AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Mario helped me solve my problem given what the issue was (transmission failure), budget, car/​year and what my future plans were. He helped me troubleshoot — even put in the Bluebook estimate to do the math on which route for me to take — was it worth it to put a new transmission in or just get a new car?
He was upfront and I was appreciative of his legwork and help. Not everyone would do that. Smart cat.

I came in with a detached muffler, the belt of which had completely rusted through. The employees at the desk within quoted that the parts and labor would be around $ 100, which sounded reasonable to me, and that it would be done by the following morning (which is good, because I needed to work in the afternoon).
Morning rolled around, and by 10 am I had not heard anything. I called the store, and had a conversation with Domenic, who informed me that the part had been ordered and was en route; when it arrived, he would only need about half an hour to put it on. He would then call me when it was complete. I was satisfied with this answer, and waited around for the phone call. Domenic suggested an oil change since I had to wait anyways, and that killed two bird with one stone. Around 12, I began to worry because I had to work in two hours (Disclaimer: I am bit of a worrywart at times). Domenic told me that the part was still not there, and informed me that he was going to put me on hold and quickly call the warehouse, expressing to me that it was poor customer service on the warehouse’s part. I was impressed with his persistence because of my work situation and his polite phone etiquette.
It turns out that the warehouse truck was just pulling into AAMCO, and that it would only take about 40 mins from that time for it to get fixed. I got to work with plenty of time to spare.
I am giving AAMCO 4 stars for this experience because:
1 star off: The service was «promised» to be done in the morning and wasn’t. It is ok, because it turned out well, and sometimes things happen. 4 Stars is still a very good rating :)
4 Stars: Great customer service and persistence on Domenic’s part. I will be using AAMCO again for my automobile needs. Reasonable prices and close to my residence.
