We are a dog wash and grooming salon featuring state-​of-​the-​art equipment and facilities. Our goal is to make your pooch look his or her best, supplying all of the dog goods you may need alongside a lounge to enjoy the company of your dog and other dog owners.

History

Established in 2012.

Community Bark started in 2009 at our Bayside store, and we were so excited to come to Bay View which we did in the summer of 2012!

We love helping customers take great care of their dogs with full-​service ProGrooming and FullBarks, as well as having people wash their own pups with the SelfBarks! Inspired by a terrific dog wash in San Diego, I was so happy to bring our philosophy of «it’s the dog first» to Milwaukee!

I created Community Bark because there just aren’t enough places where people can hang out and take great care of their dogs! I spent 12+ years in corporate marketing and sales and have enjoyed applying the many experiences and skills from my former career to the dog loving public. I’d love you to come in and meet Toby, my little rescue bulldog!

These guys are great! Our dog had a straight freak out (he didn’t end up getting an actual bath because he was so anxious) but the groomer Jordan was great with him throughout his puppy meltdown. They gave us tips on how to deal with him going forward and recommended some dry shampoo alternatives. They were super understanding and really nice. Totally recommend this place

So, my dog is a rescue and he’s not known for his calm demeanor. I’ve been getting his toenails cut here for every 6 weeks for two years and every single staff member has been absolutely excellent with him. Definitely recommended.

I have gone to Community Bark in Bay View a number of times now for a self bark, full bark, and a pro-​groom. Every time we go the staff is very friendly and great with my dog! Facilities are kept clean and supplies available are great.

Hmm. I’ve been coming here for about a year now, maybe. It’s in the neighborhood, and the prices are competitive. The service on the other hand, maybe not.
You’ve got plenty of options here. You can wash your dog yourself or have someone there wash them for you. I usually opt to do it myself since I’ve been doing it for so long. The staff normally just guide you to the tub and let you do your own thing, which is great, fine, whatever.
The few times I have had the staff wash my little guy, I’ve felt that it could have been done better rather than «faster», as he did still have mud in his fur, etc. when they were done with him.
So, I’ve begun opting into the whole do-​it-​yourself and have been much more pleased. They have all the tools, etc., which is nice.
The staff, to be honest, I could do without. Half seem like they hate being there and express it with their sighs and groans. There’s been a younger kid there lately, who, frankly, doesn’t seem old enough to work, yet he was doing all of the cleaning while the other staff sat around…
I don’t know. It’s close to home, but I’ve had better experiences elsewhere.

Love it! I have a cockapoo who needs a pro groom every 3 months or so. She always comes home happy and obviously very well taken care of. I can tell my groomer loves animals and that my pup is in good hands when she’s there for 3+ hours. Love this place!

My dogs were skunked while they were in my nephew’s care while I was on vacation. I’d like to mention it was not his fault — the skunk was in my own backyard. After my nephew’s late night attempt at a home remedy deskunking, it was necessary to bring them in to Community Bark. We’ve been coming to Community Bark since it opened in Bay View in 2012 and have always received excellent service. I love how the groomers treat my dogs as if they were their own. Upon my return from my vacation, one of my dogs was still smelling a little skunky. Andrew offered to redo him at no charge! I made an appt. and he came out smelling much better. Both dogs looked great and it was great to come home to soft, fluffy, clean, well-​groomed dogs. I highly recommend Community Bark — and be sure to take advantage of the punch card!

Two things: 1) Fair price, and; 2) Great staff. Overall, my dog prefers to go back. The self-​bath cost approx $ 25 and they provide everything but the dog itself; dryers, towels, ear cleaner, more.
