Specialties
We are one of the oldest Irish taverns in Milwaukee. We have been serving the Marquette community for over 40 years — but we’re not your grandpa’s Harp & Shamrock anymore! Within blocks of the Rave/Eagles Club, we are your best bet for before or after concert (cheap) drinks.
History
Established in 1885.
The building was constructed in 1885. There is reason to believe it has been a tavern from the beginning. We have a copy of a license application from the 1920s for the business to become a «soda shop». Perhaps for prohibition?
The bar has been the Harp & Shamrock since AT LEAST the 1960s.
Meet the Manager
Ted M.
Manager
Although his first impression is as a rough, tattooed and pierced «hooligan», everyone loves Ted. If you come in Wednesday thru Saturday nights, he will greet you with a cold drink, warm welcome, and probably challenge you to a good old Milwaukee game of bar dice for shots of Jaegermeister!
