Danggg this place was incredible! My boyfriend and I got malts. They were super busy, so the malts took about 10mins to make, but that was no problem by us! Lots of fun old photos to look at on the walls and the service was super friendly! I got the banana chocolate malt and he got the butterscotch fudge malt. Both were super good, and definitely worth the $ 5 each for a full size malt! These were quite possibly the best malts I’ve ever had, and I would love to have more! I’ll definitely be back sometime.

Last time we go to Snuffy’s — at least in Wayzata/Minnetonka. Drove down there on a Saturday night and walk in and wait a good 5 minutes as the staff ignores us as time is ticking to when they close at 9(on a Saturday). Finally once the clock literally hits 9:00, one employee rudely just goes«we’re closed». We then asked if we could get just a malt to go — as they were finishing up one full to go meal for someone else. The manager finally chimes in that«they’re closed» after he ran past us in the entry to bring someone their sunglasses, where we specifically asked him«still open?» The staff clearly waited and ignored us until they were off the clock to the second and then rudely told us we’re out of luck. I’d be ok with them being closed, if not for the waiting and if round us, keeping he door open even after we left, horribly rude employees(rude besides the whole blatantly ignoring us), but not this. Absolutely can say I will never go to Snuffy’s again after this. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Hey, not everyplace is a fancy restaurant, worthy of articles in magazines. Some places just are what they are. That’s Snuffy’s. Nothing fancy but good food. I had a Snuffy’s burger, fries, and a vanilla malt. The malt was awesome. I appreciate that they use malt powder(because without it, it’s just a shake) and also that they offer half portions. It was delicious. The fries were average. Nothing special but I enjoyed them. The hamburger was really good. Definitely a diner burger on a toasted bun with the fixings. It hit the spot. Atmosphere was like you’d expect — ‘50s malt shop theme, vinyl booths and tables. The service was friendly and quick. It is what it is and what it is is yummy. That’s all.

Snuffy’s is exactly what you’d think it would be. An old fashioned burger and malt shop. If you are picky or expecting fine cuisine, go elsewhere. The malts are delicious. The food can be a little greasy. It’s also loud and boisterous in there with kids at most of the tables. Like I said, it is what is and it’s spot on if you are looking to load the kids in the car for burgers and fries.

feels like you’ve been transported back in time to the shake shops of the 50s! The service was delightful and our food came pretty fast. The food was exactly what you’d expect from a 50s burger joint– pretty simple and a little greasy but overall very tasty. The malt was awesome, I got a coffee malt and a bacon cheeseburger and was happy with both. Only complaint is that it’s a little pricey for the quality of food and the burgers don’t come with fries so you’re spending even more money on that.

Giving 2 stars because service was great! My spouse and I came in this evening. We split a shake, each had a cheese burger and split an order of fries. The shake was great. The burgers were greasy and way under done. The fries were soft, undercooked and not crispy. We weren’t impressed at all. Why would I come all the way to your restaurant when I can cook this food better than your«cooks»? After an hour or two of leaving the restaurant my spouse and I both got horrible stomach aches that followed frequent trips to the bathroom. We had to have gotten the food poisoning from the kitchen. Food not properly kept cold or one of those teenagers not washing their hands throughly. Losing more customers Snuffys.

Adequate tasting burgers/fries and malts but nothing special. Food is served in plastic bins with paper — which was disappointing. Very«cafeteria» feeling. I was turned off mostly by the lack of cleanliness. Everything had a slight feeling of grease to it from the floors to the tables. I suggest closing for a few days and spraying down the place with a degreaser.

Always enjoyed coming here for a burger and malt. But have to say, never again will we go during the week between 5 – 6. It was a madhouse, parents don’t control their kids, they climb all over the place, and the high pitched screaming was non stop. It made for the worst experience ever. Couldn’t enjoy the meal, we ended up getting ‘to go’ containers and leaving. Giving it 3 stars, the food is still good and so are the malts.

I grew up going to this place all the time for burgers and malts. When you walk in it’s like you have been teleported to a burger and malt shop from two generations ago. The service is quick and simple. The malts are always delicious. I had the seasonal peppermint white chocolate one today and the jalapeño bacon blue cheese burger. The bacon and blue cheese complimented each other nicely. I have become more fond of a thicker medium to medium rare burger, and I think they cook all theirs well. They aren’t dry though, but I would have like it juicier. Tuesday’s from 2 – 4 they have specials at greatly reduced prices, but I missed it by an hour. :( This place will always have a place in my heart, but I’d go for the malts and just happen to get a burger. If all you’re jonesing for a burger, there are probably better options.

service is terrible. after waiting at my table for over 15 minutes without even an acknowledgement from the waitress, i complained to the young lady who was the manager on duty. she stated they were busy. clearly too busy to execute the time honored approach of stopping at the table one of the six times they passed by to acknowledge our presence!!! clueless in minnetonka!!!

Unless they figure out what a breakfast menu should be, stay away. They don’t have traditional breakfast items like pancakes, french toast etc. The menu consists of egg sandwiches basically. The hash browns were the frozen patty type, the bacon were the smallest excuse(and not good either) for bacon I have ever seen. The toast was not buttered with it on the side. The scrambled eggs were not scrambled. I could go on but you get the picture. On top of that it was on the high side for the pricing also. Spare yourself and wait until they decide if they are in the breakfast business or not.

I want to like this place, I really do. I love malts, and I love burgers, but I just can’t give it a thumbs up. The service is quick, and the half malts are just the right size for your meal, and I LOVE the old time music selection they have going(think Don McClean’s American Pie). The first time I went I got the cherry chocolate malt, and I was rather disappointed. It tasted a bit like dimetap cough syrup. I didn’t even finish it. The burgers also tasted mildly of antiseptic. I thought it might be just the poor malt flavor carrying over, so I went back a second time. This time I got the fudge scotchie malt, a mixture of butterscotch and fudge, and that was much better, although still not anything to write home about. The burgers had that same taste again. Despite the lovely ambiance and great service, I don’t think I’ll be back. The food disappoints.

Solid burgers and fries. Went for lunch. Had a bacon cheeseburger. It was totally adequate. Fries were good and a large portion for the 2 of us. I have one complaint-I got a full size malt. My coworker got a ½. They were the exact same size. Oh well… I am fat enough I guess…

We’ve been here a few times and have not been disappointed. The food is a bit on the greasy side, but I kind of expected that, so not sure why somebody else complained about that. They don’t advertise themselves as a healthy restaurant. Their Philly Beef sandwich was the only thing I was a bit disappointed in from our several visits. The bread it came on was way too soft and the thing kept falling apart. The ham and grilled cheese sandwich is amazing, the malts are great, love the dipping sauces, the onion rings are pretty good. It’s a bit small inside, but all of the staff are super friendly and good at their jobs. This remains one of our favorite malt shop style restaurants.

We live nearby so come here probably once a month. The free burger coupons make it worth it! The Snuffy burger with cheddar is my favorite. Toasted bun and pickles, lettuce, tomato, and bacon = mmmmmmm. That + split a large malt is all I need. 4 stars because it’s just inconsistent sometimes… But not surprising bc if you look at who’s making the food, it’s usually a bunch of teenagers :) it’s a great old school-ish place so it hasn’t stopped us from going back! It’s on our list of places to grab food to go when nobody feels like cooking!

I try not to frequent that often… Why? Because Snuffy’s is ridiculously good! Snuffy’s has that 50’s feel with the red booths. This place is busy and on the weekends plan on waiting. The service is always good. This is a great place to bring your kids. I crave their malts. They just know how to make them right, and they completely understand what you mean when you say extra thick! The burgers, fries, and onion rings are wonderful! The perfect amount of grease. I also love the chili and chicken noodle soup(when I’m trying not to over indulge). Love the neighborhood feel. Plenty of parking too.

I ordered a bison burger and a chocolate malt — both were absolutely fantastic! This place just looks and feels like it probably did 50 years ago but with nice modern fittings. The restaurant is pretty clean and service was not to fast or slow, just right. The waitress recommended she pour the malt for me too — I’m glad she did as there was a definite skill to our and the person sitting behind me opted not to and suffered the consequences. The burger was juicy and tender. I like mine medium done and this was just right. It came with some nice fries too. The malt was unsurprisingly the best part though. Really thick and creamy and full of flavor. Definitely worth coming back for again. This place deserves at least 5 stars in my opinion. The food was great, service was just as good and overall it was a nice place to enjoy some food.

Not my favorite location. Quite crowded and the service wasn’t as great as the location in St. Paul by Energy Park. The food is pretty much the same, but the heart isn’t there.

Sister’s in law took us here for burgers and shakes/malts. All I can say is split the shake or have nothing else to eat! They were so good. I had chocholate banana. Burger was good, homemade fries.

I took a couple of the kids, we had burgers and fries and malts and it was awesome. I actually had the breaded chicken sandwich which was great. The décor is old, run down, and totally appropriate given the menu and the pricing. Brought bake memories of places we’d go as kids. Don’t change a thing, well except the bathrooms could use a little remodeling… and cleaning. The malts were awesome and huge. Definitely will go back.
