I had the same groupon buying– appointment canceling-experience as many of the buyers on here. In addition, I was threatened by the owner, shun, and his wife/secretary for trying to steal services and not pay for work done. His own worker looked apologetic for his employer’s attitude. I felt cheated and ripped off by this company. In fact, they upset me so much, I went back and reverse info searched the company just to write a negative review. DO NOT USE these guys. You’ve been warned.

No call, no show. My husband called and emailed them to ask if it was cancelled so he can go meet some clients and they didn’t get back to him. Rude.
I completely understand if you can’t make the appointment, but please call. Now I have to wait until October to see if I can use my groupon (if they show up).

Fraud, pure and simple. I paid $ 99 through Groupon for an onsite detailing job. First I had to wait over a year to get a supposed appointment (November 20, 2012), and then it was cancelled two days prior. I have made multiple calls since to which there has been no response. So I have been ripped off both by this company and by Groupon. Buyer beware, and shame on both of these enterprises. Avoid at all costs.

I too would give a zero as I had the same issue as a lot of others with cancelled appointments and no refund from groupon. I was given the same sob story about groupon and still have not received a refund and I bought my groupon in 2011. But what really makes me angry is today I saw this company on groupon selling the same one I could not use. Really you as a business do not honor groupons tell people to deal with them and then sell the same groupon again. Really???

$ 100 worth great. Would i deal with them again… probably not. So glad to hear all of us reviewers are in unison about canceling appt (twice) and not honoring groupon. Hated the last minute cancellation and another one prior. Great phone service but not the best overall detailing. Great job on the interior of the car, but honestly it seemed like a regular car wash with basic wax. It didn’t feel new and smooth. Would not give my biz again to them.

When I called to confirm my appointment which was made several months ago they gave me a sob story about a dispute they have with Groupon and claim Groupon is not paying them promptly. The tell me to go get my money back from Groupon and that they will no longer honor the coupon. What they fail to mention is that since they were unable to schedule the appointment until months after the Groupon expired (because they overbooked the amount of Groupons and couldn’t handle the volume) that Groupon will not refund your money. After much pleading and escalation to management at Groupon the best we got was a credit to our Groupon account. Very very unhappy with this company (and Groupon) and I feel that this is very poor customer service on their part for not limiting the number of Groupons to the volume that they could handle and not honoring their commitments to Groupon customers. Don’t do business with them.

No stars more like it. Yep they cannot keep appointments, got bumped out over 6 months to the point where Groupon expires but Irene said ‘they would honor it’. Then she calls saying having trouble with Groupon paying them blah, blah, and they won’t until Dec so they can’t honor the Groupon, have to get refund from them but I can keep the appointment and pay full price.
Called Groupon, and because purchased in the 2011 purchase window for their Class Action Lawsuit against them they will not give cash refund — instead have to join the Class Action Suit and IF it is won, you get, ta da! — Another voucher for the same place you were screwed at in the first place. Like I want to give Bay Area Auto my business after the jerk around with appointments that led me to this now!!? What a crock. I will use my last Groupon I have for some sushi (hope it works!), I will never purchase another again — they stink too.

I must say there is one good thing about this business — they are consistent — consistently holding a low quality standard. 5 one-star review in a row — we are on a roll.
I took the groupon «Diamond» Auto Detail deal. Yes, $ 99 for a $ 300 value. I should have known — too good to be truth — lesson learned.
They did wash the car and wax it. A little better than the mass labor car detailing place. The car interior is really «spot» cleaned as advertised in groupon. A few spots were cleaned but they missed many other spots. BTW, my car has black interior and these dirt spots are white. Then, in the groupon deal, it said «the detailers administer an engine de-greasing, peeling performance-obstructers, such as layers of grime and the remains of the last stegosaurus, off the motor before dispelling residual slime with a pressure wash» I opened up the hood and saw a few drops of water from washing the exterior. I noticed all the dust and grease were still there — it was untouched. One more advertising in the groupon deal «To cap off the extensive service, the car tenders clarify headlights with a restoration for renewed visibility.» The headlights still had the same old water mark and oxidation there. And the problems indicated by other reviewers were also there, trunk not vacuumed, appointment problem etc.
It was an expensive wash and wax job. I could have that for half the price at some of these drive through places. I will think twice or three times before taking on another groupon deal.

Seems like it is impossible to get them to stick to their originally agreed upon appointments! They have rescheduled on me twice already and three times on my wife. She has an upcoming appointment this month and they’ll probably cancel on her again. Most recently they asked me to switch my appointment time from the early afternoon to early morning, they did this 2 days before my appointment so I had to scramble to make arrangements and take time off work. Then I get a call an hour before my new scheduled appointment (which was confirmed less than 12 hours before hand) saying that they have to cancel and reschedule. I don’t see why it is so difficult to keep the promised appointments.
They’re currently having a disagreement with Groupon, as a result they are not honoring the vouchers and instead asking people to pay $ 90 (which is a good price) if you still want your car detailed (if you can get them to show up) and to request your money back from Groupon. However since the vouchers have now expired on July 1^st, Groupon won’t refund my money and they’re referring me to the Groupon Settlement lawsuit (
) that is ongoing. Looks like I’m out $ 100 and have a dirty car.

They detailed my car and did a great job. They were extremely professional and very much interested in pleasing the customer and doing a great job. I bought a Groupon deal and I felt like I got a really good deal on this service. They spent around 4 hours with two guys detailing my vehicle. The person that I scheduled the appointment with was also friendly and professional. We initially communicated by email and she was very responsive. Then as my appointment date got closer, I got a confirmation phone call and another one the day prior to my appointment. The detailers showed up on time and I was very pleased with the service I received. I would definitely use them again. And, let’s face it, how much more convenient can it by than to have somebody come to your home or work and detail your vehicle! My car has the fresh from the dealership look again! :-)

Very unsatisfied. I decided to try them because there was a Groupon «deal» for their platinum detail package, $ 400 worth of service for $ 100! You know the saying, you get what you pay for. I will not be using them again and wish I had my car detailed elsewhere.
My initial appointment was canceled by them. On the morning of the reschedule, they showed up 45 minutes late and nobody even called to let me know. Upon inspecting my car after they finished, the interior wasn’t wiped down — there was dirt everywhere, streaks on the windows, my trunk wasn’t vacuumed out. There were marks in my carpet, which the said they «cleaned» and I was able to remove later with regular CARPET CLEANER and a white towel. I have my car detailed frequently (at least twice a year) and this was a waste of money. Honestly, I hand-wash my car more carefully than they «detailed» it. AND THEY SCRATCHED MY CAR. Shun denied it, of course and I didn’t want to argue with him because he went on and on about his years of experience. Does this place even have a business license or insurance? I was too afraid to ask.
By the way, when a «professional» detailer shows up in his own vehicle with hazy headlights and no obvious signs of a recent wax job — that’s a sign. He doesn’t even pay attention to detail with his own ride, do you think he will on yours?

Even one start is too much for this place!
I just read the review posted by «Taylor K» and I am shocked that there’s another person with the exact same experience as me!
Long story short — they cancelled my appointments twice, rescheduled it several times and spoke rude on the phone. The lady who communicated with me over email was all apologetic but that doesn’t help in any way. They just wasted so much of my time :-(
If you don’t even know how to schedule appointments and stick to appointments, why run this kind of a service? Does the owner think the customers are dumb and would not care? seriously. i just can’t think of any valid reason for their behavior.
