The service guy was fine, polite and helpful.

AKRIT was called late on a Friday after we got home from work and realized our refrigerator was warmer than our house. Ugh oh. They found an available technician and joe was here within 40 minutes! They were exceptionally polite, thorough, and clean! I have absolutely the best to say and would use them in a second again!

I called Akrit recently because my dishwasher wasn’t draining. I can’t speak to Akrit’s work or timeliness, but I can talk about their integrity. The gentleman I spoke with on my initial call told me that 90% of dishwasher draining problems are caused by a clogged air gap. He advised me to check the air gap, remove any clog, and run the dishwasher again. I checked it out and sure enough there was a clog. This solved my problem.
Who’d believe that a service guy asked questions first rather than coming to my house and then telling me how easy the fix was… and by the way, here’s an invoice for $ 75 for the service call? Based on my one encounter with Akrit, I’d recommend them as an honest bunch.

I am just thrilled with Akrit! Our oven did not work after a self-​clean cycle. Do not like being without a working oven. From the time I called Akrit, it was a matter of about 2.5 hours until a most knowledgeable service repair gentleman was at our door. How fantastic is that! Tom quickly accessed and made necessary repair. He took an extra moment to share some worthwhile tips on another appliance, a cooktop. Overall this was a most pleasant experience! These folks are professionals. I’ve had more than my share of appliance woes (refrigerator, range top and dishwasher) and they’ve been excellent to do business with.
1. They ask for enough information to complete the job in one visit. They bring the right parts instead of coming out in multiple visits.
2. They ask enough questions to understand the problem and in one case saved me a trip by telling me how to check a common problem. I checked it out, and sure enough, found a plug of food that was preventing the dishwasher from emptying.
3. They try to help and offer an estimate for the repairs before coming out. In other words, if you are facing a $ 900 replacement of a glass cooktop, you might want to consider replacing the range instead. I really appreciate that kind of advice.
In contrast, my washer dryer combo is serviced by another large local appliance store. It took 5 visits to get things fixed. They had no parts in inventory, ordered parts that didn’t fix the problem, and finally finished the job weeks later. The technician didn’t have enough understanding? or the parts folks don’t pay attention? or they enjoy sending employees on housecalls multiple times so they can bill the manufacturer for warranty claims? I don’t know and don’t care, I just want my appliances working.
