These guys are outstanding! I have an old Saturn and needed a new key as the one I had was very worn. I had been calling Chevy and GM dealerships and they were not helpful and just wanted a bunch of $$ to do anything. So, I called The Key Factory out of frustration. I spoke with Brian S, who was very friendly and helpful. I went to their business and was given great professional help and clear technical explanations of why I was having trouble with my key. They then made me a new key from the key cylinder codes on my car and it worked like a charm! They saved me $$$ from going to Chevy or GM! I would definitely recommend The Key Factory for all key needs.

I visited The Key Factory on August 5 2015 needing a duplicate for a tough to find safe key. After authenticating that I owned the safe (I had it with me), the staff found the needed blank and quickly made a perfect copy. They also gave me needed advice on some other security needs. Brick and mortar key shops are a rarity and even though I had to drive 18 miles each way, it was absolutely worth the drive. The Key Factory is highly recommended.

I went here to get a duplicate car key for my Dodge Neon, which is a transponder key. I called the dealer, which quoted me $ 175. Another location quoted me $ 99, and here they only charged me $ 79.95. They were kind and very efficient. It took them only 5 minutes to clone and program the key and it works perfectly. They were a little bit out of the way for me to get to, but so worth it. Do NOT pay the $ 175 your car dealer wants for a duplicate car key!

Locked myself out of my room like an idiot. Needed a cheap Home Depot bedroom door lock opened. Called as soon as they opened at 8:00 am and the guy showed up within 15 minutes (I live in Milpitas). I thought he was going to have to drill the lock, but instead he picked it in about 45 seconds. Saved me $ 20.00 on a new door lock.
$ 85.00 + tip for the mobile service. I cannot recommend enough; I’m a happy camper.

I walked in this afternoon and was greeted by Brian S. I said I needed to have a deadbolt rekeyed. He was very helpful and promptly worked on it and got the job done within 5 minutes.
I also asked about the different safes that they carry, and he did a great job explaining them and answering my questions.
I am really happy i decided to come to this store, and I will definitely use them for all of my lock smithing needs.

If you need a key cut this is the place to go. I mean seriously the place is named Key Factory why would you need to go anywhere else. Yes you can use one of those automatic machines at the mall for the same price. But what happens if the machine breaks or your key dosnt fit right. Thats where key factory comes in. They offer friendly great customer service and go the extra mile.
I have been going to these guys for many years. I had a aftermarket key key cut so I know sometimes when cutting them they may not come out right. They took the time to hand file it to make sure it fit to my car perfectly. They even took the time to lubricate my cars door locks. If I could I would give them 6 stars!

I brought in a new, uncut key that I had bought online, and The Key Factory was able to cut it to match my original BMW key. It didn’t take long. The new key worked in the keyholes the first time, and I saved a lot of money compared to buying a new key at the dealership. I would come back here again when I need more keys.

Went into The Key Factory today and was not disappointed. I have a security door key and before The Key Factory I went to 3 other business and I haven’t been able to successfully copy the key. Came in and was greeted by one of the employees. He explained that the lock and key is a European lock and that he may need to see the lock. This is probably why I haven’t been successful making any copies. He narrowed down he key to two keys and picked one specifically and made copies of it.
Boy, he was on the money. The key fits perfectly and I finally can open that security door. Would recommend The Key Factory.

I have been very happy with the service from the Key Factory! As a local business, I have had my office re-​keyed a few times over the last seven years. Each time, the technician has come out on time and have been very efficient. They have been really friendly too! My experience has always been very positive with them.

Great place to get your keys done. I have tried going to Home Depot or OSH to get my keys done, but because it is automated there was always a chance the keys didn’t work (a very high chance i. e mine never worked). However, these guys do their key copies by hand so it is always a guaranteed success. They are also very knowledgeable about their locks and safes. I highly recommend getting your keys done here as well as if you need to change locks this is the place to go

I came in here and saw some really funny window signs and was just like: «TAKE MY MONEY!»
Everybody here is just down to earth, and friendly. I will actually be heading there soon to get a new door knob because we had to tear it out. I wish I had called them first so that they would have been able to open my door without the knob having to be destroyed. I get locked out a lot and they are very close to home and I know I can count of them.

Went to both Home Depot and Orchard Supply and they use automated key cutters which provided keys that didn’t work.
Key factory did what the others couldn’t!

Awesome customer service. Great place to get your lock fixed and rekeyed. I went to rekey my lock and in addition to rekeying the locks they even oiled it and made it work smoothly. I would anytime suggest this store for any lock and key issues.

They found a key for my old car that I never would have expected.

I’m shocked that I’m the first to post on these guys, but here goes:
I had originally found O’Neils around the corner on Unilocal.They didn’t have the machine needed to cut a replacement car key (5 year old Honda), so they directed me to the Key Factory.
When I went to the Key Factory last night, Shawn and Brian S. were really friendly and explained that they had a policy that you need to bring the car so they can make sure the keys they cut will work for it. I didn’t have the car at the time, but they were able to call the owner and make an exception. I was fine with having to come back with the car in case the key didn’t work, knowing that they really needed the car to get it right and that they were making an exception for me.
The key was just slightly off, so I brought the car back this morning, and the owner was there as well. They took all the time needed to modify the key and made sure to keep trying it on all the locks in the car to ensure it was perfect. The keys we do have for the car are old and worn, so they really did some great work by cutting a new key from them.
Replacing my key at the dealership would have cost around $ 160 total. I ordered an empty shell online for $ 12, moved the working transponder into it, and the guys at the Key Factory cut it for $ 25. So, $ 37 instead of $ 160 is wonderful.
I highly recommend these guys, and will go to them again for any key /​locks needs I might have.
