Terrible service! Ok food. I have ordered from Wright’s before and their food is ok at best. But their service is by far the worst I have ever come across. I ordered food for pick up and when I went to pick up the food, the people at Wright’s were gone! They share the space with another restaurant and they told me that the person who is in charge of Wright’s, had just left and would be back sometime soon. Who does that!!! I waited for about 15 minutes and they still had not returned, so I left without my food. I will never order from Wright’s again.

Wrights seems as if they are struggling to find a theme, at the moment. Every time I drive by, nobody is in there. Not sure why, to be honest. Both times I’ve gone to Wrights the food was solid and everything was fresh made to order . The place reminds me of a better, and cheaper, Five Guys that serves bomb boneless wings. Bad comparison? Eh, best I could come up with. I like that they arnt giving up though, even if business isn’t booming. Service was good both times. 10% discount to college students is cool incentive. Owned by a small local businessman who is passionate about what he does. Why not give it a try?

I like to support local businesses so I decided to check out Wrights. However, the food was very overpriced and the quality did not match the price tag. I liked the food, but ended up feeling ripped off.

I decided to order from here even though it has a TON of bad reviews. I ordered lunch and it came in a timely manner I thought. I ordered for my husband and I. We both had burgers with wookie sauce. Which BTW, I had no idea what that sauce was. I just chose it for the name. Star Wars. Hello!!! They make their own sauces apparently and most you don’t even know what they are because they don’t tell you on the menu online. The wookie sauce is like thousand island dressing. So kind of like a Big Mac I guess. It was good. The burgers were cooked to our liking. My husband and I both thought the buns were great. Maybe made in house. I don’t know for sure. My husband thought the burger was too small for the bun though. I guess I didn’t pay attention to that. I enjoyed mine. The fries were cold. The ketchup was AMAZING. It has kick to it, like a cross between ketchup, BBQ sauce and hot sauce. They do charge extra. Not sure why. Just give ketchup away free with fries(even if it is homemade). It was only 25 cents a container but still. The onion rings were not worth the cost at all, not even a little bit. They were also cold, but good. However, you only get 5. I thought maybe I’d get double that. I get onion rings a lot from other places. This was on the small side for the cost. All in all, it was just ok. I would give them a 2nd shot though. I am curious about other things on the menu.

I had a basic cheese burger with lettuce, mustard, onions, tomato. Best burger I’ve had in Milwaukee. Only burger I’ve had in town with a nice crispy sear. Would order form them again.

Ordered two burger combos and an appetizer at 8:45 last night. The meal got here at 9:30 and I noticed I was missing the appetizer, so I called immediately and was told it would be sent to me right away. It didn’t get here until 10:50, so I didn’t call to complain since they were about to be closed. I just called now and was told«nothing can be done without the food.» This was my first and last time ordering food from this restaurant.

Ordered 6 wings and a burger. Wings were barely there, half-wings, fries were spongy and over-salted, burger was so thin, and yet, still pink and under-cooked. When we called to express our disappointment, the manager stated they switched to half wings because they got complaints that the wings were too big. Really? We live in Milwaukee, on a college campus; I doubt anyone is complaining about serving size. To his credit, he offered to make the burger again but it just wasn’t worth the hassle as he didn’t offer to deliver and we were just getting in from a long day trip. Sad to see we were the only customers they had and they couldn’t even get the burger right. We should have tried the new Sal’s instead. Bummed to see another unsuccessful business in the old Army recruitment office. A note about our visit: both people behind the counter were friendly enough. While we took advantage of the empty dining room to get a head start on our season 1 of «The Affair» binge watching, the guy was making all kinds of non-sensical noises, not conversation, mind you; so we had to turn it off. Oh, well. Home now. Showtime. :)

Garbage. First time I ate there had a hair in my burger. Figure I would give it another try and it was just as gross. 1⁄3 of my burger was ice cold somehow. I’ll never go back.

First, the delivery can be slow, takes about forty to forty five minutes, but it is lunch time. Second, the menu online is vague and I have no clue what a bacon patty is, assuming it is a burger patty with bacon, it was a small bun with two pieces of bacon and cheese. Three, I noticed I didn’t have my soda or fries in the combo I ordered, instead they gave me four wings. I called and said what I had ordered and what my order said. Somehow they didn’t see this at their place so they thought 5.75 was high for two wings and made four instead. I eat the wings, they were meaty but light on the sauce, not the best but the worst. Then after calling and complaining to one of their employees, the owner called me and apologized. Then offered to comp my next meal, so I will give this another shot. That means it is a owner who cares to go out of their way. So the least I can do is give this place a fair shot again, but sitting down next.

Tonight the owner was testing out a deep-fried cheeseburger. It was delicious. He is one of the best because he’s creative. I always get incredibly great service when I get here. The owner is a fantastic guy who loves making great food. It’s not as fast as McDonald’s, but the quality is 1 million times better.

I had a cheeseburger wrapped in bacon and it was awesome! The owner makes his own sauces and ketchup, and it’s worth the couple minutes it takes for him to cook it fresh for you. Awesome place to stop at on the east side!

This is a hard review to write because I really like the place and it does have promise but 3 stars is A-ok and after 3 visits they just aren’t there yet. If you go you only want to go when Damien the owner is cooking and then it is still a gamble if your burger will be cooked to the doneness you request. What I like about Wrights… Quality and passion for a unique and great tasting product. The owner makes everything from scratch including the ketchup Seasoned fries are excellent and fresh made. They mix their propriety seasoning mix into the meat which has a good flavor What I don’t like about Wrights Confusing menu and pricing Prices for a ¼ lb burger is $ 7.00, The ¼ Lamb burger is 14.75 w/feta cheese on it… thats just ridiculous. They just cannot cook a medium rare burger(three visits and not one cooked correctly) either almost raw or overcooked well past medium. I still have to try their wings which sound very interesting. the owner has some great passion for producing great food but maybe they just need some time to work out the kinks. The owner was one of the partners in Amercan Euros that occupied the same space prior. Its worth giving them a chance as they do have alot going for them and hopefully can execute better on it going forward

I made a build your own burger similar to a western burger. Bbq sauce, onion rings, lettuce & cheese. It was delicious! The burger was juicy, the bun was amazing & the toppings were fresh. I also tried the cheesy bacon bombs, which are cheese, wrapped in croissant, wrapped in bacon & deep fried. Very rich but very worth it! Ate them all before I even realized it they were so good. Finally, I tried the ‘boneless wings’, which were more like a grilled chicken nugget topped in sauce. They have a green & gold wing sauce with a perfect amount of spice, and who can’t get behind that?! In short, I highly recommend this place!

Many restaurants that serve veggie burgers have frozen ones that they cook up and pass of as their own, not this place! The flavor in the burger was delicious, not sure what kind of spices or seasoning that was in there, but it’s so good!(not to mention the bun was all sorts of amazing). I also had the onion rings which were delicious — I will definitely be back in!

I really wanted this to be better. I’ll definitely take some of the blame for heading in on the first night. Everything was a bit frantic, despite their best efforts they couldn’t get tables clean before someone snagged the next one, and I think the owner had his kids helping out to keep things going. You can tell one thing though, that dude really cares about the place, and pours hit heart and soul into it to make it a success… and based on that alone, I’ll definitely be back. Couple things from my visit. The burger patty itself was damn good. The bun was good too, but everything else about it was so sloppily put together, that I could barely eat it as a whole. Fries were cold. I’m not sure what kind of system they are using to serve fries, but they were mixing and matching from 2 different bowls, and neither had fresh ones. Here’s another thing that needs to be addressed. The ventilation in there is terrible. Even with the door open, the smoke poured right out of the kitchen and into the small dining room… That can’t be legal, and there has to be a better way. If you want a laugh, go check out their facebook page. They have 26 reviews…25 of them are 5 star… and about 24 of those were posted before the place was open. Odd.

Was hoping the food was a lot better. Grandpa Green’s Beef Burger– The beef patty was beyond dry. So overcooked it was worse than McDonalds. My receipt says med rare and that is definitely not what I got. The burgers start at $ 6-$ 7.50 and all the burgers don’t come with cheese so you have to add $.50. Chicken Wings– Marinated wings that come with a side of dipping sauce. Flavor was ok but could be juicier. A bit pricy at 4 wings for $ 5.75. Loaded Beef Fries– Again the beef patty was cooked to beyond recognition and extremely dry. Flavor of sauces and fries were decent. Overall, the food could be a lot better and maybe they are just working out the kinks but it was a lot worse than expected for flavor and value. The burgers could use a ton of improvement and didn’t see any raw food being cooked. All the food was all par cooked and warmed on the grill or fryer. Would not return from this experience. *Update-Now that I got a chance to look more closely at the menu, the Grandpa burger is more expensive than building your own burger with the same ingredients. Fail!
