Curry College

Beautiful College I went recently and got a tour around college really impress and happy to see such a nice college close home.

I currently work full time and started working towards my Bachelor’s degree in nursing as I have an associate’s. They faculty and staff could not be more helpful. The writing center, the librarians, and the whole mycurry interface is so convenient and really makes you feel as though they want you to succeed. I went to Umass Amherst for 4 years and thought college meant you have to search everything out for yourself but at Curry there are so many options for people that don’t do well in that atmosphere. The faculty seem genuinely concerned with your performance as well which makes you feel much less like a number and much more like a student. Although it is pricey I think Curry is worth it!

For me, this was a nice small school for me to further my dream of sports broadcasting. I had taken classes in TV, radio and communications.
One of the things i enjoyed doing while I was here was hosting my own radio show on the college’s radio station WMLN. This station is highly recommended for those heading to this school for the fall semester. It’s run by a great bunch of people, headed by a professor who knows his stuff on radio. the TV station is good too. State-​of-​the-​art equipment, the professor is a great guy (I learned quite a few things from him and the radio professor).
My speech teacher is a fantastic guy.
All in all, I liked this school. Easy to get to (only about an hour from my house), the food was awesome (I always had a sandwich) and the people there were awesome too. I give this school my Seal of Approval!

I am attending the spring semester of my Senior year at Curry, and it is definitely a bittersweet feeling that is brewing among myself! What a great institution. During the Fall of my Freshman year, I let my distractions get the best of me and did not do the best that I could have done. Spring semester, same thing. Sophomore year and forward I started to put more and more effort in my work and my past fall semester, my GPA for the fall was a 3.78. I have taken professors here that also teach part or full timeat Harvard, Babson, Emerson, Lesley, and many other great schools in the boston/​metropolitan area. Professors remember your name and are very personable.
The campus itself is great, and in the springtime it is an especially happy environment. The new student center was much needed and is definitely the heart of the campus. The student body seems to be very active among their grade– from fundraising to activities, and the faculty/​staff are truly first rate. I am majoring in communications and the department has some unbelievably knowledgeable professors.
The drawbacks include limited parking at peak times, a lot of residents go away on weekends– but this is common with smaller private colleges in general, shuttles can have a little bit iffy of a schedule, and the school itself is very expensive. Credits and extra curricular activites are $$$$
I am proud to be graduating from this school! It truly has helped evolved my academic capabilities and has provided me an education i’d likely be unable to recieve elsewhere. A fantastic place.
