JumperCable is an independent marketing firm based in Minneapolis. We started as a marketing strategy and planning shop but have grown to offer execution as well.

We choose to work with fewer than a dozen small and medium-​sized clients. Our clients tend to be specialty or similarly highly differentiated brands and we generally work directly with company owners.

JumperCable operates much like a general contractor. Once the marketing «blue prints» have been drawn-​up, we assemble the team with the right skills to bring a campaign to life. This model keeps costs to a minimum — allowing brands to focus their resources on their target audience, not agency overhead.

History

Established in 2010.

The founder of JumperCable Marketing has operated a successful marketing consultancy focused on medium and large clients (he cut his teeth leading the advertising for some of the largest brands in the U. S).

Almost by accident, his consultancy experimented with helping a handful of small and very small clients with their marketing. The results were so positive and dramatic that he decided to create a new company focused exclusively on this under-​served market. To successfully serve such small clients, an entirely new and radically more efficient approach would be needed.

Today, JumperCable’s unique business model allows small businesses to build the kind of sophisticated, affordable and effective marketing programs previously out of reach of small companies.

Twenty years spent shaping great American brands at some very talented agencies equip JumperCable’s founder, John Karlson with the know-​how to design effective, sophisticated marketing programs.

Two years as the CMO of a start-​up provide sufficient battlefield scars to know which tactics can grow a business both quickly and affordably. Hands-​on experience building websites, implementing search marketing, direct response and social media programs provides an an intimate understanding of how to best leverage these tools.
