Nice store — wish I could say the same for the staff. Took a knitting class — just a group of knitters with a really nice expert who circulated. Owner also circulated. When I was making a purchase that same evening, the owner told me in a very rude way that I was not supposed to work on projects in my group that use yarn bought elsewhere. «This is how I make money» she said. I disagree — that is how you lose money from me. I never went back to the group and will never shop there.

I’ve been here many times over the years. Only during a few of them, have I been treated kindly. Those were the times I took a class with a teacher I’d never seen before or when the employee wasn’t one of the four original owners. Went again today. Barely a word was spoken by them, certainly nothing like«Hi» and definitely not anything like, «So, whatchya makin’?» or «Oh, what a sweet baby you have with you». The one who wound my yarn today took about 5 minutes — she said not one word. I stood there at the counter, she stood 12″ or so away, and NOTHING. It’s just there in the ether — this dark unwelcome feeling.(PS — There was no other customers shopping at the time. It’s not as though they were swamped or anything. I couldn’t be friendlier and they sure don’t mind taking my cash, but can hardly be bothered to eke out a ‘thank you’. I’ve had it with the self-righteousness or whatever it is. It’s like being in a high school cafeteria and while no one will come out and say it, I’m clearly not wanted at their table. Good riddance.

This is my favorite yarn shop. The Twin Cities certainly has a lot to choose from, which is fortunate. I love the vibe and feel here; no pressure, lots of comfy places to sit and work with fiber, very knowledgeable staff and customers. What I especially love about this shop is how many crafted models are available, so you can see how a yarn works up and how a pattern plays out. I look forward to being there, even if I’m not shopping.

Friendly and helpful staff, good selection, lots of examples, and a clearance section! It can get crowded when they have classes or knitting groups, but I’ve always managed to get around.

Great selection and diverse, not the biggest yarn shop — but they were friendly and helpful. Also had some interesting idea pieces around the shop. Located in a strip mall that has other crafty shops — such as a bead store Will definitely go back and this time make sure I have enough time to check out the other stores.
