Brandon Walter – State Farm Insurance Agent

My wife and I were on a monthly plan. $ 98.00 per month. In February my wife called, ordered and paid for six months of insurance. Received a call in June that my policy was canceled. They stated that my payment was for November through May. I paid them for February through August, six months. I after doing the math, they charged me $ 140.00 a month for 3 months and canceled the policy. I recommend going with someone who sells you what they tell you you are buying. Geico is $ 6.00 more per month but far less dishonest.

Oh man. I rally hate writing bad reviews. I feel like Unilocal is here to help spread the word about awesome local businesses you might not know about otherwise. For Brandon Walter, though, I’m totally happy to break my quasi-​rule.
It starts out with something really simple: paperless billing. I have signed up for it seemingly umpteen times to no avail. Over the phone, I confirmed that their system says I should be on paperless but for some reason it hasn’t been in effect. I still get four **** statements every month. It’s just plain annoying.
Then, the real problem: Brandon Walter. The customer service is the worst I’ve ever received, I think. My family has been with this agency before Brandon even took it over and the former agent retired. I don’t even know how many thousands (tens of thousands) of dollars we’ve given them. When my husband and I were considering switching companies, we told Brandon and he totally sold us on State Farm, saying the benefit of them over other companies is that, although premiums might be higher, if anything were to happen to the roof or siding, State Farm replaces the whole thing, not just what was damaged. They know it always looks like crap and don’t short-​change their customers like that.
Enter the great hail storm of 2015 and the corresponding roof damage. Great! We have the best coverage and will get a new roof; no problem… PROBLEM. After jumping through hoop after hoop, Brandon finally came down from his throne and was willing to talk to little insignificant us. I got such a laugh out of a prior reviewer’s comment that it sounded like his mom made him call. Totally what happened! He called without offering any kind of apology for totally and completely misrepresenting our policy in order to get us to stay with him. Instead, he told us he would never have said something like that and just continued his arrogant and smug approach to interacting with his customers. We kept being told that another inspector would come out to check our roof, but instead Brandon just sent the same one and relentlessly shamed the customer rather than taking any responsibility for the fact that he misrepresented our policy to us and making us feel like we should retain any confidence whatsoever in his ability to protect us. We even called the State Farm corporate offices and were told that, essentially, he’s his own boss and State Farm really does no quality control.
Bottom line: Brandon can say whatever the hell he wants as an agent to hook you into his company, and he has absolutely no obligation to follow through. It feels a lot like fraud and is definitely deceptive, but he’s not going to stop his way of doing business because no one is hierarchically above him. It’s absurd that we’ve been paying these premiums under the impression that we had a better policy than we really do.
Stay far, far away from this guy. If you’re lucky enough to get Whitney to help you, she’s awesome. She’s sweet and helpful, but ultimately Brandon calls the shots, and he’s just not a good guy. He says whatever he wants to sell you and pacify you, and as soon as you need your insurance he pretends he’s never uttered a word of what you remember.

I’ve been with State Farm for 16 years, across 3 different states and I’ve never experienced the lack of concern or professionalism as I did here. I was pretty disappointed with the customer service, communication and lack of accountability with this office, which led me to no longer have any confidence in their follow through. I made the switch to Nathan Dao’s office, which I’ll review upon seeing my December bill corrected, but so far so good.
Long story short here, I recently moved to MN, which has a cheaper rate than where I previously lived, yet every month they continue to bill me the higher rate, which is about $ 45 of an overage.
When I called to get this cleared up, they said they fixed it, but when I reminded them that was what they said last month they couldn’t tell me what they did differently to fix it for this month. The agent finally called, Brandon, which was a pointless call because he just didn’t really care to address my concern. He never once apologized or said he wanted to make it right or keep my business. It felt like his mother made him call so he was just going through the motions but had zero real interest in calling me! Lol it was kind if funny.
Either way, go elsewhere. Customer service and accountability are two big qualities I value that I didn’t get here.

New office looks awesome with new technology that easily project for everyone in the room to see. The other plus sign is save my family around $ 500 on on both cars we have including rental insurance.
I recommend to talk with them for other discount that you could get.

Incredibly hard to communicate with.
I’ve had State Farm Insurance since I began driving. As a company, State Farm is great. There are certainly far better agents to work with, however.
I cancelled my policy in February. I’ve been on the phone with them every month, also requesting that they follow up with me via email to confirm that the information I’ve submitted has been reviewed, but apparently even a courtesy email like that is too much to ask from this office. By the way, I’m still getting bills for my «cancelled» policy.
I wish I had better things to say about this office, but unfortunately, I can’t.
