Established in 2005.

Our family owned and operated business treats our clients like family. We are passionate about providing a relaxing environment that will take away your stress. Our family moved to the U.S. in 1993. We spent many years working in the nail and skin care industry until we decided to open our own nail salon and spa. Owning our business has given us such pride and joy — we are truly living the American Dream!

Owner and operator, Phuong Nguyen has extensive experience as a Nail Technician, Esthetician, and Massage Therapist. With almost 15 years in the industry, she prides herself on providing exceptional service to her customers.

Phoung is a Cal State Long Beach graduate, with a degree in Film and Electronic Arts. She also is a student at National University, studying to get a MFA in Digital Cinema.

I have been coming here for years. Love this family owned salon because of the extremely friendly service, the relaxing atmosphere and the prices cannot be beat. Tammy and Mike have done beautiful pink and white and acrylic nails with just the perfect shape and thickness. Thin enough to be elegant, thick enough to last. They don’t try to upsell also which is a relief. Will continue to give them my business.

I frequented this salon for many years and their service was great while the owner had her full attention to the business — when the owner started leaving her daughter in charge more and more, the service, cleanliness, and professionalism went down the tubes, however I remained loyal and put up with the unpleasant experiences. Then one day, just by accident, a friend asked me to join her in a salon day at the spa she uses– wow was I shocked at the difference. Immediately I knew I needed to break the ties and go somewhere where I felt pampered and where the tools were sealed in a package.

Yeah so I found this place, Diva Nails, on Unilocal hoping to maybe do a 2 in one. I dropped my car off at the mechanic in the same complex and walked over at 9 am. Only to find I’ve been now sitting in front of the store for 20 minutes and they’re still not open. I don’t know if I’m reading all the signs wrong but opening this late loses business. If you open at 9 am, open at that time. Otherwise change your signs. Complete disappointment.

Wow, I just got back from my vacation and YOU, so-​called business owner, are making quite a bit of accusations for someone who has insulted ME! YOU are the one who has threatened to find me and come after me, etc. YOU are the one who cannot take criticism well, YOU are the one who can’t seem to get past bad reviews. YOU are the one who has made it a point to make nasty comments towards all of the bad reviews. I told YOU to come and find me, as YOU were so determined to do so. In case YOU haven’t heard of the Constitution — I choose to exercise my freedom of speech right and that is exactly what I did while reviewing your store AND will continue to do. I am not the only one who has received bad service — Are YOU going to «sue» them also? I am not afraid of your threats. As long as you make your stupid comments, I am going to give my rebuttal. YOU are such a joke!

The reason I wrote the review was to alert customers of how unsanitary this salon is, so I don’t appreciate the owner trying to make this about anything but that. I have been to the DR. 5 times already and have been on 4 prescriptions and cannot get rid of the nail infection this dirty salon gave me. I am still in pain right now, this has been a major time and money problem they have created for me. I DID notice they DON“T have any liners and I DID notice they DON“T sanitize their tools — The owner knows it and I know it! They have a physical sanitizer, yes, but were using it to warm up the towels! They used the same tools they just finished using on me after a quick rinse! I observed everything they were doing instead of playing on my phone like most people there. I will post a picture of my infected nail so customers can see how dirty this salon is and to stay away! If they are going to conduct their business in a way that harms customers, and break their responsibility to maintaining health then they in fact do not deserve to be in business!

This place SUCKS! They have children doing manicures and the guy who did my nails was totally creepy — he kept staring up at me… Eww! I wondered if he had a licence, because he did such a horrible job! ZERO STARS for this sucky place!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Diva Nails! I’ve been coming here for pedicures and manicures since they opened which was a long time ago at least 6 years ago. They take there time to make sure your nails are perfect! They really do have the BEST pedicures I have ever had. The massage is nice and long… just when you think they are done they will grab more lotion or oil to massage in. It really is the best and most relaxing pedicures around. Once in a while I will get a pedicure when I’m not in the area or if I have a gift card to a different place and I always get so upset that I wasted time and money on a crappy pedicure and wish I would have gone to diva… Victor is my favorite and is such a perfectionist!

I’m not sure what happened with the negative reviews, but I had a great experience at Diva Nails.
On a Sunday afternoon, my husband and I wanted to get pedicures (he likes having his feet and legs massaged). Unfortunately, nearly every place we went to was closed. Luckily, Orange County is littered with nail salons so we finally stumbled upon Diva Nails, which was open.
We were seated and served right away. I will say the water in my foot bath was kinda cold, but it didn’t really bother me. The people working on our nails did a great job and I was satisfied. I didn’t get acrylics done, just clipped & painted.
Lastly, I have to mention how nice and QUIET the place was! The workers weren’t constantly chattering and laughing with each other, the TV was on mute, it was so relaxing. I really appreciated that. Sure, the décor could be improved and the spa chairs are kinda old, but I had a good experience overall.

I am glad I read the reviews AFTER I went! I never would have darkened their doorstep knowing what other Unilocalers thought — I trust you!
I was in the neighborhood on Christmas Eve and was in real need of a pedicure. I had never even seen this place before nor do I frequent the shopping center… My usual spot across the street was closed. I liked them. They are a hard-​working, polite family. It was a very nice, long pedicure and I will definitely go back… Here are the pros:
* There is none of that offending, back-​and-​forth chatter going on around you.
* It is clean
*The T.V. was on the sound was off. I really appreciate the peace and quiet when I wish to read.
*My pedicure was $ 18! Is that 1990’s pricing? That’s $ 7.00 less than I usually pay.
The cons: I simply don’t have any to report.
I sent my dear friend and she has not stopped raving about her mani/​pedi ($ 28 WOW)
I mean it when I tell you that over the 6 years I have lived in Mission, I have been to every nail salon looking for the right balance of quality, cleanliness and QUIET! This is it my friends. Ask for Julia or her Mom.

Clean and lots of natural lighting. But I agree with the other Unilocaler who commented on the poor job of painting (toe)nails. The actual pedicure itself was good (not great), but the spa chair is a little aged so the kneading/​rolling might poke you in the back and hurt if you’re sensitive — definitely not that relaxing if you feel poked and prodded.
Also when I paid, I was informed of the pedicure price then was asked «how much do you want to put on the card?», implying that a tip was assumed. When I told her how much, she seems to have charged me $ 1 more. Either she decided how much to tip herself or didn’t inform me of the $ 1 surcharge that some places charge (although this is against terms of service too). Asking/​implying for a tip is a HUGE dealbreaker for me. It instantly makes me want to gives a person less or none at all because I think it’s downright rude.
Overall not impressed. Maybe I’m spoiled by my $ 14 pedicures with amazing service in my old neighborhood, but for $ 18 my expectations where higher. My search for a great and reasonably priced pedicure continues…

This place is next door to the Domino’s Pizza on La Paz.
TERRIBLE! The people were decent enough, but my rating is solely on the quality of the work. I got a pedicure ($ 18) and a full set of white-​tip nails ($ 25). Two different men worked on me.
Fingernails — the acrylic was SO THICK! I had to ask over and over — would you please file this down and please fix this and that, etc etc. I even had to point out that he didn’t work on my cuticles at all so he did that afterwards. That was a first for me. Ugh.
My nails have multiple ridges and in short — I am NOT happy with how things turned out. One hand looks different from the other as far as the nails. For instance, they are different thicknesses in the acrylic and some nails are really wide while others are narrow. I even had to ask over and over to clean up the job underneath my nails.
Toenails — when I leaned down to inspect, I had nail polish all over my fricken toes and cuticles! I asked — are you done? He said yes. I said someone needs to fix this. So a lady came over and had to practically redo them, only to do a pretty subpar job. Again there was polish on my cuticles and I’m sitting here thinking «wtf».
My loofah/​scrub job was also a joke. It went really quickly and he used some foot file rather than the regular block loofah they use.
I’m never going back. Big 1 star, too bad zero stars isn’t an option because if it were, that’s what I’d give it.

I love this little nail salon. Its such the polar opposite of Happy Nails where its a sweatshop! Diva Nails is relaxing, small and they put rose petals in your spa pedicure bath. They also have pleny of gossip-​rag magazines which are fun to read!
