Receptionist charged more copay than I was supposed to pay.

My wife and I have been visiting Dr. Joshi for the past 6 months and have found her to be very knowledgeable, caring and accommodating. Scheduling and re-​scheduling appointments is very easy.

The one star i have given is purely for picking up my call and saying that I can come in for a walk-​in checkup for an emergency. I had stitches and was advised to get a physician look at it in a couple of days. When trying to get an appointment close to home, no doctor was available /​accepting new patients and hence i had to go here. I had stitches on one leg and some wounds on the other. The doctor took me in 2 hours after I arrived and didnt even look/​open the main wound that had stitches. She saw the other and recommended tablets. She didnt even give me the prescription for it and when asked again at the receptionist again, it was refused. I had some of those pills at home and my course could not get completed due to missing prescriptions. Due to this I got swelling again and it took me almost 2 more weeks to get normal. I will not recommend this doctor to anyone since she cares about her time and not the patients care. She lightly dressed the small wound and charged me 200 for 10 mins of not so helpful advise.

Doctor Joshi comes off as a knowledgeable and caring person. However, the front staff is extremely rude and uncaring. As long as one can stand their curtness, you should be good.

I have been with Dr Jayashree Joshi for several years now, and I always come away feeling better than I did going in. She is knowledgeable and reassuring, one of the best at diagnosis. The staff have been quite friendly too.
I agree with Dr Joshi’s holistic approach to solving/​managing health problems.

Dr Joshi (or her staff) lost the urine sample that I gave to diagnose my illness. I do not understand how a medial practitioner can be so careless. This was a time sensitive test that was needed to be done and I cannot provide the sample again to any other practitioner.

I found her quite knowledgeable.
She updates herself with latest news and most importantly she listens to her patients,
and tries to work with him or her.
I found her quite caring too.

I am surprised to see a 4 star for Dr.Joshi. I am seeing Dr. Joshi since Nov.2013, she has been monitoring my thyroid levels. Dr. Joshi was very friendly and sweet when I saw her for the first time, but in the later visits I feel she doesnt listen to my concerns. For any question asked she says «I am 50+ and I also have these health issues». As a doctor I feel she needs to address patients concerns rather ignore. And regarding the office staff omg, they are horrible, they dont know how to email your results, how to fax, it always takes couple of phone calls to get any work done from the staff. I would definitely not recommend Dr.Joshi.

Incompetent staff and doctor. It took them more than 8 working days to give us my wife’s blood work results. It was still partially done.

My dad was having a HEART ATTACK and Dr. Joshi sent him home with ANTACID MEDICINE!!! Aren’t you supposed to know the signs of a HEART ATTACK?! My dad came to see this doctor with chest pains and this doctor didn’t even run an EKG ON HIM or send him to the EMERGENCY ROOM!!!
I took my dad to the ER 4 hours after this doctor visit because the pain wasn’t going away and they said he having a heart attack. SHAME SHAME SHAME on Dr. Joshi for not noticing the signs of a heart attack!!! I hope my dad gets a new, REAL doctor ASAP!!!

I agree with Philly B, the lady at the counter, infact one of the ladies, is quite rude to talk to, so our initial experience was bad.
However upon meeting Dr. Joshi, we found her nice and friendly. What matters the most is her diagnosis, which was great for my husband and he was up and running 1.5 days meds! Thank you Dr. Joshi! Also for accommodating us with just an hr notice, since it was an emergency.
So, I am sure gonna go back to her. but would want to leave a feedback for that billing lady for sure :)

Dr Joshi was referred by our cousin. On our first visit we were extremely impressed. she was professional and very patient answering all our questions. I would strongly recommend her.

She is good, except that you can never get her when you actually need her, doesn’t work on Saturdays, goes out on vacations more than any of us sometimes without a substitute doc, is not open to answering questions by phone or email.
Enough said!

As always, i’m gonna keep this short and simple:
I found her rude and for sure, not going there again.

Dr. Joshi is an excellent Dr. and I recommend her whenever possible. She has gone out of her way to help my family and me and has provided excellent and caring advice.

I really regret coming to this Dr. The entire office is not professional. You’ll have to wait a long time for service, the billing lady is Obnoxious and they treat you like a vulturous lender and threaten you with late payments… There are better options out there!

Jayashree Joshi has been my primary physican for six years. In that time she has been easy to work with at all times. Even when I was unemployed for a year and needed a doctors care she discounted the visit over 50% to help the needy which was me at the time. I found her to be very ethical, honest and caring at all times. She appears to be very knowledgeable in her field and over the course of 3 – 4 critical issues she never misdiagnosed the problem. I would recommend her to any seeking a good MD.

Dr Joshi has been our primary care physician for a few years now. We have been able to talk to her as much as we want and discuss any issues we have and we know she will remember our issues and any prescriptions she gives us. Also, our physical check up results are fast.
And we do love the reception staff also they are very friendly and remember us and talk to us everytime we go in.
I have always got appointments easily and we plan to continue with Dr Joshi…

One of the best Dr in the Bay Area.
Another negative feedback in this forum forced me to write this review. Some times it takes multiple tests to identify the root cause. For example, Headache can be because of acidity, or hypertension or even brain tumor. It is not a good idea to use intuition. Finding serious problems earlier can safe life.
