Description

Specialties

I offer short term counseling or longer term psychotherapy to individuals, couples (straight and same sex) or families who are experiencing difficulty in relationships.

I work with individuals who are trying to heal from verbal, emotional, physical or sexual violence, as well as those suffering from anxiety, depression, experiencing life transition or grief issues.

History

Established in 2004.

My interest in counseling and psychotherapy arose out of my previous profession as a Family Law Attorney. Many of my clients were in need of someone other than family and friends to help them address their deep feelings, make decisions on their life’s journey and help them heal through the process of divorce. When I knew that I was unable to provide this assistance as an attorney, I decided to make a career change and received a Masters Degree in order to work with clients in a different and more productive way.

I believe it is a courageous act to seek out therapy to begin the process of becoming aware of one’s thoughts, feelings and how these affect behavior and choice.
