Solano At Miramar Apartments

Solano at miramar where to start… First let’s start off by the parking sucks they will boot and ticket your car even if your in the system but your tag falls off the rear view mirror. Not only is the parking beyond ridiculous the valet trash company they come when they want to and some nights your left with trash because they don’t pick it up. When they don’t pick up trash they expect you to bring your trash back inside when it’s their jobs to pick up my trash! I pay $ 25 month for valet trash you think they would do the job rain sleet or snow! Even though we don’t get snow how can you not pick up in the rain when this is your job! Also neighbors complain about me having a dog well this is a pet friendly community of you guys don’t like dogs go somewhere where it’s not so pet friendly. My dog does not bother anyone he is the most lovable dog would ever meet and the complaints from neighbors is out of hand. You should be happy my dog is protecting the building just like when our building was getting robbed and my dog started barking they ran off at 2am in the morning. Also not only our building they targeted I’ve also seen cars sitting in cinder blocks with no wheels what so ever. This complex has security but where are they when they are needed. The gate let’s as many cars as possible threw which is completely unsafe for my children to play outside unattended at the age of 10years and 12 years old. I have only lived here for 5 short months and we have been looking for better community that is actually worth our money and time. I should not have to live in a stressful environment wondering if my trash will be picked up, wondering if robbers, thieves, or even shooter come into our neighborhood due to poor staff and security.

We have to publish our happiness to be part of the Solano at Miramar family. Only we took a month living in the complex and has been the best choice. michael prada thanks, jose, barbara, (office staff) and thanks to all for making our Christmas party a special day. Our 4 year old daughter every day thanking us for our new home, and this enchanted us more, to see her happy face. It was a beautiful day, the day of the party and gave us the opportunity to meet several of the residents. Big hug and Happy Holidays !!!

We moved out of Solano after just a few months. As I said in my last review, the amenities are outstanding. Also, the maintenance department is very responsive for both large or small requests. The buildings look nice but the sales team at Solano have plastered ads everywhere so it’s been ruined by cheesy banners, balloons, etc.
Secondly, it’s not the safest neighborhood. There have been a few instances of police squad cars coming in with lights and sirens on. There are some sketchy people that come in and out of the gates. I’m not even sure that they live there.
Last but not least, with the exception of one or two employees, the staff here is absolutely rude and unprofessional. That was the last straw for me. We broke our lease early and never looked back.

I was considering to move here but with all the bad reviews and NO parking and ticketing. I PASS!

Been living there for 8 months. The staff at the leasing office has no customer service no professionalism. The garbage dumps over flows and it smells all the way to the apartment. The valley garbage pick up is a joke they come whenever they want sometimes my garbage is out and I have to take it out my self. The $$$$ you pay for this apartment is not worth it. Look for an apartment somewhere else, like the apartments across the street. Can’t wait to move out.

I went today to visit this commumuty, Diana in the office was very helpful and friendly. The parking to visit the leasing office was horrible. The community look nice & quiet but there no parking for visitors in the townhouses area. Buuuuu … That’s why I’m not choosing this community to live … All the rest is beautiful!

I have a 2-​car garage. My garage is being used for storage. You know, I store things in the garage (novel idea, I know, try it, it works. I’m pretty excited about it, too).
The driveway in front of the 2-​car garage only fits one car (blame the architect, no, really, blame the architect, it’s an incredibly inconvenient design idea).
With my garage being used as storage, and only 1 car fitting outside of the garage, my other car is parked in the spaces on the side of the building over by where it says «Guest Parking».
Now, before you get all righteous on me and tell me to follow the rules note this:
THERE IS NO WHERE ELSE TO PARK THE CAR. NO. WHERE. ELSE. TO. PARK. THE. CAR.
Incase you missed the last sentence, I said: THERE IS NO WHERE ELSE TO PARK THE CAR.
So, at first I get a warning. «don’t park here, it’s for guests only». I look around. There are at least 20 spots marked visitors. Lots of empty spots, you know, for visitors. And, also, LOTS, I mean, at LEAST 5 other cars that I see there every day.
Hmm, the same visitors, every day? No. People who live here, who also have problems with parking.
From the Lease, dated: February 16, 2015
21. PARKING.
We may regulate the time, manner, and place of parking cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, boats, trailers, recreational vehicles, and storage devices by anyone. We may have unauthorized or illegally parked vehicles towed under an appropriate statute. A vehicle is unauthorized or illegally parked in the apartment community if it:
(1) has a flat tire or other condition rendering it inoperable; or (2) is on jacks, blocks or has wheel (s) missing; or
— READ THAT AGAIN, if you get a flat tire, you are in violation. If your tire goes flat at night, you are in violation. This is a nice idea, you go away on a 10-​day honeymoon, your tire goes flat, and you are in violation. Lovely. Thankfully, they cant tell if your battery went dead, or you’d be in violation, too.
(3) has no current license or no current inspection sticker; or (4) takes up more than one parking space; or
(5) belongs to a resident or occupant who has surrendered or abandoned the apartment; or
(6) is parked in a marked handicap space without the legally required handicap insignia; or
(7) is parked in space marked for manager, staff, or guest at the office;
— READ THAT AGAIN: «GUEST AT THE OFFICE». ok, that’s pretty clear, blocking the business from doing new business is a no-​no. Ok, got it. But, what about those 20 parking spaces on the side of the building?
or (8) blocks another vehicle from exiting; or
(9) is parked in a fire lane or designated «no parking» area; or
(10) is parked in a space marked for other resident (s) or unit (s); or
(11) is parked on the grass, sidewalk, or patio; or
(12) blocks garbage trucks from access to a dumpster.
Oh, lookie here, the parking regulations in the LEASE are done. Nothing about parking in guest spaces, eh? Interesting.
So, uh, WHY DID I GET A TICKET???
Here’s the reason why: Revenue generation, based on arbitrary, irrefutable rules, that are NOT written into the lease contract.
So, want to live here? Make sure you abide all those rules that are not written into the lease agreement. Which ones you ask? Exactly.

This is poor excuse for an apartment complex. There is no parking for family or friends to come visit if you park on there street they will boot your car even if you live there nobody cares about it they charge you $ 65.00 every time and the management loves it because it generates extra income for them. The apartments are old and full of rats and roaches STAY AWAY ! Trust me they are several better apartments in the area.

I was considering this as a potential place to live until they LOCKED ME IN FOR 30 MINUTES in a cramped, little hallway while we were supposedly waiting for a leasing agent who never came. I made an appointment the day before to see some of the units available for rent. The girl who greeted us said that we had to wait for another leasing agent to come by because she had to show an apartment to another potential renter. This would have made sense if she had decided to lock the entire leasing office and not the tiny hallway that we were stuffed into. The scenario seemed all the more strange when I saw numerous people walk in and out of the leasing office for the next 30 minutes, some of whom seemed perplexed as to why we were in a little hallway that neither they could enter nor we could leave from. I must also note that the little twat who locked us in was IN THE OFFICE THE WHOLE TIME. We knocked on the doors multiple times, but our pleas fell on deaf ears apparently.
I had to escape through the gym, which was unlocked, and then through the restroom area. The ladies bathroom looked nice at first glance, but considering that the locks on the stalls were all broken, dirt and papers were all over the sink and floor and that there was toilet paper in only one of several stalls makes me think that this apartment complex has SERIOUS maintenance issues.
We finally left the building through a door next to the restroom area that looked like it was broken. My husband noted that there were several doors around the complex that had bulges and marks on them, as if someone had tried to break the door.
Overall, the Solano looks like they do a superficial paint job to make the grounds look nice, but do a piss-​poor job in both maintenance and management. I have never had such low-​class leasing agents in my life tend to me, and for the rent that this complex charges and amenities they offer, I would expect much more.

Please heed my advice. DO NOT RENT HERE. The outward appearance of the grounds do not make up for the mediocre apartments and terrible office staff. There are two office members who are very helpful, but the good does not outweigh the bad in this case. Solano will show you all of the beautiful fun amenities they have to offer, but what they fail to say is that they will make it absolutely AS HARD AS THEY CAN, next to impossible, to use these amenities. And what they charge for rent is just ridiculous to pay that much and still be treated like someone who wandered into the office off of the street. Absolutely zero customer service.
If you want to overpay for a mediocre (cheap berber carpet laid on a concrete floor with the concrete clearly visible around the edges– of course they will show you a wood floor unit on tour though) apartment that has pretty landscaping on the outside, has terrible parking, terrible office staff– including the «manager», and amenities that are so hard to use they might as well not even be a selling point then rent here.
If not and you are genuinely looking for a nice living COMMUNITY where you are treated with respect please please don’t move here. You will be miserable.

nice place to live, if you can get a lake side apartment

So we lived in these apartments for 2 years and liked it for the first year and a half. I gave it 4 stars because I liked living there for the majority of the time I lived there.
When we first moved in, it was new, just opened a year before. It was clean, they allowed pets and was quiet. My ultimate favorite thing, their maintenance. If you call them, they will come. Seriously, if you called in the morning to complain of a mark on the wall that needs to be repainted, a hole in the wall from a door knob, or a new screen door that needed to be replaced because I happen to walk through it one day, whoops… chances are they will be there to fix it that day. The maintenance staff are super nice.
About the last 6 months, it really started to get bad. It seemed that there was a lot more noise than normal. We had some neighbors that would hang out on the steps. They would be so loud with their talking, singing and whatever else they did out there. Unfortunately, there was no one to call to make any complaints. I had called the office and made a complaint, but nothing was done.
We had a lot of problems with people speeding through the parking lot, or blasting their music super loud as they drove by. Wished they had some sort of night time security to stop all the riff raff.
When it came close to our lease, we had to just make a decision to get out. If anyone was considering moving to this complex, I would highly recommend moving to a particular apartment towards the back, stay far away from the main traffic within the complex.
