Great food, great staff but sometimes the service is slow. Still worth it. It’s hard to name a favorite here as I have yet to be disappointed, but if I had to recommend just one, I would have to suggest the Rice, Rice Baby. I have never had a better fried rice. Despite the hit or miss service, the food is always consistent.

Fun atmosphere– Alice-in-Wonderland like. If you like different flavors and combinations, eat here. It’s a foodie place. Great cocktails and beer list. They also have«adult sodas.» We had 3 dishes: phat noodles(great dish, big enough for a persons meal), mini tacos(sweeter than I like) and the rice dish(rice, rice, baby) which was the best out of the dishes. We will go back again!

We visited this joint last night and couldn’t believe how good it was. We got the pork jowl lettuce wraps, which were fresh, rich, and had just a little heat from the gochujang. We also got the japchae, which was nice, but less flavorful than the other items at our table. The best by far, was the poutine. It had a deeply curry-flavored gravy, a spicy chipotle aioli, a few curds, and some crispy fries. I am a lover of all things poutine, but this one was the best I’ve ever had. I was seriously considering licking the bowl, but as we were in public I abstained. We finished our meal with the strawberries and cream bun, which, to a non-dessert-lover, was the perfect end to our meal. Not too sweet, varied textures, and reminiscent of strawberry short cake, it was a great way to end our time at The Rabbit Hole.

The food here is delicious, but after trying out Rabbit Hole twice I feel as though it is a good new restaurant but not somewhere one could or should eat weekly. I’ve had the Harold and Kumar poutine, Hot Tail(crispy pig tail), Rice Rice Baby(brisket, kimchi, fried rice), and the octopus. All are so flavorful and hit the spot; you really can’t go wrong. However, I can’t see coming back often because the food is very rich and overwhelming to my senses. When I leave, I’m happy but sluggish. If you keep Rabbit Hole in mind as a treat, you’ll love it. If you go back too soon after your first visit(like I did) you may want to take a break before making your next venture to the dimly lit restaurant in Midtown Global Market.

As skeptical as I am with fusion food, this place is awesome. I already can’t wait to go back so I can try more things from the menu. I’ve been here twice, once for a regular dinner, and another time for their special brunch. For dinner, I got the Appa burger(which means Father burger) which was so on point! It had a fried egg in it, and eggs are the best so that won over my belly. The kimchi aioli was also on point. I was expecting it to taste like poop and overwhelm the burger, but no, it complemented everything on the burger well. When I went for their special brunch, sadly I went later and they were out of the chicken and waffles, so I got the Yuk Gae Jang which was BOOOOOOOMB. And made me please I couldn’t get the chicken and waffles. This was actually one of the favorite stews from when I lived in Korea and Rabbit Hole really nailed it. It’s a beef stew with bean sprouts, egg, mushroom and leek. It’s super flavorful with a touch of spice. I am not one to repeat restaurants, but I think this one is worth trying out over and over again. Their special Sunday brunches will keep me coming back. Along with the regular tasty food and overpriced soju.

I love the concept and the look of location and the effort employed to carry the theme of Korean fusion throughout the menu. One of the greatest downfalls is when enjoying the shareable with friends is that much of the oil and bases seem to carry over to every dish and consequently each and every dish after your first two start tasting similar. Currently my two favorite items on the menu are«Spice, Rice, and Everything Nice.» And«Appa»

Let’s start with the positives. This place has THE best poutine I have ever had. It came with a pork curry gravy sauce that was super rich but oh so good. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I also really loved the Rice Rice Baby(fried rice with beef brisket and bacon, yum) and Peurquitos(sp?), the pork braised tacos. Our server Shannon was very friendly and made some great recommendations for our group of four. She even reminded us to validate our parking! Negatives? There aren’t many. The food comes out really fast, so we kind of felt rushed through the experience, but we ordered more drinks to make up for it. Also, we witnessed the manager of this place chewing out one of her employees while we were eating: /Overall though, it was a pretty good experience, and we will definitely be back!

Our favorite restaurant in Minneapolis. This place is inventive and the dishes well executed. We went to town ordering. We loved the bangkok noodles, the van dame good brussell sprouts and omg the puercitos. They were fantastic. For dessert we had the hotteuk. They describe it as a korean pancake but it’d say it’s more like a little bundt cake with dulce de leche covering it. It was amazing. You must get dessert here. The drinks were very interesting and very good! Definitely make it out here if you’re around Minneapolis.

OMG! Best Korean Fusion ever. and the Burger is hands down. Enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Small menu that works in their favor. One of a kind interior. definitely worth visiting again.

The waitress was kind, and the environment was very hip and intimate. The food however was very pretentious. Bibimbop with a slice of pork belly, some veggies and a ton of rice. It was maybe 75% rice. Aint nobody got time for that much rice. Same goes for the other variety of bibimbops. The harold and kumar has an interesting poutine variation; a bit curryish and a nice runny egg on top. Try-hard variations on korean meals, not worth the money.

Clearly I have different expectations or a wicked different experience while dining at The Rabbit Hole… perhaps this is a recent thing that happened??? But here goes… My girlfriend and I were in the area and decided to hit Midtown Global, it had been a few months and she recommended we hit up Rabbit Hole. I kept an open mind and Korean sounded great… even if it was fusion-eeyy. The décor is dark, with sawed in half tables nailed to the walls. The booths have high walls all around and provide a cozy feel. The menu is straight forward, including appetizers, bowls, burgers and sweets. We were hungry and ordered… * Spice, Rice, Everything Nice(rice bowl with soft crab) * Ma Belle(pork belly bowl) * Ahjumma(burger) The rice bowl with soft crab wasn’t bad, but here’s my grip… if you’re charging $ 15 for something, it should appear to be worth that much when it arrives. The crab was sliced small, deep fried and pretty hard to find in the dish; the flavor was decent(Habanero Oyster Sauce… enough said), but with only 5 or so bites… not seeing the value. The Ahjumma burger was very disappointing. I requested medium and it arrived well done; however, still juicy and a solid 6oz. The burger came with Chili Pepper Relish, Gruyère, Chipotle Coleslaw and Crispy Onions… put together between a thick bun; the entire ordeal fell apart after a single bite. The flavoring was bland at best… perhaps too much going on and an opportunity to simplify. Of everything we ordered, the Ma Belle came out ahead; a solid portion of pork belly to satisfy any hunger and sound presentation of ingredients; rice and pork on the bottom, with everything else displayed on top(ready to hit your senses); the poached egg was a solid addition for taste and texture. The service was top notch and creative angles to the typical dining experience; your water is served in a copper tea pot with small metal cups #unique. Where this establishment falls short is consistent flavoring across all dishes(and pricing); it’s a tough sell for the experienced and adventurous pallet when you can get authentic global foods 1000 feet around the corner for half the price.

I had a very different experience than previous reviewers, so maybe they took the advice and improved. I was with a group of 13 with reservations so we were seated promptly. Our server Joanne took our drinks once everyone got there, asking our names as she went. I ordered one of the teas and my companions got a variety of drinks. At the same time we put in our food orders. The food came out staggered but no one was left without food once the majority was served. My tea had been forgotten but JoAnne came around asking if everyone had their orders. I mentioned my tea and she got it right away. The food was quite good. My rapscallion was spicy with good amounts of shrimp and seasonings. I tried my friends beef Bop bowl which was tasty, but the spice was only at the bottom of the bowl. Sir Mixalot forgot to do his job. Overall I enjoyed this spot and if I can get the same server again it will be perfect.

I’ve been to Midtown Global Market a blilion times, but this was somehow my first — and definitely not last — time here! The décor is funky industrial wtih Korean accents, and the entire place is pretty dimly lit with cozy booths in nooks — which I loved. Service is VERY attentive and efficient, although maybe even too efficient? Bonus points for the check that comes in a tiny mailbox, but our server rushed it to us without even asking if we were done ordering or wanted dessert. No drinks for us except the strawberry milki(a Korean soda), which was strawberry-ish and… milky. Still great. My date and I ordered These Arms of Mine, a beautiful little octopus number, the Gene Bop Bowl(pork belly) for me, and the Ma Belle Bop Bowl(beef brisket) for him. Both of our bowls came with bok choy?, raw onion, a runny egg, a ton of pickled vegetables, and glorious kimchi over rice, and I couldn’t have been happier with my tender and fatty brisket, although I do wish the piece was a bit bigger. I’m totally coming back and ordering as many small plates as I can, plus dessert. Go to The Rabbit Hole for the great décor, if not even the mouthwatering food!

In how many ways can I say I love this place? Because it literally it now one of my top 5 places! All the reasons why: 1. Service is great! The owner of the place sat us down and we had such attentive service — our water was never half full! 2. AMAZINGFOOD! We got the Rice Rice baby which is a brisket kimchi fried rice and we also got the $ 5 tasting which was a pâté bahn mi bite! The best part, the burger aka goobers. The OMMA burger with that seared pork belly — i could eat it every day. The fries were also cut and fried SO well. Please come here — you won’t regret it!

Excited to try this place — stellar reviews here on Unilocal to start… Let’s start with the positive: the staff was excellent. They were really nice, attentive, and top notch. The food, however, was lacking. Had the bop dish… which was watery, lacked flavor. The brisket was rubbery and the egg was barely fried — more like poached and runny… Good ambiance and fun setting though… and so nice that parking was validated… which was totally appreciated!!! However, will not be back here for the food…

Fun spot, delicious food, and great prices! We got seated immediately and our server was very friendly. It is a smaller place and is sectioned off enough that you feel like you are in your own personal area. I did not order a drink but I would love to come back to try their cocktails! I ordered the Phat Noodles and they were amazing! They were under«To share or not to share» and I got it just for myself and ate it all! The sauce was delicious and it was pretty filling. I also tried the Rice Rice Baby, which I liked as well. It had more of a smokey flavor to it and was a decent sized serving. Most of these dishes were between $ 9-$ 14, which I thought was great! Note: They valid parking in the ramp up to 2(?) hours. Our waitress was very friendly and reminded us before we left so she could validate it!

This place is so cool and the food is so good that the first rule of Rabbit Hole should be that you don’t talk about Rabbit Hole. That should be the second rule too. The ambience of this place is industrial meets hipster multiplied by the meat packing district of NYC. The food is a happy blend of the tasty but fatty aspects of the East /meets the gluttonous and fat bellied aspects of the West. The emphasis is definitely on the TASTY and the FATTY. Check out the«Rice Rice Baby». It’s a fried rice dish with bacon, onion, scallions, kimchee and holy hell… It was AWESOME. I’m going to be thirsty for a week now though and the thought of eating any more grease makes me want to vom, but it was worth it. The same is true for the Van Damme Brussel Sprouts, the green beans and the Appa Burger. All of them incredibly /insanely tasty and delicious, all of them incredibly overly fatty and calorie-licious. God help me if I wasn’t driving and had a buzz on, I would have ordered everything on the menu in my easy-to-pervert-while-drunken state. There were Pork Belly Tacos(x3), Pork Belly something else… Lord, help me and my waistline related guilt. Drinks were cocktails and yes, get a cab, don’t drive. You need to try ALL of them. I had the Dark and Stormy, my wife had the Hang 10. I wanted to try the Dragon Slayer too. Wow. Basically you MUST try this place but you need to go the gym immediately before AND every day for a week afterwards to balance it out, or beat yourself with a riding crop — whatever gets you right with yourself. Not judging.

This is one of my favorite spots in MPLS! I’ve only been here twice, but I’ve gotten the omma both times! I’m a creature of habit and it’s hard to try something new when I’ve already found something so damn delicious. The burger and bread were delicious with 2 generous slabs of seared pork belly to seal it. The kimchi aioli filled in nicely with the burger and was great to dip the fries in. I tried my friends’ Spice Rice and Everything Nice as well as their Rice Rice baby. Life just got so much harder because I know I shouldn’t order all of these things everytime I go here. :( The somek style soju with asahi beer was the perfect pairing with the omma. The décor was great and I really liked the little mailbox that the check comes in. Kiendien recommended!

DISAPPOINTING! If you’re going to order a drink, alcohol or non-alcohol, you should call them and order it now, if you’re lucky it’ll be ready by the time you get there. Service is that awful. I was excited to try this place and recommended it to a friend who was having a birthday dinner. We had a group of 13. It took over 25 minutes for each drink order, even just beers, and water! We didn’t even order 13 drinks at a time, more like 1 to 3. I even asked the server if he remembered our orders. I asked twice. We pretty much gave up on refills. My boyfriend turned around and got a beer at the bar and got his drink faster. My friend across from me ordered a coke, and the damn thing never came at all. At the end of the meal the server came back and asked him what he had besides water… umm nothing you ass hat. The food was mixed. Everyone that had a burger enjoyed it. Everyone with no burger was underwhelmed. I had another friend who was one of the first to put in his order, which was a bop bowl, watch everyone else finish half their meals before his bowl came. Everyone’s food came out, even the stragglers that came in 15 minutes after him and ordered late had food. The bop bowl consisted of rice, and pretty much one small sliver of pork belly, there were 3 other exact orders of this bop bowl at the table and they all got theirs. They couldn’t put this 4th one together at the same time? We thought they forgot the order so we shared our meals, then it finally appeared. I had the spice, rice, and everything nice rice dish, and the hot tail. The rice dish had soft shell crab, but you couldn’t taste it because the dish was practically a bowl of hot sauce. I love hot sauce, I’ll put it on anything, but I don’t want to eat just a bowl of it. You can’t taste any of the delicate flavors of seafood in this dish. They need to ease up on the spice on this one. It was bad. The hot tail is a pigs tail. It was fried nicely, but very bland. Not worth the calories. The place is decorated nicely, it’s dark and modern asianish. You can also watch the chefs at work, that’s always cool. However, the bar chairs are horribly uncomfortable. They’re stiff and tiny. They discriminate against big booty people. Overall, this place is a joke. There’s plenty of other food options at midtown global market that aren’t overpriced. Plus you probably won’t die of thirst waiting on water somewhere else.

The Eggy Burger that I raved about no longer comes with the egg on top — which seems silly, both for the purpose of the name and the fact that I really think this made the burger chart-topping. However you can get it upon request. The brussel sprouts are good though not kick butt. I missed out on the grilled corn on the cob because it’s so popular they ran out early. The Dark & Stormy, made with house made ginger beer, is fantastic. I still really like the place… all the way down to the push-button at the table to call for your server.
