Prime Time Sports Bar and Eatery

Came here with my gf after doing some apartment hunting. Food was really good and the décor was pretty cool. Sports pictures, frames and all different types and kinds of autographed memorabilia surrounded the place. Sorry to hear they closed and were bought out by new owners who changed. Hope its still just as good…

Probably the best French onion soup you will ever have !!! Once again did not disappoint :) great food and staff … Prime Time has been sold new name is Zi’s Sports Bar and eatery !!

This place is great! Great atmosphere, bee food, and beers! Sitting in here and having a couple of drinks, I felt like I was at home. Wednesday nights is Mexican food and I definitely recommend. I had the chicken tacos with rice and beans. So much food, I’m almost sad with food. Meaning I’m full as a tick on a hound dog. The bartender, Lisa, was awesome and made me feel at home too. If you’re in this part of town and are looking for an easy time with good vibes, check it out!

Told my husband we should go out and he obliged me although I knew he really wanted to watch the Badgers. He was pleasantly surprised when we rode less than 10 minute down the street to Prime Time. He was even happier when we walked in and he saw every TV was tuned to the game. Having never been there he didn’t know what to expect.
He ordered a burger and I had their excellent chili and prime rib sandwich. As usual the prime rib was cooked to perfection. My husband even mentioned to me that the burger was really good and the bun was high quality. Which is impressive for some one that considers getting a chicken sandwich mixing it up! It did take a little time to get our food but the bar was pretty packed and I already knew it would be worth the wait.
On the way out we were stopped by the owner and asked if we had an enjoyable meal, to which we could only reply absolutely.

The owner is super friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and upbeat.
The inside out burger was made uniquely and very well prepared. All the most amazing burger flavor, but no mess of goodness falling out the sides.
Amazing felted cheese curds. That being said, I’m a visitor from California with no past experience with Cheese Curds. Cheese being my favorite food, sustenance and source of vital nutrition, I approve their cheese.

I frequent this place for work lunches and we have gained the reputation of «Nacho Guys.» I would recommend checking out the nachos and burgers. Never at the same time though, thats a recipe for disaster with the monstrous portions seen at Prime Time. Overall a good lunch spot.

It turns out that the north shore has a bit of a dearth of places to go watch sporting events. A diverse group of us wanted to talk and watch a Badger football game after having met up in Glendale. Ruling out BW3 at Bayshore meant the options were slim. We tried Prime Time.
Here’s the thing — a sports bar needs to provide quality feeds of said sporting event and it appeared Prime Time might be using a SlingBox or some other contraption. Each TV was at a different point in the game — some screens were delayed up to 20 or so seconds. One of the big screens kept freezing (pretty sure it wasn’t the feed — no other TV had this problem). So that’s kind of frustrating. I came here to watch the game. If I can’t watch the game, I’d rather be elsewhere, not eating bar food.
The food was just fine — exactly what you’d expect for bar food.
I can’t imagine I’d ever go back or suggest this place to anyone else. There’s just nothing to recommend it.

I wont go back. Portions were tiny. Quality was poor. Got the potato skins and they were feeble. Got jalapeño poppers and they were overcooked and only 5 in the basket. Kids grilled cheese was good. Hard to screw that up. Quite expensive for what we got. To top it off, waitress was grumpy.
