This Petsmart is not impressive. Actually, I was quite disappointed.
So my review would be one star, if it wasn’t for the friendly cashier at the checkout line today, she was helpful, efficient and made the experience just a little better. Besides that though, I had nothing but problems here. First, since the Shoppes @ Blackstone Valley are somewhat on the newer side, this store should be updated like the rest of the new Petsmarts. It’s not. It’s old, with a unnecessary, inneffective layout, that is very choppy and difficult to move throughout the middle of the store. Plus, this place was extremely BUSY, yesterday 12/12, which I don’t expect as my Petsmart is consistently dead (yet, this is the ONLY chain pet store throughout the surrounding few towns…). The price scanner is very touchy, it may work for you or it may not, and it doesn’t print out labels (like it should). This location was also all out of a specific dog toy-chew I normally buy at least 6 of, which was also disappointing. Checkout didn’t take long, as multiple registers were open, and they do have a Pet Hospital and Grooming, but this location is still much worse than other Petsmarts and Petcos (for that matter). My suggestion is to go to Petco in Milford (which is much better, yet at least 20 minutes from here… too bad there isn’t another reasonable place to pet shop). But if that’s too far, I guess people will have to continue shopping here… maybe things will get better.
Located in the Shoppes @ Blackstone Valley, right off Route 146 in Millbury (Exit 9). Petsmart is in the side with Michaels and Pier 1.
Not a place I’d return, but it has to work for people living in this area. 2 stars.

Horrible service. Went to get a simple fish tank and rather than educate and inform, the sales rep was argumentative and rude. Will not be frequenting this place again.
On the flip side, the rep in the reptile area was friendly and helpful. You need to more employees like her.

Hope you never get the crabby old woman named Cheryl typically found in the fish department. Every time I go here she is rude to me and acts like she knows everything about anything and barely acknowledges her customers existence I’ve witnessed her ignore someone ahead of me for picking a fish. She saw them, looked back down at the podium, looked back up when they said «Excuse me» and walked away. She is awful. They have some great employees though like Crystal. She’s an employee they need. And some others that I don’t know the names of. And their selection could be better. Like a lot better. And they could have crickets in stock for more than one day a week. But they’re the closest to me and decently priced.

This store was bad they groomed my dogs like crap they were so uneven and when I heard that they don’t force dry their dogs they only crate dry them I was upset my dogs could have gotten hot spots plus the staff didn’t know a thing about the food and wouldn’t help me they kept ignoring me I suggest never going here go find an independent pet store they’re a lot more friendly and have better food treats and services

PetSmart in Millbury has very kind staff & trainers. I like the variety of healthy choices of food & treats that are available there. The only issue that I have is that because the store is so large and busy they do not take the time to actually care for my puppy. Took her there for grooming and yes she looked great but they said she had to be there for 3 – 4 hours. She’s a puppy and needs to be able to «go potty» within that time frame. Despite having her go potty prior to grooming she still proceeded to pee at the register when she was let out of the crate in the grooming area. Of course I had to pay first but would have rather taken her right outside to pee first. No staff helped me clean it up. I had my hands full trying to pay with an active, curious puppy at the same time with other dogs/children trying to meet my pup. Very difficult frustrating… I think a smaller, more personal groomer would work better for us.

Rating for their grooming center. Very professional and dogs come out looking great. If they don’t, just ask and they’ll redo to your liking. Staff is friendly and professional. Notified me right away when my dog hurt himself in their care, took him to banfied to be seen by the vet at their expense. I was very impressed and pleased with their response. Very much appreciated!

This is the only pet store that I’ll go to if I need stuff for my dogs and cats. The staff are super friendly and the store is clean and big enough that you can comfortably walk around with your dog. The grooming salon staff are so great with the animals and they just adore my cats, so that’s a plus. Even though having a vet inside the store is really convenient, I don’t use Bandfield because it’s extremely expensive and the vets in there don’t get down on the same level as my animals. I like to know that they’ll get down on the floor with the dogs and really interact with them. All in all, a really great store if you’re looking for things for your pets.

The store was clean, the staff was pleasant. Prices were on par with Petco. I like the fact that there is a Vet located right inside the store. Was a bit disappointed with the amount of animals on display for sale. Selection is a bit lacking.
