunch break and am impressed that food in a mall food court could be so good!
I’ve tried both the chicken and beef teriyaki. I like beef better.
They cook it right in front of you and it comes with rice, stir fry veggies, and mushrooms.
They’re always giving out free samples so give it a try!

The chicken teriyaki. The staff here regularly give out samples for this dish and it’s a good one. Rice and veggies including broccoli and carrots accompany the plate. $ 1.09 for extra meat makes it good enough for two servings, at least for me. Last week I shared a double meat plate with a friend and I felt it was a good amount of food. I’ve had the regular plate as well and found it to be quite a lot for me.
The place is in the Mission Viejo Shops food court. I’ve tried other dishes, such as the chicken and shrimp teriyaki combo but I prefer the chicken teriyaki.
