King Kong Hobbies is a family-​oriented hobby business located north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. We pride ourselves on customer service and satisfaction. Our experienced staff enjoy hobbies and actively participate in activities including off road racing, helicopter flying, instruction, (and destruction), IMAAC competition, and general fun flying. We also carry a variety of train supplies, plastic model cars, and planes. A portion of the store is set aside for general hobbies including paint-​by-​numbers, science and learning kits, telescopes, and a variety of other hobby and craft supplies.

Bought a blade 180qx HD rtf quad. Video camera did not work so I went back, they told me to try a new memory card and if that did not work contact the manufacturer. They did not seem to concerned with resolving my issue.
I called the manufacturer which asked for a photo copy of my reciept that’s when I noticed that the receipt was dated 2002, WTF ! Kind of fishy but the manufacturer sent out a new camera. The new camera arrived and also did not work. I give up. I learned my lesson. I should have done some research because this is a common issue with this quad.
Sorry I cannot recommend the blade 180qx or KK hobby.

I completely agree that the train department is severely lacking. It’s very obvious that this is a RC store, specifically RC airplanes.

They seem to have good airplane prices, but I came looking for the train stuff their website said they had. They have virtually no train merchandise and definitely did not have what I was looking for.
I will probably return here some day when I get back into RC airplanes though.

Nice, well organized shop in the northern part of the Twin Cities. I’ve had good luck finding parts for e-​flite helis and all other «standard» rc parts. Give them a visit.
