Ez Smog Check

I usually don’t write reviews because everyone has their own opinion and different experiences at places… This was the easiest smog I have had done! The guy was so so so nice I called 17 min till closing and was right by so he said he would do it for me! I was in and out in less then 10 minutes! I used the $ 10 off coupon on his Unilocal page and although I paid a little more then I could have found it was WELL WORTH THE MONEY! Like I said I was in and out, he kept telling me to go inside because it was warm in there, it was clean and so easy!!! I will definitely be back and I will send anyone over that may need a smog!!!

Couldn’t believe how fast they were with the smog check and I used their 30% discount which they offered through Unilocal.I highly recommend their service and if you do go, you’d be amazed.

One of the very few smog stations open on Sunday. Danny is the man. You can count on him to be open during the posted hours and he will get you in and out quickly with a very fair price. I will be coming back to him regularly for my future smog checks. I highly recommend him.

Just like everyone said, quick, easy and cost effective. I went in on a Wed. afternoon around 4:00. I was out by 4:15.
I had the online coupon for $ 10 off, but then noticed I got a %30 discount for checking in on Unilocal.I forgot to bring my registration renewal certificate, but they just used my existing registration I had in the car.
I’ll go back again. Definitely recomended.

This took less than 10 minutes. I walked in, presented my DMV renewal paperwork, and was quoted the price and asked to sign their paperwork including address and make/​model of car. Then I showed the $ 10 off coupon from my phone and received a better price. Signed the paperwork, handed over the keys, grabbed a free soda from the small fridge, and sat down long enough to take couple cellphone pics for this review. The car was ready before I had a chance to take a 2^nd sip of soda. Seriously — great service and easy to find.

Thank you Danny for discount and quick appointment. Thank you Minh for the quick work and awesome attitude! In and out in 20 minutes or less didn’t even have time to enjoy my book in your clean and nicely air-​conditioned little lobby. We will definitely be repeat customers!

You would be foolish to go anywhere else in Mission Viejo for a smog check. I was promised 15 – 20 minutes and it was done in ten. The price was less than anyone else in the area and there were comfortable chairs and current magazines in the waiting area. I’m so happy I found this place!

Not only Danny gives you a 30% discount for checking in, but you’re literally in and out of the shop in less than 30 minutes. In my case, I went on an early Sunday afternoon and there was no line and I was done in 10 minutes. I told my friends and family about making sure no matter what part of South County they live, they need to go to this smog location.

I just left EZ Smog Check and I have to say that I was blown away by how FAST the whole process took. I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes (maybe less). I’ve been taking my vehicles here for years and will continue to do so.

This place is a joke. Too expensive and pretty much a scam. 80 bucks for a smog check that you can get much cheaper elsewhere.
Tech failed me because I didn’t have a CA legal sticker on my aftermarket intake even though I passed everything else. I even brought up the intake online to show it was legal and the guy said he couldn’t take it. My car passed smog last year and the sticker wasn’t a problem at all.
Anyway, he says when I get the sticker I have to bring it back and he will only charge me 40 bucks. Really? So yes, I ponied up the cash but ill never be back. The only reason I went there in the first place was that it was one of the few open on Sunday.

I was in and out of here in literally 10 minutes. I’ve been here a few times and I’d have to say, although this place isn’t the closet to my house, I’d come back here for any SMOG check services in the future. I used to go to the one in Lake Forest until they moved here, in which they would fit my motorhomes in for smog. I’ve had the smaller of my two motorhomes (26′) here without a problem.

This is in response to Danny’s response to my original review… First of all, I got to the shop at 6:42 to be exact, not 6:55 as Danny indicated. I never show up at a business so close to closing time but since their ad says they close at 7 pm and it only takes 10 mins for the smog check, I thought I had enough time. I was greeted with a very unwelcoming face and never was i told that the smog machine has been turned off nor explained that it takes half an hour to restart. If that’s the case, then they should advertise that they close at 6:30, not 7:00 pm and not say that it only takes 10 mins for the smog check so people who show up 18 mins before closing time won’t walk away disappointed or angry. If he would have been more welcoming when I walked in and explained that I needed to show up half hr early to get a 10 min smog check and offered to accommodate me the next day (like a good business would do), I would’ve never written a long negative review. And by the way, I told him my coupon is in the car and he did pick up the clipboard before that as if to hand it to me to fill out but immediately put it down as soon as I mentioned the coupon! He NEVER indicated he was «HAPPY» to do the smog check for me, coupon or no coupon nor did he suggest coming back the following day! I wouldn’t have come back anyway just bcuz of how I was treated as a first time customer!
This place has a lot of 1 star reviews for very good reasons and because there are so many other smog stations all over, you are better off going to the ones who will greet you with a smile and will honor their advertised time and be more accommodating… I just saw a 30% off offer they posted on this Unilocal site that I never noticed before. Could that be a ploy to get people to ignore the negative reviews? BEWARE!

This is the ONLY place I trust to smog my cars. I’ve been going here for about 10 years and know what to expect. No hassles, no surprises, 10 minutes and i’m on my way. Any time in the past I take my car to any repair station, or try to follow some bogus coupon, I regret it. I was always getting some ridiculous bill to fix something every time I had a repair station do my smog, it drove me crazy. I think its good to have these guys «test only» meaning that there’s not any conflict of interest now.
And really Danny is a great guy who is really cool to get to know. He seems gruff and direct, but who cares? I’m just glad that there’s somewhere local I can go for my smog check without all the nightmares. And i’m always glad to support the places that have been around for a while in the community.
