QuickFix Computer Repair – IT Solutions

HP Laptop screen inverter (part DV7−1000)needed to be replaced was the call received a week ago. Today, appears the wrong screen arrived and the repair is not complete.
Not really sure at this point what they’re repairing on my laptop. All I know is that it has been ten days to repair a screen issue.

I brought my computer in. Had a terrible virus. Got it «fixed» brought it home. Screen went black from hitting start menu. Brought it back in. Got it «fixed» again. Took it home… screen went black. I called and Antonio told me bring it back in again! We live in Irvine. I told him obviously forget it and just pay me my money back. He told me plain and simple NO I DID THE WORK! Noooo… you gave me back my computer in worse condition than it was already in. Reported to BBB we will see what they think. I understand things happen but I feel I was taken major advantage of. I suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Before coming to them, I had taken my custom gaming computer build to some of the smartest tech friends I had and they weren’t able to pinpoint my issue (I’ll spare you from the boring details). They said they had never encountered such a strange issue. So finally I relented and decided to get «professional help» so I brought them my build that I dubbed the «build from hell.»
When I first came in here, I’ll be honest that I was a bit skeptical. Not saying that I’m a tech expert but I know my way around a computer. I was thinking these guys did more «basic» fixes that «your mom or dad» needed help with. Luckily for me, Jay and Antonio proved me wrong and proved me wrong quickly.
Long story short, after some back and forth, Jay and Antonio were able to fix my computer! So instead of having a really expensive paperweight, I have an actual working computer! They even installed the operating system and did all the tedious work of install all the updates/​drivers and even providing me with some useful applications that I might need.
On top of all that because of all the back and forth, they gave me a very steep discount on their services. So not only are they great at what they do but their prices are EXTREMELY competitive and I could not recommend them enough.
No matter what issue you may have big or small, Jay and Antonio have got you covered!!!

This place was great! Took my gateway laptop in for a consult. It was old, screen wouldn’t turn on one day. Antonio was great at detecting the problem, quoting me. It cost as much to repair as buying a basic one since it was around the holidays. He was able transfer all my data onto an external hard drive for me. He made this process so simple and easy for me! Had a small issue this morning with my PC and spent time driving to Micro Center and then Fry’s with no luck. Just by chance, I found Jay at QuickFix and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and got me up and running in about 5 minutes. What great customer service! I’m not happy I wasted so much time this morning driving around and getting no help from the other places, the «big «guys», but in the end, I found QuickFix so it was worth it. Thanks!

Quick Fix was able to fix my MacBook Pro after the motherboard was destroyed b/​c of water damage and it had not been used for 2 years. They were super friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I will definitely be back for any future repairs.

This is the best place to go if you need anything repaired! Antonio is the best he will be very specific about what needs to be done with no additional surprise! Unlike other repair shops it’s fast, reliable, and customer friendly! It took less than a week to repair my MacBook keyboard. At the Apple Store it was a hassle, from making an appointment to sending it to get quoted would take from 2 – 3 weeks! Amazing overall! Would recommend everyone to come here!!!

Antonio called me after seeing my concerns as a repeat customer and made it right. I commend him on his professionalism and support. You can read below what happened but he took the time to call me and offer to fix the issues the previous management wouldn’t. He knew it was wrong and was apologetic about the experience. I was worried about going back but he offered to repair the issue and made sure everything was done quickly. I have never been more surprised by how well he took care of us and was calling to keep us aware of when the parts came in and adjusted his schedule to work with us.
I would definitely feel comfortable about going back in the future !!

Broken power connector. Took in to have repaired. This is the second time so I wanted to use the same company that repaired it the first time.
They fixed the issue but damaged the motherboard so no the battery will no longer charge. It was charging before I took it to them. They took a week to do the initial repair then had the laptop another week to try again. They also broke the clips on the cover and agreed to replace it at their cost.
I guess I’m just still upset that they won’t repair what they did in damaging the motherboard so it will no longer charge the battery. That’s part of owning a business is to take care of the customer and in my case they did not. No instead of a laptop we have a desktop. Which does no good for a consultant who travels to clients to conduct business. Perhaps they are better suited to service desktops.

My son’s laptop was running hot. The fan appeared to be functional, but wasn’t able to cool the system sufficiently while playing games or streaming videos. Antonio was very professional and courteous when we called to ask about service for this issue, and when we dropped the laptop off.
After investigating the problem he said the fan was not malfunctioning, but this model of laptop has a reputation for the fan not being powerful enough to keep the system completely cooled when gaming or running other resource intensive applications. The manufacturer (HP) did not offer any alternatives for replacing the fan with an alternative fan. Antonio recommended two things: 1) cleaning the fan and air vent to remove dust and other build up and 2) purchasing a cooling pad to set the laptop on, particularly when gaming or streaming videos. We authorized the cleaning and the laptop is now back to running as it did during the first year or so after we bought it, i.e., it gets warm, but not hot. We will be purchasing a cooling pad or OPlolar unit (QuickFix doesn’t sell either of these, and recommended we just buy a mid-​priced pad or similar product on-​line).
Both the time to repair and the price were reasonable. Antonio seemed knowledgeable and professional. I would have given them 5 stars except that when I picked up the laptop, he forgot to give me the power adapter (and I didn’t think about it at the time), and so I had to stop by another time to pick it up. He apologized and noted he had another customer who he was working with on a complex issue when I arrived, so he was a bit distracted.
They were in the process of remodeling/​updating this location, so they seem committed to their business.
I would definitely use them again for other repairs of PCs or laptops.

Wow! These guys are amazing! My laptop got run over on the 405 freeway and tossed onto the shoulder… NO WAY — Yes, WAY (that’s a whole other Oprah)! It was later recovered by CalTrans (WAY!) but badly damaged. I took it in to QuickFix with slim hopes of getting my data recovered. Jay was skeptical but popped out the hard drive and in less than ten minutes I had a flashdrive in my hand with all of my files… for a very nominal fee… and I was on my merry way. Incredible. Don’t go anywhere else, these guys RULE! :)

My laptop broke and I had the chance to meet Jay. He was very nice and he explained what the process would be to get it fixed.
QuickFix recently changed management as well and I had the pleasure to meet Antonio, the new manager. Antonio was very cordial and he explained the different services they provide.
If I ever have a need help with my laptop I know I can trust QuickFix to get it fixed.

My computer was down and making a loud humming noise. The Quick Fix team helped me out right away. They even helped me the same day. I would highly recommend and will use them again!

I have an Hp laptop which was not working for almost 6 month and I didn’t now the reason, and I was already lost hope to have it fixed since I don’t have a warrenty from Hp, so 2 days ago I was walking by that computer store and I just wanted to see how much will it cost me to fix it and I was so scared that the problem would cost me a lot since I’m on a budget now, so they told me that they will check it up and will let me know what’s wrong with it, yesterday I have received a call from Jason and he told me that they have checked it and that it had a bad ram and that was causing the problem and they quote me $ 40and I told them that this is kind of high to me and then a guy his name is Alex picked up the phone and he said it’s ok it’s on the house this time!
So I have picked it up an hour ago and it works again:)))

I have a MacBook I got off Ebay that I’m going to give my son for Christmas after I replace the hard drive with a Solid State drive and upgrade the memory. But one of the screws wouldn’t come out and so I could not get the back completely off to replace the memory. I did a quick internet search and saw QuickFix was close to me. I called and talked to Alex and told him my issue. He said to bring it in and that he could get the screw out.
I headed right over and sure enough, he got the screw out. He asked me if I had the memory with me. I did and he replaced that for me to right on the spot. We checked to make sure the new memory worked and he put it all back together. It was literally a QuickFix, only a couple of minutes. I was super impressed with the helpfulness.
Needless to say, if I have a computer that needs real repair work, this is the place I’m going.

Excellent customer service and they were very helpful showing me the problem not like other places, i will be returning to this place and recommending other people as well.
