Almost every item I tried were very tasty like home made ones. Their response and treatment with customers have been very nice always.

One of the best restaurant & Value for money! Wherever I visted people/mgmt used to give high attention to ambiance, décor etc. In my opinion, its all cosmetic. This has a minimal décor, showcase etc. but Very god quality food at reasonable prices. Staff are also reponsive, good, Highly recommend!

I was there a few days ago but was not so impressed. The dishes do not look or taste much different. There were many people eating there at the time before 4:00PM, which is kind of unusual. May try it again.

My new favorite Indian restaurant. I was looking for something tasty and authentic and I’ve found it here! The service is excellent and a great restaurant for vegetarians. I ordered the Kadai paneer and mixed veg kurma with garlic naan and loved both! I also ordered them spicy and it was delicious! I’ve provided more details about the mixed veg kurma on my food blog on Instagram: meattheveggielifestyle. Check it out and add me!

Great customer service, great food, and nice ambiance. It is a little hard to find at first, especially if you’re navigating at night, but don’t give up! When we first got here, I was a little skeptical because of the location, but remember to never judge a book by its cover. Once inside, I noticed how clean and spacious it was, which is a definite plus. My favorites here are the boneless chicken biryani, veggie pakora, garlic naan(soooo… good!), and butter chicken. If you can’t handle spicy food, I would suggest ordering mild or non spicy(the mild was still pretty spicy). The portions here are pretty large and like most Indian places it’s meant to be eaten family style. I always have food left over when we come here, so don’t over order if you don’t like taking leftovers home. Both times that I’ve come here, the servers are always friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back next time to try their lunch buffet!

Never go to prode of india even they offer free food. Disgusting maintainance and not fresh food. Better avoid to have food there.

Just had this place today for the first time. The food had really great flavor but for some reason everything I had from the buffet was cold. Room temperature would have actually been nice but it was really cold. I noticed most of the candle things under the buffet trays were out and the door to the building being open didn’t help. It’s a shame because the flavor was actually really good. Giving 2 stars because not good enough to be average but not the worst. If food was hot I would have given a 4 or 5.

Tandoori chicken was not cooked through. I still saw the raw meat. Hope owner will improve. Gobi paratha is a bit too salty. Same issue as last time when I ordered the aloo paratha. But $ 6.99 Togo lunch buffet definitely a steal!

The best Indian restaurant for the perfect price .The food has never caused any health concerns to me. FOR that price, kids less than 6yes of age, eat free. Our favorite Indian restaurant in Milpitas which is better than anjapar, Milan etc. buffet is the complete value for money… $ 9.not many are aware of this restaurant due to it’s location… Dixon landing exit. The owner is so humble. Very good service.

Probably won’t be coming back. The food was pretty salty. All I can say is, the naan was really good. I tried the chicken fry as suggested, but it was just a lot of bone, and I hate bone. Wish I got a tikka masala instead. Also tried the egg plant masala, which actually wasn’t too bad.

What a hidden gem! I’ve seen signs for Pride of India but never had a craving for Indian food until tonight. The sign is not lit up so it’s hard to see. If you’re heading east on Dixon Landing it’s just past the liquor store. Here’s what we had: Butter Chicken– Lots of good flavor and smaller pieces of chicken. Would definitely order again. Chicken Korma– They were out of lamb tonight so I had to settle for more chicken. I liked the texture and flavor of this dish as well. There were still pieces of whole spices that were a little alarming but that can’t always be avoided. Garlic Naan– this is where I was let down. The naan was not fresh. It definitely had the texture of reheated bread. I would have preferred fresh garlic as well. I’ll try the plain naan next time. We asked for extra spicy dishes and they delivered. This is great because many times I’ll ask for extra spicy and it’s never spicy enough. Ordering over the phone was a little slow but everyone is friendly. We will definitely be back!

My visit to Pride of India came about when I planned to have lunch with a friend whom I hadn’t seen in many years. I was craving Indian food since the current city I reside in is somewhat lacking and I knew he could recommend a good spot given his location. Pride of India was discovered using none other than Unilocal. The spot is in a little«strip mall» area directly out of a residential area of Milpitas(north of Milpitas High I think but hey google maps can figure that out for you) and it is a buffet style spot. The inside is a lot nicer than the outside would lead you to believe but to be honest that is rarely important to me as long as the place is clean and the food good. I have to say this place fills both of those criteria. The people here are super nice and hospitable they even give you food pairing suggestions and make sure you have everything you need. The food is delicious and fresh table delivered naan is a cherry on top of an otherwise delicious sundae. Usual Indian food fare will be found here and to be honest everything I ate was really good, the butter chicken was my favorite. There is chai tea to finish off your meal as well. I am not often in that particular area but I have already told a handful of my local friends to check this place out it is definitely worth the visit. Next time I find myself nearby I will have to visit again.

$ 8.99 for an ayce lunch buffet? I’m down! Came here with a friend for lunch and got seated right away. This restaurant had a cozy homey feeling to it. I haven’t had TOO much Indian food, but I know what I like and this place was good. It wasn’t just curry too, they had a bunch of other things I can’t pronounce the name of! They all had flavor and a kick to them. My friend can’t take spicy and he was kind of dying, but that’s what the sauces and condiments are for! They tone it down a bit. I love spicy food so this was very good for me. At the end of our meal, the(I presume) owner came to our table and asked if everything was good and if it was our first time there. He was very kind and it just made our experience better! I will definitely recommend this place for anyone on a budget that wants to eat a lot and I will definitely be back!

Amazing food — went in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised by the quality and tastes of the food. Very Authentic Indian food — and the prior proprietors are really friendly. If you haven’t tried this place yet — I recommend you try it. About the food — both the North Indian and South Indian foods very very good — I liked the mutter panneer and butter chicken. The desserts were very tasty as well. I didn’t try the rice items but they looked decent. The Buffet food was always hot. Overall one of the best Indian restaurants in North San Jose/Milpitas area. And they are priced very affordably — the Buffet was just $ 9.
