When you order a meal here you can rest assure that it is homemade to order, prepared with real ingredients in large portions at reasonable prices. We specialize in good old fashion diner food with a Mediterranean edge, centered on offering healthy alternatives as well. Most of all we carry many Italian delights like homemade Lasagna and a wide variety of Greek food, such as the Gyro Sandwich or Platter, Pasticcio, Greek Salad, and Spanakopita.
History
Established in 1986.
Opened in July of 1986 by George & Anna Marie, who are not only the owners but the main operators and chefs. George was born and raised in Chania, Crete, Greece, where he started his culinary career by owning his own restaurant at the age of 18, and continuing his education as the #2 Chef for the Greek Army base, feeding 1,000 soldiers everyday. As George made his way to America, he completed 3 Chef certifications here in South Florida and after marrying Anna Marie they opened up the Plaza Diner. Anna Marie was born and raised in Long Island, NY but has a strong Italian upbringing, as both of her parents were immigrants from Reggio Calabria, Italy. This is a family restaurant, ran by George, Anna, and their daughters everyday of the year.

Manager
Born and raised in South Florida known to everyone that walks in the Plaza Diner. Catharina, or Nina as is the nickname everyone knows her by, has been the heart and soul of this place ever since she was a baby. Starting out by entertaining the guests in her young years, climbing the business ladder starting out as the busgirl, dishwasher, kitchen assistant, phone operator, cashier, waitress, delivery person, cook, manager, to now running the entire place side by side with George.
