Great place for anything from sandwiches to fondue. Went for an early dinner one night with a friend and had a great veggie burger. Next time, my sister and I tried an appetizer and the chocolate fondue. Very good! Cool atmosphere too, which makes it perfect for a date. Note: Wait to dip your poundcake into the chocolate fondue until all the alcohol has burned orr. Otherwise, that poundcake becomes a sponge for all that Kirsch! I thought my sister was going to pass out.

They have good free live jazz bands on many nights. This place is casual, but fancy, particularly for a NE bar.

The Times is okay. Their fondue is great, but I’ve had mixed experiences with the rest of the menu. The service is also spotty. I feel treated like a queen when I sit at the bar on the dining room side and share fondue with a friend while sipping a perfect martini, but the dining room service always seems a little off.

I arrived at the times about 1pm on a weekday — there were two other occupied tables, and two people at the bar(in a space that seats maybe 100?). If we hadn’t heard such rave reviews about the place, we totally would have walked across the street to one of the more populated restaurants. The food itself was not bad — they have a small lunch menu and happy hour menu with discounted prices that weren’t bad. My half sandwich, cup of soup was ~$ 8. The service was just awful. One server was working the room(which means exactly 8 people). It took us over hour from the time we sat down to the time we paid the bill. In an empty restaurant, ordering from the ‘lunch’ menu. I was pretty disappointed, but I think the other two tables may have been regulars /friends of the owner, so maybe the server was just not up to his normal level of service. Maybe it’s better for dinner.

I went here for brunch this morning and it was pretty disappointing. I was excited because they call it the Jazz brunch but there wasn’t too much Jazz involved other than what they were playing on the radio. Also, the food wasn’t very good either. It seemed like they didn’t prepare many of the things fresh which was kind of a let down. So based on other reviews it looks like I have to go back for the fondue, but I don’t think so…

I’ve been here several times for the fondue. So good. I love this place so much that I seriously considered moving from Chicago to Minneapolis … until I had my first taste of a MN winter — Holy Crap! I think I’ll just visit … alot. 5 stars for fabulous service, charming atmosphere, great food and soothing background tunes. Love it.

This place has a lot of things in a cool environment. Jazz, burgers, brunch, and fondue. Not too many places run the gambit like that.

the BEST wings in town. Grilled and served with a dijon which i usually dislike. Goes awesome with these! Fun atmosphere at night. Random music. Hate bluegrass but it’s entirely fun and amuzing to watch. Afterward, head downstairs to another unique experience at Jitters.
