K-9 & Kitty Kutters

Had my two long haired cats shaved into lions for the summer. They did a great job despite my mean kitty Teapot. The cats loved their cuts (And so did we!) We’ll definitely be back!

Megan does a top notch job and adds a personal touch to each grooming with bows, ties and dyes.

I consider my pets my children, and K9 Kitty Kutters are a place that I absolutely trust with my fur babies. Even when my cat is acting up, the staff are patient and understanding. They get my cat done in a reasonable time (unlike other groomers). My dog and cat both look great after going there, and this is definitely a place I recommend to friends.

We wouldn’t take our dogs anywhere else! We bring one of our dogs in regularly for grooming and one in just occasionally for de-​shedding. Neither dogs are stressed out when we pick them up, even our nervous dog does well which means a lot! They donate lots of time and talents to help foster dogs and dogs coming into rescue which adds points in our books! They make a good effort to give you a conveniently timed appointment, and have even offered to stay late for us to get our dog groomed. We really never plan to bring our pups to any other groomers! We totally trust them and you can tell they have passion for caring for dogs and cats!

My cat LOVES it there! Everyone is wonderful and is so caring and loving. I have had a hard time finding a place that will groom Fiona the way I want her to be groomed. We are not your average cut kind of household. Megan is always so awesome at trying new and original things. I cant wait to take Fiona back ! I would recommend this place to anyone, HANDS DOWN BEST PLACE I HAVE BEEN TO !!!

We are new to the area so this is our first groomer experience in the Twin Cities. Not terribly close to where we live, so I may keep looking, but Russell, who is new and super sweet, groomed our boy, who is an older dog. He was kind and caring and worked very hard; he used shears and was very caring and attentive to details. So I highly recommend! My only star off is for the place itself, which the groomers do not own. It really needs a major facelift and cleaning. It has a smell (probably because they do cats as well?) and the paint job is very old. So four stars for the folks who work there! If you are the owner, take care of your shop! The employees deserve it!

Highly recommend bringing your pet to K9. This place is a dog and people centered business. We have brought our English Setter here for years to get her hair and nails did. They are kind to nervous pets, support rescue animals, and are very flexible and accommodating about scheduling appointments. Always happy with the hair cut and very reasonable price.

It’s a Sunday and most dog grooming establishments are closed, but I decided to give K9 & Kitty Kutters a try for my dogs’ nail trims. $ 10 for nail trim or $ 15 for the nail filer/​grind/​sander. It was only us in the grooming place so we were serviced immediately. The gal was super friendly and accommodating. We brought in our french bulldog who was pretty well behaved, on the other hand our english bulldog was not thrilled with getting his nails groomed. He’s quite a large plum fella so every time he moved, he pretty much fell off the counter, so it would have been nice if they had large counters for the pets to sit on versus small grooming tray tables. Since he was not behaving I gave the gal the OK to either muzzle him or do what she needs to do to get his nails trimmed. But she was too nice and didn’t do either, in result I feel like my dog’s nails could have been groomed a little better. $ 30 for the service was a tad pricey no frills.
Let’s talk about the grooming facility — not impressed. It felt untidy, unclean and grimey; not organized at all. There’s hair, rust, and stains all over so I don’t know if I felt like it was quite hygenic?
Grooming comeback for my pups? I’ll probably try another place next time.

Megan does such a wonderful job on my 2 long haired cats! They can get pretty matted when they start shedding their winter coats and she cleans them up beautifully! I love the little poof of their tails when they get the lion cut! And she is so pleasant to work with! Super friendly and accommodating. Finding a good cat groomer is difficult and I would highly recommend her to everyone!

I stopped by to make an appointment for my shitzu, Larry. I had heard mixed reviews about this place but figured I’d give them a shot anyways. When I walked in the smell of cat urine was overwhelming. I mentioned it and was told that it was from a cat they had been grooming but I could see pee on some chairs in the waiting area, on the floor at the entrance and on the front counter. It was absolutely disgusting. The place in general was just dirty. There appeared to be bird poop all over as well. The people working there seemed nice but I decided NOT to leave my dog in such a dirty environment. Id recommend going somewhere else.

They are so sweet and professional here. If you live in this area and want to support local, do it here. Our dog gets a great cut, and he loves the staff.

My little rescue pom needed a grooming. Not only did she look good when she came out, she wasn’t clingy or high strung when I came to pick her up. Our groomer was Ell, but I’m certain any groomer here would take excellent care of your critter.
In addition to all of the above– the little pom (puppy mill rescue) actually flew right up a flight of steps on her very own. This was the first time in her life she didn’t struggle or have fear even getting up one little step on a stair case. Thank you Ell and thank you K9 and Kitty Kutters!

I like this place, and the people who run it. I took in a badly matted cat who was freaking before she got there. She was treated very well, and after the trauma of a two block ride home, was her very cheerful self as soon as she was home. Clearly, she was treated very kindly during her shaving, nail trimming, and bath. Cats usually don’t like any of these.

After not being able to contact my regular groomer that I used for my last dog, I selected K9 and I am so glad I did. Russell did a fantastic job with my 2 y.o. German Shepherd Dog, not only the quality of the groom, but how my dog reacted when I returned; she was happy to see me and wanted to go home, but she wasn’t frantic to get out of there, which tells me she was treated with respect. So very important.

This was our first time using a groomer, so I can’t really compare K-​9 & Kitty Cutters to others. Nor do I want to, because I can’t imagine wanting better service or a happier, smoother, cleaner dog than mine when they finished with him. Very pleased.

I wasn’t impressed with this place at all and we’ve gone a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt. My dog smells weird when we leave and he had nicks on his belly the last time. He also would have to stop and rub his bum on the ground every five minutes (I think from razor burn?). The shop itself looks not-​so-​clean and dismal. It’s a shame because I live nearby, but next time I’ll probably go somewhere else. Also, I think they let dogs out of their crates to play with each other which is a very unprofessional move — it is dangerous for the dogs and a lawsuit waiting to happen.
